Garden scene for CRAFT A SCENE

As I said in my first post for Craft a Scene , I do not like to garden and my husband does most of the yard work. He loves big rocks and trees, and after 13 years here our back yard looks like a park! I simply enjoy all his hard work!

So I was thinking about that while I was making this card, the dog is chasing the butterfly as I wanted to make it a bit more playful. I started out stamping the garden foreground from Art Impressions with memento ink. Then I added the twisted oak, SC 226 E from stampscapes. I inked the stamp up with Tim Holtz distress markers ( vintage photo ,peeled paint, forest moss).

I coloured the foreground and the rock with Spectrum Noir markers and Prisma pencils. The wildflowers were added and I have no idea who made them, the set has no name, sorry. I also added some greenery between the trees with a sedge filler from Stampscapes.

Some flowers were added with SU ink, more mustard and perfect plum, around the rocks. The dog is from Pergamano Flower girls, stamped, coloured, cut out and popped up. The butterflies are from Martha Stewart, the red frame is also made with Martha Stewart punches.

The roses are made with a die from MFT, I also sprayed them with gold glimmermist. At last, I had to add some stickles on the flowers, yellow and fruit punch.Ribbon is from my stash.

All in all, lots of steps to make this card, hope you like it and that you have a change to play with us! Thanks for stopping by, Anja

One more baby card...

Completely forgot to post this one....another baby card, same image, same layout, nothing too exciting! Summer is here and life gets in the way of my crafting and blogging time, lol!

The weather has been hot, did I say HOT, and we have used the pool a lot. We got new windows installed so I had to give my house a good cleaning, all done now! The boys are all working, and they all start pretty early, like 5 AM, and 6.30 AM, but that is for the boys, I still get to sleep in a little. So there is a lot of driving involved since they not all have their license yet, how I love being a mom!!

I hope to do some stamping today, have a great day, Anja

Flower pots in the garden

Happy CANADA DAY!!! I am very proud to be Canadian, very thankful to live in this great country! A part of me will always be Dutch, but Canada is our home now.

A new challenge over at CRAFT A SCENE, our theme this month is "in the garden" and HEARTFELT CREATIONS is our sponsor, come on over and play with us! To be honest, I don't like to garden, thankfully my dh does, but I love spending time in the garden. This year we made our deck bigger and we have lots of pots with flowers, I used this as my inspiration.

For this card I used some Penny Black stamps, from the set In the garden and stamped some flower pots, coloured them with Spectrum Noir markers and Prismacolour pencils. I also popped up some little flowers. The sky is sponged on with Tim Holtz in, tumbled glass. I added some grass from Rubbernecker, sentiment is from Hero Arts. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

After I coloured the image, I got out my stickles...I have used a lot of different colours and if I didn't have the matching colour, I used diamond, will go with any colour.
