CIC 10, Easter Blessings

CIC 10, Easter Blessings
This is my card for CIC 10, www.clearlyistamp.typepad.com
I have kept it simple with some soft colours like spring. It feels like Spring here and the next couple of days the weather is supposed to be beautiful, perfect for Easter.
The sentiment on this card is from Clear Dollar Stamps and the cute chickens are from Stampendous. The sketch was given for the challenge, I like this layout and hope to use it more.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Missing you

Did anybody miss me? I had a great time scrapbooking, 37 layouts done!!
I am missing our oldest son, who is in Alberta for a couple of months, so I made him a card.
The owl is coloured with prismacolour pencils and gamsol. Sentiment, ribbon and punch from SU, I don't know the name of the owl set, I got it at the garage sale. Borderpunch from MS, CB and scorpal background. Red pearls from the Dollarstore and Nestabilities of course.
How did we make cards before Nestabilities and Cuttlebug??
The sentiment is popped up, I guess that's all there is to tell about this card.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day, Anja

Simple sympathy card

Inkadinkadoo flowers watercoloured with Tombo's and a sentiment from SU. I haven't used the colour apricot in a long time, it goes very nicely with the green.
I kept the card pretty simple, I have to say that I am pleased how the colouring of the flowers turned out and no stickles this time, LOL!
Nothing more to say about this one, better get back to getting ready for my scrapbook weekend starting tomorrow morning, yippee!
Have a great day, thanks for looking, Anja

Did I mess up?

My scrapbooking stuff is almost all packed for the weekend coming up, I am looking forward to work on my albums, they have been somewhat neglected.......This girl is from Greeting Farm, watercoloured with Tombo's and paper from Basic Grey. I am not sure what I was thinking when I did what I did with the sentiment....it looks....interesting? Or maybe I shouldn't have done it this way.....but then it was already glued on.....didn't wanna rip the dp.....oh, decisions, decisions.... And I really liked the rest of the card. Did I mess it up?
Let's say it was a nice try, LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for looking, don't hesitate to tell me how you think this card turned out, take care, Anja

Happy birthday with C.C. design rubber stamps

This morning I got a couple of images coloured and this is one of them. The set is from C.C. design rubber stamps, I bought it at the garage sale. The flowers are punched out of glitter cardstock, the image is watercoloured with Tombo's. It was fun and it turned out as a good card, I think.
The red ribbon was easily found in my all organized ribbon box, LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

An old favourite!

I don't have a lot of inspiration today, probably because I am getting ready for a scrapbookweekend. So I picked out an old favourite stampset and used some spring colours to make this easy Easter card. Stamps from SU, sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps.
The weather has certainly changed here, it's a lot cooler and very windy and raining.
It would have been nice to have winter done and over with! But it's perfect to be in the basement and sort through paper and pictures.
Hope you have some time to stamp today, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Back to my flowers for now.....

Back to a flower card for now... this stamp was also one of the treasures I found last week at all the stamping garage sales. It's really nice for colouring, prismacolour pencils and gamsol were used. So there is a lot of variety in my assortment of stamps, LOL!
This is for a lady from church, she is going to chemotherapy and she loves flowers.
Hopefully this card will bring a smile to her face.
I am sitting at the computer with my coffee enjoying the peace and quiet in my house, soon the boys will be up, they better be , we are going to church and then we are off visiting friends.
Have a great day, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Casing myself!

Since I really liked the layout of the other Greeting Farm girl card I decided to use it again, switched things a little bit. Those stamps are so much fun to colour, I have used prismacolour pencils with Gamsol. I am really falling in love with all those cutesie images!!! Might be dangerous, LOL! So many things to try and not enough time.
Hope you are having a great day, thanks for looking, Anja

Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit, this frog is singing happy birthday to somebody!
I love those Penny Black images, so much fun to colour. The sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamp.
It's a birthday card for a boy, hope he likes it.
The image is coloured with prismacolour pencils and gamsol, and a little bit of stickles was put on the water. Dp and ribbon from my stash. I am happy to tell you that I have organized all my ribbon by colour......I have also made a promise....not to buy any more ribbon for a while.....LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Greeting farm girl

Isn't she cute? This Greeting Farm girl? I got some stamped images from a friend, lots of cute images so let the colouring begin. This time I have used my prismacolour pencils and gamsol, those pencils are amazing, so easy to work with.
The sentiment is from Verve stamps, I like how the card turned out.
I am going for a walk, the weather is so nice, about 16 degrees Celsius!!!
Take care and thanks for looking, Anja

Another masculine card

Since I didn't get to finish a card I am working on ( I took the kids skating since it is Marchbreak), I have decided to share another masculine card from the class I will be teaching at SGD on April 7.
Masculine cards are just hard to make, but this one is quite simple. A little bit of paper piecing and some CB pieces, I like the bright colours.
Thanks for stopping by, take care. Anja

Krafting Kimmie stamp......

Finally I inked up some of my Krafting Kimmie stamps.....you know when you have too many....let's not go there, LOL!
The same dp was used as on my previous card, can you tell it was on my desk?
Some flowers are from punches , some from my dies from Holland, www.crealies.nl
The dots on her dress and along the border are make with liquid pearl gold, this colour matched the paper perfectly.
And again she was watercoloured with Tombo's, the sentiment is from Hanna stamps.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge # 3 , CDBC3

Here is my early Monday post, I was trying to schedule this post for tomorrow but Blogger is not doing what I want, oh well, better early than late.
This card is for the challenge over at Laurie's blog, check it out HERE, play if you have a change and you will get a digital image emailed to you and there is also a change to win blogcandy!
I got this stamp yesterday at the garage sale for $1, now that's a good deal!
I have used the dp that sat on my table, watercoloured the flowers with Tombo's. stickeled it up a bit, put on some gold shiny dots, followed the sketch for the challenge and voila, here is my card.
Now I am off to bed, tomorrow is a busy day, take care, Anja

Going green, CIC 9

This Friday there was another challenge posted for the Cleary Inspired Challenge, CIC 9.
Going green is the theme!
Check it out, you can be part of this challenge too!
I have used the set Dog days and Dog Days Celebrations from Clear Dollar Stamps, those two sets really complement each other. The sentiment is from Hanna stamps, I found this set at the garage sale yesterday, lots of sentiments and they fit nicely with the punch from SU, can't think of the name now.
First I had the dog watercoloured with Tombo's, he was gray, then that really didn't work with this dp so I went back with some orange/brown markers. The dog and his hat are cut out and popped up, so are the balloons.
Hope you like this card as much as I do, LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Greeting Farm boy card

I am so happy that my mojo seems to be back, feels good and the other thing is that my craft room is cleaned up and I am ready to roll again.
This cute dude is a stamp from the Greeting Farm and I have coloured him with Tombo's using the colours from the dp. I am really happy with this card!
I needed the card last night so it's gone already and it was well received, I think.
Have a great day, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Birthday easel card

An easel card for my friend who is celebrating her birthday.
Since my mojo seems to be gone, I went with one of my favourite colour combo's and flowers.
The silver butterflies seem to be a perfect accent.
I am happy how it turned out.
You can see that I messed up the sentiment, I had to do it again and cover it up.
There is also some celery ink sponged on , hard to see in the picture and I put first stickles and then diamond glaze on the flowers.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Sponged sympathy

A sympathy card for my box, hopefully I don't need it anytime soon. My creative juices aren't really doing anything these days so I went on Splitcoast and looked at other peoples cards.
I came across something very similar to this, I am not sure who it was, but I like this card.
Super easy to make, stamped with Versafine on glossy paper and 2 shades of green were sponged over it. A MS border, some brads and the sentiment, easy as that.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

More like a scrapcard.

Today I am sharing with you a very quick card since I really didn't get any stamp time.
I had this dp and matched it with one of my punches. The square is made with MS around the corner punches and another border punch from MS on the bottom, some ribbon and bling and a little bit of stamping on the square, hard to see in the picture.
Thanks for looking and have a great day, Anja

How hard can it be?

How hard can it be to make a flower card with my favourite colour combo??
Let me tell you, this card is finally done, it was a card before.......3 cards actually. It just didn't turn out as I thought it should, completeley lost my sense of creativity.....grrr!
The thought about having to post a card that I really didn't like made me shudder........so....I went back and let the pink be the pink...picked up a sheet of vanilla paper and finished the card.
How easy was that!
Now I am going for a walk, the weather is so nice here in South Western Ontario, lots of sunshine and blue skies with about 12 degrees Celsius!!
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Penny Black from leftovers

I had this image laying around, coloured it a while ago with this dp with it to use. I know I have used this combo before but since I didn't have a lot of stamping time the last couple of days I used this cute image and finished the card.
There is no sentiment, my son asked me for a couple of cards to take back to college.....mmm, mostly for girls, he said, of course I said I was more than happy to make him some,LOL!
Take care and thanks for looking, Anja

Thank you with SU punch

It's been a while since I got some SU stuff....... Last week I got this cute punch, with a bird and a branch. Finally I had a change to play with it. The ribbon is a Dollar store find, the colour combo came of my desk, from a big pile of scraps those colours jumped at me.
Not a lot of stamping, only the sentiment from Clear Dollar stamps, such an easy card to make.
Hope you have a change to enjoy the beautiful weather, I am going for a walk!
Take care, Anja

Basketball and a card!

With all the excitement this weekend I forgot to post a card this morning. So the first picture is the card for today, this is one of the 4 cards I am gonna do for a class at SGD.
The date is April 7 and we are gonna make 4 masculine cards! Check out the website! You know how hard those masculine cards are, this is your change to get some ready for you to use.
The picture below shows you what I have been busy with, basketball. The boys won BRONZE in the Thames Valley Schoolboard Finals!! Way to go Jaguars!!!
Basketball is done and over and now we are moving to badminton! But first we are gonna enjoy the beautiful weather we are having here in South Western Ontario.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Welcome to Canada!

Friends of ours have adopted a girl from China and she is home now! Today we are having a shower for them, welcoming her to Canada! I have used this cute ballerina from CDS and of course lots of pink. I went with colours from the dp, no clue who it's from, sorry.
Hope she likes it!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Purple, pansies, pearls and a bad picture

Purple pansies on this card with pearls and liquid pearls along the pansies border.
The sun is shining bright this morning so I took the picture in the kitchen, not such a good idea. And for one or another reason if I want to upload pictures more than once a day I have to restart the pc, so slow, what a pain. But I am not complaining about the sun, it's lovely and it makes walking outside a very pleasant outing.
I love this colour combo and I have used it before, flowers, bling and ribbon, an Anja card, I would say.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

It's hip to be square, CIC#8

It's hip to be square, that's the challenge this week at CIC Clear Dollar Stamps !
Finally I got a change to play and was I statisfied with my card. You don't wanna know how many pieces I threw out.....
So I sponged the sky and the grass on with Ranger distress inks on glossy paper, let it dry for a little bit, and then stamped 2 images from the set Bitty Botanicals with black versafine. It's really not difficult at all! The sentiment is also from Clear Dollar Stamps, this set is called Kid Encouragements. After it was all dry I made the corners I bit darker, put the bling and ribbon on, voila, your card is ready!
The size of this card is 41/4 x 41/4, so it will still fit in a regular envelope, I kind of like that since I don't have a lot of different sizes envelopes. But I guess I could always get some, LOL!
Have a great day and if you have a change to be hip today go on over and play too, Anja

Star birthday card!

On Sunday we celebrated my son's birthday, he is a leap year baby so only every 4 years he has a "real" one. Here is the card I made for him.
I tried to keep the colours how he likes them, you know being a teenager, I tell you, there are certain cool things and.....
He liked it, so everybody happy!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Simple sympathy card

A CAS sympathy card, I like them that way. First I thought there was a lot of white space left but I kept it this way. There is a nice verse on the inside, I should have made a picture of that too.
Today I am hoping to make a card for the Clearly Inspired challenge, we had a busy weekend with no stamping time so hopefully today.
Take care and thanks for looking, Anja
