Simple stamping

I was looking at splitcoast and saw this nice colour combo so I had to try it.
See, sometimes it takes a lot of people to make a card, you see this and that and come up with something with a little bit of every body.
The stamps are from SU and the sentiment from Inkadinkadoo.
I am off to the dentist again, things are not going as well as I hoped, it's very red and swollen,
like the red in my card, LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Graduation, triathlon and a card...

It's been a busy couple of days....graduation was very nice, the triathlon was hard work, no I didn't do that, but my son did and it was only 185 km from home,
I had a little bit of stamping time after another long dentist appointment.
Apparently I am spending my time and money at the dentist this week(again). It's amazing how many things they can put in your mouth....and at that time you don't feel it and thankfully there are painkillers at home, LOL!
So about the stamping..........a simple card is all I could come up with. The stamps are from Clear Dollar stamps and the sentiment from Inkadinkadoo. I do like how it turned out but it's something I have done before.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

Graduation cards

Nothing like waiting till the last moment to make the cards you need.............graduation is around the corner and I didn't have the cards ready.
Today our oldest son is graduating, but since he is travelling/working in the States, I can't even send him a card, but I am very proud of him!!!
Tomorrow our 3rd son is graduation from grade school, and he will get the first card.
I am ready for this and on Friday night we are hosting a party for his whole class here at the farm, all very exciting!
The second card is for a girl who is also graduating. I used this colour combo again and I have to say that this one turned out much better. Hope you like it as much as I do.
Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Bright happy birthday

Happy Tuesday! A bright card today, very bright, I think, LOL!
The picture isn't the greatest, it does look better IRL, I have tried a couple of times, inside, outside, in the photo tent, out the phototent and then I gave up.
The sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps, from the set birthday celebration and the flower from SU, both way blossoms.
Hope you day is as bright as this card, take care, Anja

Simple get well soon

Hope your day is going well, I had an early dentist appointment for a root canal..............So little fun for so much money, LOL! And I missed the soccer game for the World cup, Holland against Denmark, the dentist kept me updated, that was funny and Holland won!!
I have a simple card to share today, the punched rectangle is made with punches from MS, the stamps are from Clear Dollar Stamps and the sentiment, have no clue from who it is.
When I cut out my rectangle with the Nesties, I kept it in the die when I stamped, because I like the white border around it.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

SC284, belated birthday

This is for a friend.........and I forgot her birthday! I don't even have an excuse.........so I made her this card and I hope she'll forgive me.
I have followed the sketch at Splitcoast SC 284. The border across the bottom is made by a friend from Holland, she is very good at tatting and she was so kind to send me some samples.
I run it through my stickermaker to get it on the card. The stamps are all from Clear Dollar Stamps, Bitty Botanicals and Birthday Celebrations.
Did you notice...no stickles on this card!! Can't believe I didn't use them, LOL!
A border punch from MS was used on the top, a CB embossing border for the white one, Nestabilities, some silver embellishments from my collection, and a tag punch.
We are going to Ilderton, our town, to celebrate the successes from Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue, you know, those awesome, Olympic gold, skaters from Ilderton!! And world champions!!
Have a great day, thanks for looking, Anja

Clear Dollar Stamps Cards

Today I have 2 cards to share with you, both made with stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps, you know how much I love them! They are having a Design team call, and I am really excited to try out. There is a sketch to follow, asking to show them your bright side and to use one type of embellishment. Check for details on their blog.

The first card is made with the set Loving Ladybugs, watercoloured with Tombo's and matched up with dp from DCWV citrus stack. The heart punch from Martha Stewart was used for the border. Nesties cut out and the bottom layer is embossed with the big dots from CB. After I had used the ribbon I was really tempted to put some rhinestones on there.....but that's another embellishment........so I stamped little hearts, from a set called Sassy Scallops and put some Stickles on there, BLING!

The second card is made with the sets Every Encouragements, Corvette 1968, and the background on the green is first stamped with a stamp from the set Cookie Creations. The dp is again from DCWV citrus stack. The cool corvette is cut out and popped up, border punches from Martha Stewart and EK.

Hope you like my bright side!! Have a great day, Anja

Pure elegance

When I saw Vicki's card I had to case her, go see her blog, she does beautiful work! Click on HERE.
I did change some little things, I love how elegant this card is. It's for a bridal shower and on the inside I made a little envelope for the gift card.
From Spellbinders I have used the Renaissance hearts, Kaleidoscoop, Pinking circles and scalloped hearts. For the background I used the new bigger dots from Cuttlebug, the size is 5x7 and it's already a favourite for me.
The little heart and the next layer are popped up.
Have a great night and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Sponged sympathy with Hero arts

Another sympathy card, this time I have used this grass background stamps from Hero arts. I stamped it on glossy card stock and sponged on some light and darker green. The sentiment is from Clear Dollar stamps and again a border punch from MS.
This is a really simple card to make and I like how it turned out.
Let's hope I won't need it anytime soon, have a great day, Anja

Sympathy card

No sympathy cards left in my box, so I decided to make a few.
Actually my cards are not in a box anymore, I was so lucky to get a spinner rack on wheels from a store that was closing. So now my cards are in plastic covers on a "professional" rack.
Now about the card. The stamps are from a set from Clear Dollar stamps, it's called Easter blessings. I have stamped the flowers on barely banana and have coloured them with prismacolour pencils, then I put it through the CB. The borderpunch is from EK, ribbon and dots from my stash. On the inside is a nice sentiment also from CDS but I didn't make a picture of that.
Hope your day is going well, take care, Anja

Just Rite best wishes

Playing with Just Rite, I picked this dp first, it's from DCWV and then made the card around it. At first I didn't like my colouring, I have used prismacolour pencils and Gamsol, but I kept going and I am happy with the card.
A MS punch along the sides, matching the flowers and some Nestabilities.
Oh, and did I mention stickles, LOL!
Have a great day, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Helicopter ride!

Every week or so a helicopter flies over to check the pipeline that goes through part of our land. They fly pretty low and 2 years ago my husband talked to the company at the farm show and they said that sometimes they take up people.........so he said he would call us sometime......And that's what happened this morning, I got a call from the pilot and he said that he would like to take us up today.......and what the nearest airport was.....
After some talking he said he would pick us up at home, land in the pasture beside the house.
There was room for 3 people, mmmm, there is 5 of us at home....since my dh is really afraid of heights, we were down to 4.......... But when the pilot came, he said it was no problem to make 2 trips, soooooooooooo nice!!
It was really cool and even my husband enjoyed it, he said it wasn't scary at all.
I couldn't stop smiling and all my men did too............it was fun, cool, amazing, special, such a nice surprise!!
Did I ask for a boring week last week? This week certainly wasn't.
Have a great weekend, Anja

Birthday Bash, CIC 14

I am having a lot of fun with MS lattice border punch, I had it for a while but I like using it this way!! For this card I did use it on the sides, I picked up another embossing folder from Crafts Too and used it for the background. The flower is from Clear Dollar Stamps, coloured with prismacolour pencils and Gamsol, cut out, and then I poured Crystal Effects on it, then you have to wait..........it takes a while to dry. The rest is pretty basic, some ribbon out of my bin, some silver accents and bling.
This card is for the monthly challenge for Clear Dollar Stamps, you can check it out HERE.
It's all about birthday cards!! If you have a change to play, it's lots of fun!
Thanks for stopping by today, I am gonna do some baking and then I plan to make another card or maybe 2, take care, Anja

An old favourite!

I needed a best wishes card for this morning......so I did not have a lot of time, I pulled out an old favourite and made this card. The stamps are from SU, Art of Life, I think is the name. The second layer of the Nestabilities I did cut out with my craft knife and I didn't even cut myself, LOL! Sometimes the next die is just too big and you want something smaller. I sponged some ink on it and added the MS butterfly with bling, and stickled the flowers a bit. A Sizzix embossing folder was used for the background., the rest is pretty basic.
I should just make some cards with no sentiment so that when you need something specific you can do so then, ahhh, so many ideas, not enough time.....
Have a great day, thanks for stopping by, Anja
