Just wanted to share this with you, Anja

Birthday boy card with Clear Dollar Stamps

A birthday card for my son's friend, all stamps used are from Clear Dollar Stamps.
Cool ride, Glory days and Flying by are the names of the sets.
After I took the picture I did fix the ends of the ribbon, as they are very uneven! I bet the birthday boy could care less, LOL!
The big plane is watercoloured with Tombo's, cut out and popped up.
I resisted the urge to put some stickles on it.....and maybe the ribbon is already to much for a boy, oh well, it's done.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Just Rite birthday

No pink in this card, it's hard to stay away from any shade of pink but I did it.
This colour combo is totally different and if it wasn't for the dp I don't think I would have put those colours together. I had fun playing with flower punches and dies since I didn't have anything to match in my flower bag. I am patiently....well not really, waiting for a package in the mail to make flowers.....I will show it when I get it.
The stamps are from Just Rite and the shapes are all kind of Nestabilities.
Have a great day, it's snowing and blowing here and I was surprised that the kids went to school, hopefully we'll get them back safe, take care, Anja

More Penny Black

I seem to be a roll this month, a card every day, and today is no exception.
It's another image I coloured on Monday afternoon, and I still have a few more, turned into this card. The flowers are from the Dollar store, I did put another centre in them, instead of bright yellow it's some teal bling.
The rest is pretty basic, maybe I should have put some "water" on the floor....oh well, this is one tidy cat! Nobody in my house can seem to take a bath without flooding the whole bathroom, LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Pink and green again....

Another pink and green card.....don't worry I am almost out of the bright pink!
This is a Penny Black stamp, watercoloured with Tombo's and stickled up. Yesterday afternoon I spent the afternoon at the kitchen table with a friend colouring away.....some coffee, some chocolate....
The frog on the left is popped up because I messed up my colouring. The flowers are from a bag a found, bought a long time ago.
The sentiment is from CTMH.
I will try to use some other colours soon. But who doesn't like pink, LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #53

Sweet Monday Morning delay!! I love it when the phone rings on Monday morning at 6 AM......and then there is a 2 hour school delay. Oh, turn off your alarm, and snuggle deep in to the blankets!
That's about the only phone call I like to get when I am still in bed, way to early!!!
Anyway, this card is for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #53, check it out here:
www.kgiron.blogspot.com
I had this dp and matched the colours on the stamped image with it. I don't think I have ever used this mint green paper in a card, I had to dig into my old stack of Creative Memories paper to find it. The little silver accents are called spacers, I think, they are used for beading and I put a little bling in the centre.
Now I am off to do some cleaning, and laundry of course, have a great day, Anja

Kissing under the umbrella...

That's my guess...that they are kissing under the umbrella, a cute young couple! This is a card for an engagement. It's the first time I have used this stamp, I had the paper picked out before I started colouring, yep watercolouring with Tombo's. The skirt from the girl is paperpieced, is that even a word?

The sentiment is from Verve, love the size and variety of those.

Some flowers from Nestabilities, MS borderpunch and bling from the Dollar Store.

I am not really sure about this card....but since I have nothing else new to show today I decided to put it on here. Hopefully I will have some stamping time today, it's a dreary day, we are supposed to get rain, lots of it.

Take care and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #52

I was in the mood to make a flower card! And that's what I did, pink, flowers, stickles and bling....they always work for me!
This is for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge#52, check it out here: www.kgiron.blogspot.com
I know, it's almost Sunday again... the sketch was on my desk the whole week, I always think I have more time to stamp than I really get, it's called life and that is okay.
The sun is shining here, looks like there are a million diamonds in the snow, beautiful!
Thanks for looking and have a great day, Anja

Lighthouse birthday card

Another card with a set from Clear Dollar Stamps, do you love them already too?
This set is called "Sheltering Lights", the images are simple with a few nice sentiments, though the sentiment used here is from CTMH. The nice thing is that they are so easy to colour!
I used my watercolour paper and Tombo's and I am pretty pleased how it turned out!
Overall I think it makes a nice masculine birthday card.
Thanks for stopping by and take care, Anja

It's amazing what you can learn from this........I learned this.......I make and the girls take LOL!!

They like the stuff precut and ready to go!!! Oh, and did I mention there will be some chocolate.....to put in the box.

See you there, Anja

Happy Anniversary!

Second post today, this one if for my husband, today is our 21st anniversary and I made him a card to tell him........... well, that's tmi! I have followed the sketch for this challenge over at Clear Dollar Stamps, CIC 5,

http://www.clearlyistamp.typepad.com/

Also I noticed that one of the little rhinestones fell off...I should put that on again.

I had an idea in my head, wanted to use "manly" colours but also some hearts.....

The stamps are from CDS, a set called "sweet friends".

It took me a while but it's done, it's like marriage, sometimes it's hard work, but lots of fun, LOL!

Have a great day, Anja

High hopes baby boy!

On Monday morning when I went to stamp with friends I took a few stamps, my watercolour paper and my Tombo's and some of the dp I was hoping to use. I didn't get much done....but I did colour this cute elephant from High Hopes. Later on I stickled him up and made this card.
I thought my dh will probably tell me that elephants don't come in this colour but I was wrong, he really liked it LOL!
I am just happy with my colouring, some of you may know that it took me forever to learn this but I am glad I kept on trying.
Have a great day, Anja

Spring, anyone?

Some people are so ready for spring, some go find some sunshine away from home, some just sit it out.....I guess I belong to this last group.

But it's spring in my craft room! This card makes me think of spring, the flowers and the butterfly are from my collection, the dp is a scrap out of the bin, the ribbon probably from Michaels, it actually has white dots on the other side but I decided to use the plain side.

Hope you have a good day, take care, Anja

More filigree

A quick post today as I want to go to a friends house and do a little stamping, here is another card with this elegant stamp. Very similar to the first one I made. This one has no sentiment so it could be used for different things. in my box it goes.
Have a great day, take care, Anja

Simple baby boy

Just a simple baby boy card with almost no stamping other than the sentiment from Verve and the inside. The feet are dry embossed and I put some stickles on the toes. A piece of dp out of my scrap bin, some ribbon, bling, and Nestabilities, very easy and quick.
Sorry, the picture isn't the greatest.
Have a good day, we are off to church and then skating on a rink in an old barn with friends......
I'll be stiff tomorrow LOL! Take care, Anja

Elegant filigree

Charming, isn't it? This card is made with the retiring set Elegant Filigree from Clear Dollar Stamps, and I think it's just beautiful. It stamps very nice and crisp and I had to use some of the charms I found at the Dollar Store. Very easy and quick card to make.

Thanks for stopping by, take care, Anja

Masculine birthday card

Another card with some of my new stamps from....Clear Dollar Stamps, yes, it was a big envelope full with stamps!
When I saw this set I fell in love right away, I know, it doesn't take much to get me to buy some stamps but this set is just perfect for masculine cards!
Today is another Friday for a challenge over at Clear Dollar Stamps so I am off to check that out and hopefully will have some time to stamp later today. After the groceries, the laundry, the cleaning...
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Baby girl card

As you may have noticed I had some serious shopping time this month, so I have made a resolution not to buy anything more this.....month. Thankfully the month is almost over!
The scalloped hearts were hard to get but I got them at Sheila's, www.scrappingreatdeals.com
The bib stamp is actually from the Dollar Store, the sentiment from Verve, dp from Hobby Lobby, the ribbon from Joan's, a Martha Stewart borderpunch and a little flower punch from the Dollar bin at Michaels.
It's an awful little thing to use, very hard, but I like the little size.
I think I have named enough stores in one post!
Take care and thanks for looking, Anja

Just Chillin'

Here is another card with some of my new stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps, the set is called Just Chillin', this cute bear was so much fun to watercolour with my Tombo's. The set comes with sentiments for Christmas but also some for winter and some for friendship.

The dp is from BoBunny and it's shiny, very pretty! There is fake snow on the bottom and when it was still wet I put some glitter on it and of course some red stickles, can't make a card without stickles, LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and take care, Anja

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #51

This card is for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge#51, check it out at www.kgiron.blogspot.com

I think this is a wonderful sketch for all the cute little stamps you have, or at least I know I have some.

The stamps I have used are from Clear Dollar Stamps, www.cleardollarstamps.com

Yesterday my order came in, made me a happy stamper. I was waiting very patiently for them,LOL!

They are stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with Tombo's, the dp is from my scrapbin and it happened to be double sided.

I am happy with this card, it certainly didn't bug me to make it, too much fun, LOL!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

A different challenge.....

I got this stamped image, already coloured and matted in black from a friend....she said she didn't have the right colours to finish it......so she gave it to me and "told" me to finish it, LOL!
Oh, and the ribbon was wrapped around it.

So, I looked at it, didn't see anything wrong with it, went trough my stash of scrap paper, and voila, here is my card, sorry, the card!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge # 1

Baby, it's cold outside! Brr, I think this is weather for the polar bears and not for us. Luckily in our craft room it can be spring, thanks to Laurie over at , http://www.clearlydelightful.typepad.com/ ,

who is starting a new monthly challenge on the 5th, the challenge is open for 2 weeks. You can find all the details on her blog.

The theme is BUNNY/RABBITS, and that makes me think of spring.

I really thought I couldn't play because I don't have any rabbit/bunny stamps....till I started cleaning up and looked at my Penny Black stamps.

So, here is my card! The image is from PB and the sentiment from Close to my Heart.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Thank you cards with dp

I have been asked to make a few thank you cards for somebody, so that's what I have been doing. Trying hard to use my dp, both of them have flowers, surprise!

Today I am gonna try to organize a little more of my craft space........but maybe I will end up making cards because of all the stuff you find when you start cleaning up and organizing, LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Penny Black birthday card

Wow, I have posted a card every day so far this year!! Aren't you impressed?
I am pretty sure I won't be able to keep that up, life usually gets in the way a bit but that's okay!
I am trying to use more of my huge stack of dp, although this is a new piece for me, I see those beautiful papers and then I can't seem to corporate them in my cards so the stack is growing....
On this card I have used a square charm, not the right name probably, also one of my new things, the Penny Black image is watercoloured with Tombo's and the sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps. And some stickles on the flower and the hedgehog. I had to look it up in the dictionary because I didn't know the English name for this cute little animal.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Clean and simple card

According to my very supporting DH,this card is so so, it's okay, I can handle it, he thinks you never see a car in this colour in real life. He is most likely right, but it's a card for a little boy, and the colours work together, and little boys have big imagination, he should know that, we have 4 boys!
We woke up to a couple of centimeters more snow and now everything looks fresh again, very pretty! I am glad we didn't get the freezing rain they were talking about.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Another Just Rite thank you card

I shouldn't been stamping today after a wonderful day of shopping yesterday. Yes, I got some new goodies, some paper, some charms, some stamps and some more.
This is another Just Rite thank you card with some Mind's Eye dp, flowers and bling, I guess it is a real Anja card LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Happy Monkey!

This monkey is happily dangling on a rope, exactly how I feel today.....I have been invited to go along on a shopping trip.....o yes, I am going! Do I need anything, oh no, but I girl can never have enough stamps or paper or....LOL!
So I have to get ready, thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day, I am planning on it, Anja

MOJO120

My card for today is for the MOJO 120 challenge, check it out here: www.mojomonday.blogspot.com
I have inked up an favourite from SU, Garden Silhouette and the sentiment is from Verve Stamps. I inked the stamp in celery and then rolled it into a artichoke inkpad.
And of course I have used my Nestabilities and CB folders, did we ever make cards before those products? LOL!
Have a great day, it's snowing here again and I have to go to town today, don't like driving in this weather but I guess it's part of Canadian life. Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Just Rite thank you card

It has finally stopped snowing, the kids are back in school today, they started with a 2hour delay so we didn't have to get up too early this morning. I wanted to show you another picture of the beautiful snow, it makes things look so nice.

My card for today is a thank you card for a friend, made with Just Rite stamps.

It took me a while and I am not completeley sure, I kept thinking something was missing....so I put it away, worked on it again and now it's done, it's in the mail and hopefully she likes it.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Snow, snow, let it snow and a babycard

It's been snowing and snowing and it doesn't seem to stop. It's pretty! So there is time to play in my craft room since we don't seem to be going anywhere......

I have made this baby boy card with another image from Clear Dollar Stamps, watercoloured with my Tombo's. I guess this card could be again for the Clearly Inspired Challenge 4......do you think I can submit 2 cards?

Have a great day, enjoy the snow if you have any and thanks for stopping by, Anja

So not like me at all!

A girl with an ice cream from C.C. design, watercoloured with my Tombo's and some stickles.
There are so many different things you can do with stamping and it's fun to try something outside your "own box", that's what I did here, try something different.
I am not sure how much I like it....it's not really me, I don't even like icecream LOL!
Oh well, I am sure that it will be a good card for somebody, for now it will sit in my box.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

CIC4 , The first challenge in the new year!

Happy New Year to all of you!!!
I have spent the morning making some cards, what a perfect way to start a new year!
This one is for CIC4, check it out here www.clearlyistamp.typepad.com, and the challenge is to use your brads. Now we all have lots of those LOL!
I also wanted to submit it for the MOJO challenge, www.mojomonday.blogspot.com but I just couldn't put another embellishment on the right corner, with the way this flower was stamped.
Where we used to live in Holland there were lots of greenhouses full with these flowers, for almost nothing you could buy them so fresh that after 4 weeks, even when they were not all dead, you were happy to throw them out.
Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Cool ride

Wouldn't it be nice to go for a ride in this cool car from Clear Dollar Stamps?

Maybe not in the winter but I would love to do that in the summer. I was inspired for this card by a card on the blog from Clear Dollar Stamps, another old timer was coloured in those colours and I really liked it. The colours from those cars were so different than what we are used to nowadays. I have also used some borders from Cuttlebug, hard to see in the picture.

Thanks for looking, Anja

Happy New Year

When I was typing this post I got a nice phone call.....so just the card got posted.
Anyway, I did it again, I forgot to send a Christmas card to some people........every year you think you are not gonna forget anybody.....so I made some Happy New Year cards with this cute snowman stamp. We finally got some snow here and today it looks rather nasty outside and the roads are very slippery. I think this was the first green Christmas for us here in Canada, nice for driving but it looked, let's say, interesting.
Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #50

Two posts in one day! The snow keeps coming down and I am really enjoying myself in my craft room/space.

This picture doesn't do the card justice but I can't get it any better.

The card is for a 50th wedding anniversary and for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge,

you can check it out here http://www.kgiron.blogspot.com/

I wanted to use the pearls but also the old silver accents, this is a square card and it's busy but I like it. When using the Just Rite stamps I seem to be in an all elegant style mood, it's too bad the picture isn't the greatest, the card looks way better IRL.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas to all of you!!

More Just Rite......

Those new Just Rite stamps makes you want to try different things, I am having a lot of fun with them. Getting some punches out of the drawers and such stuff.
I especially love it that the stamps go so well with the Nestabilities. Anyway, I am back to the kitchen to prepare for tomorrow...
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #49

I was looking at other people's blog and found this sweet challenge, you can look it up here:

http://kgiron.blogspot.com/

Since I got some new Just Rite stamps I decided to play, so much fun!

Love how this card turned out, the colours are so sharp together and the Just Rite stamps........

really like them. I have no trouble liking any "new" thing for me, LOL!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Some last Christmas cards

I have to admit that I did not make all my Christmas cards this year....... I have made some, as much as I could and the rest came out of a box. Since I needed a few more , I made a couple of this kind and now I am all done, just in time! I had decided that as much as I love cardmaking, I don't need the stress! Maybe I should start earlier or make them in the summer as I used to do a few years back, oh well, Christmas isn't about the cards!

Have a great day, thanks for stopping by, Anja

More cards.....

This is the "masculine" card to go in the set for my friend, the idea for this card is not from myself. My DH got a card like this and I have used her idea to make this one (thanks Jeannette).

Pink, green, flowers and bling.....all the things I really like, hope she likes it too.

Christmas preparations are on it's way, presents are wrappes and the grocery list is being made.

I am not looking forward to go to the grocery store this week, but I shouldn't complain, I am blessed that we can do so.

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Happy times!

The dinner table is full again at our house!! And I am so enjoying these times!
On top of that I had some stamping time, so much fun! This card is one of a set of 3 for a friend, she has asked me to make a couple of sets of cards and of course I said yes.
The flowers are from a set of Nestabilities, I had them for a while but didn't really use them, till I got the idea of inking them up when the die is still in, I know, the package says that you can do that..... So now you can have any colour you need, I was impressed with myself LOL!
Hope you are all enjoying this special time of the year, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Jet lag is wearing off......

The jet lag is wearing off.....it always takes me a couple of days to get back in to my routine.
This card took me forever....such a simple card but I couldn't do it. I was afraid I left my creativity in Holland.
We had a wonderful trip, way to short but we knew that. We had a great time with family and friends, enjoyed every minute and ate way too much. Now it's good to be home again.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

Masculine card

This is a card from last week, didn't think I made a picture but apparently I did.
The tree has flowersoft on it, and the church is stamped twice and popped up.
For me it's an okay card, oh well, it is as it is, take care, Anja

A cased shaker card

My first shaker card, or I think it is, I bought those handy things, don't know how you call them but they make it very easy to make a shaker card. Oh and the idea of the card is not mine, I have made a few changes and I am happy with it.

Today I am getting ready to leave for our trip to Holland, I have 2 more cards to show you so I have scheduled them to appear over the next couple of days, if blogger is nice to us.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, I'll be back in a week, Anja
