A colour challenge today, over at the CRAZIES. And an interesting one, I think, hot pink, coral, turquoise and gold.....I had to think about it for a while.....
This is what I came up with, I used my Tim Holtz spritzer to spritz on some coral, hot pink and turquoise and I stamped the flower from Unity in turquoise, sentiment from Paper Smooches. I added a gold layer and a ribbon. Check out what the other design team members came up with and join us,if you like!
Saturday was here before I knew it.....almost forgot to make a card.....The challenge today over at the Crazies is , it's world Square Dance day....you can find the details HERE.
The Silhouette came to my rescue, I know, this couple is not square dancing but actually ballroom dancing.
The card is square and the frame is cut with Nestabilities Fleur des Lis with black, shiny cardstock, the couple is also cut with the shiny, black paper. The sentiment is done with a sketch pen in the Silhouette, love that feature. A light blue bow and some sparkles and the card was done. I am gonna give it to my hubby, he is quite a good dancer and I love to dance with him!
Did you know it's World HELLO day! Well, it is , so a Happy Hello to you all!
You can check out the challenge from the Crazy4Challenges HERE.
I have used an autumn stamp from Penny Black. The background is one of my mixed media backgrounds.
Let me see if I remember what I did....first I ironed a wrinkled piece of waxpaper onto a glossy piece of cardstock, I then sprayed it with a yellow Dylusions spray. When this piece was dry, I used glossy embossing paste on a stencil and let it dry again, the stamps is stamped with saddle brown Stazon ink, sentiment from Flourishes. Hope you like it, Anja
Happy Saturday, time for another challenge over at the CRAZIES, you can check it out HERE.
I coloured the pumpkins from Heartfelt Creations with primacolour pencils and Gamsol, sentiment from Just Rite and the green on top is a Stampscapes stamp. I don't have much with Halloween so I made it a Thanksgiving card. Hope you like it, Anja
Happy Friday! Sharing with you a quick and simple card on the SGD blog today! You can check it out HERE. Memory Box dies come in so handy when you need a quick card, the purple is a metallic paper , it's hard to see in the picture. Hope you like it, Anja
It's National Cardmaking Day TODAY!!! Hope you all have time to spend some time crafting!!
The challenge this week over at the CRAZIES is a color challenge, orange-green-purplpe, halloween colors.
To be honest.....I don't do Halloween very well....my excuse is, I did not grow up with it and I just don't get it. When the boys where younger we would go around the block (in the country) and hit all the houses (about 14) the boys would each have a big bag full with candy and we got to see all the neighbours!!
Anyhow, enough babbling...on to my card....the purple background is shiny paper so its hard to take a good picture, flower is a rose die from Spellbinders, frame and fleur des lis from Silhouette and I used a variety of punches to make the greenery and butterfly. Sentiment from Just Rite.
Fall is here and for us it came with beautiful, sunny weather! Love this time of the year!
So for the challenge over at the CRAZIES, they ask you to use leaves on your card.
For my card, I made a background with Gelatos and then I added some alcohol ink....just to see what would happen...did I discover a new technique? I don't know, I was just playing lol. The leaves are done with a gold paper and some Impression Obsession dies, the sentiment is embossed in gold. Some simple score lines and my card was done. Hope you like it. Have a great day, Anja
Happy Friday! This is the card I am sharing with you all over at the SGD blog, you can check the details out HERE. It is for Toonie Tuesday, September 30 th at 2 PM, bring a basic tool kit and a toonie and you are set to go. Enjoy this beautiful day, Anja
Recently I made a few flower cards with the Rubbernecker/Art impressions stamps...it was my Mom's birthday and I gave them to her. They are fun to make and not too hard, I have used distress inks, my spritzer, embossing powder and markers.....pretty basic. Hope you like them, Anja
I got a box of oil pastels, it looked so good, all the colours in a shiny new box and they were really cheap....I could not resist. Had to figure out how to use them but that's where You tube and Pinterest are for. And let me tell you, they are fun! I added a stencil with distress ink and some gold glimmermist, some dies and sentiment. Love the rich colours, hope you like it too! Have a great day, Anja
It happens to all of us....we forget someones birthday for whatever reason, so this week the challenge over at the CRAZIES is Belated Birthday. It might be a good idea to have some of those cards on hand, lol, if you are super organized! I love this Memory Box die , it cuts and embosses so nicely.
Hope you like it, please come over and check out the work of the other DT members and join us, if you can, we love to have you, till next time, Anja

I have neglected this blog a bit...oh well, life gets in the way and every week I post ont the blog from SGD and a card for Crazy4Challenges....it's not that I have no cards to post, there is never enough time in a day....maybe it will get better!
Hope you like this one! Have a great weekend! Till next time, Anja
IThe challenge this week over at the Crazies is an animal on your card, but not a bunny or a bear. I made this card with the help of my Silhouette, sentiment from CTMH, clouds from memory box, border from Martha Stewart. A son of friends is starting up to millk goats so I made him a card!
Posting from my phone and I dont know how to link it from here , so here is the link
Sharing a 3D card with you today for the challenge over at the CRAZIES. The inside from my card is from Sizzix and I used some punches from Martha Stewart and Marvy to make the flowers, the butterflies and some greenery. Sentiment is unknown, I have had for such a long time. For the front of the card I cut a stencil with the Silhouette and sponged on Tim Holtz peeled paint ink. This sentiment if from Close to my Heart.
Come on over to see what the other designteam members have created and join us in this challenge, if you like! Till next time, Anja
It's the third week of the month and that means we are having a sketch challenge over at the CRAZIES.
Sketches can make you cardmaking so much easier.....I wanted to use this lovely paper from Simple Stories and I just went with the sketch, no more guesssing...I like how this turned out...I have not much crafty time lately but things are looking better. Come on over and see what the other designteam members have created, get inspired and join us if you like! Happy Crafting, Anja
This card should have been posted on Saturday and I apologize for the delay, the card was done in time but I was not around to post it. Our oldest son had an accident Friday night...long story, he is gonna be okay, still in the hospital and in need of more surgery....
Anyhow, on to the card. A colour challenge this time over at the CRAZIES. Love the colours, for me it reminds me of the Dutch flag so I am gonna send this card to my Dutch girlfriend who is in Holland right now visiting family so I know she wont be around to look here. The die is from Memory Box, sentiment from IO ( I think) and I used a variety of embossing folders to do make the sunburst. Hope you like it! Till next time, Anja
Stencil it! Stencils are super in and the challenge this week at the Crazies is to use a stencil in any way you like.
I like to cut my own stencils with the silhouette and freezer paper. This one I sprayed with a colorbloom mist , then i cut out the circle and put my stamped image behind it. The flower is from Penny Black, butterfly from Cheery Lynn, sentiment from Paoersmooches.
School is out! But not for us yet, lol, the boys still have 2 weeks of school and then exams....
So for the challenge over at the CRAZIES today, the theme is school is out what are you gonna enjoy?
I gave it my own twist, crazy, isn't it? I am gonna enjoy the flowers this summer, after a long winter, it is so nice to finally have the warm weather! My farmer is happily working the fields, flowers and trees are blooming!
This flower is from Inkadinkadoo, an oldie but favourite. Coloured with Prisma's. Hope you like it!
Come on over, and see what all the other design team members have created!
It is sketch time this week over at the Crazies! This flower was lying around so I decided to use it for today. Stamp is from Just Rite, coloured with inktense pencils. I did not put a sentiment on , this way I can do that at the time I need to send it.
Hope you will join us in this challenge or get inspired by our design team!
Flowers on your card......love this challenge! It's Saturday and that means the Crazies have another challenge for you, flowers on your card this time. I used a stencil with some distress ink and then I sprayed over it with Pearl glimmermist, hard to see in the picture. Sentiment from Just Rite, flower is done with a Marvy punch and I used some gelatos and glimmermist on it. Love this effect.
Some pearls to finish it off, please check out what the other design team members created and join us in the challenge, if you like! Till next time, Anja
I have played with my Derwent inktense pencils a bit, it took me a while but I am getting comfortable with them now. This image is from Art Impressions, I cut it down quite a bit, and I cut around the lighthouse.
Then I put it on piece of watercolour paper on which I had made a sky with Tim Holtz distress inks and a brush. The two birds are done with a permanent marker. I was tempted to add some glitter....but I didn't, I don't think men really care about glitter, lol!
A sketch challenge with the Crazies, you can find all the details HERE.
My card is bright!! I pulled out some Gelatos and made a background on the oval, the flowers are made with punches and I put some Gelatos on it, I smeared it out with my finger. When it was all done, I sprayed on some Pearl glimmermist. A very different card for me, I really like the Gelatos, aren't you surprised....it is not hard to get me to like any product, lol!
A simple card for a girl from church. The stamp is inked up with 2 markers, I spritzed some Tim Holtz dusty concord marker on the background, butterfly from Cheery Lynn and sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps.
When cleaning up in my craft room I came across this flower stamp, it might be from Unity but I could be wrong, I forgot all about this stamp, might be a new favourite, lol!
Get your "egg" on, that's the theme over at the CRAZIES today! Well, I put a big egg on, can't miss it, lol!
It is cut with the Silhouette, sorry I did not have any egg stamps or dies, paired up with the Martha Stewart grass border and the sky is done with a piece of ripped paper towel and Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink. Sentiment from Clear Dollar stamps, twine from my stash.
You can read all about the challenge HERE, join us if you like, it's fun to play!!
