A Christmas card for January!

Surprise, a Christmas card in January! I am planning to start early this year, LOL!
It's done with Just Rite stamps and the square with MS punches.
This is the last day of January and so far I have posted a card every day this month! I am not sure I can keep this up but I will try.

Clearly Inspired Challenge 6

Between the new releases for the month of February, there is a new Clearly Inspired Challenge over at http://www.clearlyistamp.typepad.com/

It's a colour challenge this time, red, black, white and you can add pink.

Perfect oppertunity to make a Valentine's card.

Here is mine, I did something I haven't done for a while, I have stamped on the ribbon, so cool.

The brads are from my big full brad container. The stamps are from a retired set from CDS

it's called Simply Valentine's and of course I had to use my Spellbinders, the scalloped hearts and the other decorative swirl, sorry, don't know the name. The border punch is from EK.

At first it didn't come together but then I got a new blast of creativity (read a nice chat with a friend) and I was able to finish this card.

Birthday boy card with Clear Dollar Stamps

A birthday card for my son's friend, all stamps used are from Clear Dollar Stamps.
Cool ride, Glory days and Flying by are the names of the sets.
After I took the picture I did fix the ends of the ribbon, as they are very uneven! I bet the birthday boy could care less, LOL!
The big plane is watercoloured with Tombo's, cut out and popped up.
I resisted the urge to put some stickles on it.....and maybe the ribbon is already to much for a boy, oh well, it's done.

Just Rite birthday

No pink in this card, it's hard to stay away from any shade of pink but I did it.
This colour combo is totally different and if it wasn't for the dp I don't think I would have put those colours together. I had fun playing with flower punches and dies since I didn't have anything to match in my flower bag. I am patiently....well not really, waiting for a package in the mail to make flowers.....I will show it when I get it.
The stamps are from Just Rite and the shapes are all kind of Nestabilities.

More Penny Black

I seem to be a roll this month, a card every day, and today is no exception.
It's another image I coloured on Monday afternoon, and I still have a few more, turned into this card. The flowers are from the Dollar store, I did put another centre in them, instead of bright yellow it's some teal bling.
The rest is pretty basic, maybe I should have put some "water" on the floor....oh well, this is one tidy cat! Nobody in my house can seem to take a bath without flooding the whole bathroom, LOL!

Pink and green again....

Another pink and green card.....don't worry I am almost out of the bright pink!
This is a Penny Black stamp, watercoloured with Tombo's and stickled up. Yesterday afternoon I spent the afternoon at the kitchen table with a friend colouring away.....some coffee, some chocolate....
The frog on the left is popped up because I messed up my colouring. The flowers are from a bag a found, bought a long time ago.
The sentiment is from CTMH.
I will try to use some other colours soon. But who doesn't like pink, LOL!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #53

Sweet Monday Morning delay!! I love it when the phone rings on Monday morning at 6 AM......and then there is a 2 hour school delay. Oh, turn off your alarm, and snuggle deep in to the blankets!
That's about the only phone call I like to get when I am still in bed, way to early!!!

I had this dp and matched the colours on the stamped image with it. I don't think I have ever used this mint green paper in a card, I had to dig into my old stack of Creative Memories paper to find it. The little silver accents are called spacers, I think, they are used for beading and I put a little bling in the centre.

Kissing under the umbrella...

That's my guess...that they are kissing under the umbrella, a cute young couple! This is a card for an engagement. It's the first time I have used this stamp, I had the paper picked out before I started colouring, yep watercolouring with Tombo's. The skirt from the girl is paperpieced, is that even a word?

The sentiment is from Verve, love the size and variety of those.

Some flowers from Nestabilities, MS borderpunch and bling from the Dollar Store.

I am not really sure about this card....but since I have nothing else new to show today I decided to put it on here. Hopefully I will have some stamping time today, it's a dreary day, we are supposed to get rain, lots of it.

I was in the mood to make a flower card! And that's what I did, pink, flowers, stickles and bling....they always work for me!

Lighthouse birthday card

Another card with a set from Clear Dollar Stamps, do you love them already too?
This set is called "Sheltering Lights", the images are simple with a few nice sentiments, though the sentiment used here is from CTMH. The nice thing is that they are so easy to colour!
I used my watercolour paper and Tombo's and I am pretty pleased how it turned out!
Overall I think it makes a nice masculine birthday card.

Happy Anniversary!

Second post today, this one if for my husband, today is our 21st anniversary and I made him a card to tell him........... well, that's tmi! I have followed the sketch for this challenge over at Clear Dollar Stamps, CIC 5,

I had an idea in my head, wanted to use "manly" colours but also some hearts.....

The stamps are from CDS, a set called "sweet friends".

It took me a while but it's done, it's like marriage, sometimes it's hard work,but lots of fun, LOL!

High hopes baby boy!

On Monday morning when I went to stamp with friends I took a few stamps, my watercolour paper and my Tombo's and some of the dp I was hoping to use. I didn't get much done....but I did colour this cute elephant from High Hopes. Later on I stickled him up and made this card.
I thought my dh will probably tell me that elephants don't come in this colour but I was wrong, he really liked it LOL!
I am just happy with my colouring, some of you may know that it took me forever to learn this but I am glad I kept on trying.

Spring, anyone?

Some people are so ready for spring, some go find some sunshine away from home, some just sit it out.....I guess I belong to this last group.

But it's spring in my craft room! This card makes me think of spring, the flowers and the butterfly are from my collection, the dp is a scrap out of the bin, the ribbon probably from Michaels, it actually has white dots on the other side but I decided to use the plain side.

More filigree

A quick post today as I want to go to a friends house and do a little stamping, here is another card with this elegant stamp. Very similar to the first one I made. This one has no sentiment so it could be used for different things. in my box it goes.

Simple baby boy

Just a simple baby boy card with almost no stamping other than the sentiment from Verve and the inside. The feet are dry embossed and I put some stickles on the toes. A piece of dp out of my scrap bin, some ribbon, bling, and Nestabilities, very easy and quick.

Elegant filigree

Charming, isn't it? This card is made with the retiring set Elegant Filigree from Clear Dollar Stamps, and I think it's just beautiful. It stamps very nice and crisp and I had to use some of the charms I found at the Dollar Store. Very easy and quick card to make.

Masculine birthday card

Another card with some of my new stamps from....Clear Dollar Stamps, yes, it was a big envelope full with stamps!
When I saw this set I fell in love right away, I know, it doesn't take much to get me to buy some stamps but this set is just perfect for masculine cards!
Today is another Friday for a challenge over at Clear Dollar Stamps so I am off to check that out and hopefully will have some time to stamp later today. After the groceries, the laundry, the cleaning...

Baby girl card

As you may have noticed I had some serious shopping time this month, so I have made a resolution not to buy anything more this.....month. Thankfully the month is almost over!
The scalloped hearts were hard to get but I got them at Sheila's, www.scrappingreatdeals.com
The bib stamp is actually from the Dollar Store, the sentiment from Verve, dp from Hobby Lobby,the ribbon from Joan's, a Martha Stewart borderpunch and a little flower punch from the Dollar bin at Michaels.
It's an awful little thing to use, very hard, but I like the little size.
I think I have named enough stores in one post!

Just Chillin'

Here is another card with some of my new stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps,the set is called Just Chillin', this cute bear was so much fun to watercolour with my Tombo's. The set comes with sentiments for Christmas but also some for winter and some for friendship.

The dp is from BoBunny and it's shiny, very pretty! There is fake snow on the bottom and when it was still wet I put some glitter on it and of course some red stickles, can't make a card without stickles, LOL!

Yesterday my order came in, made me a happy stamper. I was waiting very patiently for them,LOL!

I am happy with this card, it certainly didn't bug me to make it, too much fun, LOL!

A different challenge.....

I got this stamped image, already coloured and matted in black from a friend....she said she didn't have the right colours to finish it......so she gave it to me and "told" me to finish it, LOL!
Oh, and the ribbon was wrapped around it.

So, I looked at it, didn't see anything wrong with it, went trough my stash of scrap paper, and voila, here is my card, sorry, the card!

I have been asked to make a few thank you cards for somebody, so that's what I have been doing. Trying hard to use my dp, both of them have flowers, surprise!

Today I am gonna try to organize a little more of my craft space........but maybe I will end up making cards because of all the stuff you find when you start cleaning up and organizing, LOL!

Penny Black birthday card

Wow, I have posted a card every day so far this year!! Aren't you impressed?
I am pretty sure I won't be able to keep that up, life usually gets in the way a bit but that's okay!
I am trying to use more of my huge stack of dp, although this is a new piece for me, I see those beautiful papers and then I can't seem to corporate them in my cards so the stack is growing....
On this card I have used a square charm, not the right name probably, also one of my new things, the Penny Black image is watercoloured with Tombo's and the sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps. And some stickles on the flower and the hedgehog. I had to look it up in the dictionary because I didn't know the English name for this cute little animal.

Clean and simple card

According to my very supporting DH,this card is so so, it's okay, I can handle it, he thinks you never see a car in this colour in real life. He is most likely right, but it's a card for a little boy, and the colours work together, and little boys have big imagination, he should know that, we have 4 boys!
We woke up to a couple of centimeters more snow and now everything looks fresh again, very pretty! I am glad we didn't get the freezing rain they were talking about.

I have inked up an favourite from SU, Garden Silhouette and the sentiment is from Verve Stamps. I inked the stamp in celery and then rolled it into a artichoke inkpad.
And of course I have used my Nestabilities and CB folders, did we ever make cards before those products? LOL!

Just Rite thank you card

It has finally stopped snowing, the kids are back in school today, they started with a 2hour delay so we didn't have to get up too early this morning. I wanted to show you another picture of the beautiful snow, it makes things look so nice.

My card for today is a thank you card for a friend, made with Just Rite stamps.

It took me a while and I am not completeley sure, I kept thinking something was missing....so I put it away, worked on it again and now it's done, it's in the mail and hopefully she likes it.

Snow, snow, let it snow and a babycard

It's been snowing and snowing and it doesn't seem to stop. It's pretty! So there is time to play in my craft room since we don't seem to be going anywhere......

So not like me at all!

A girl with an ice cream from C.C. design, watercoloured with my Tombo's and some stickles.
There are so many different things you can do with stamping and it's fun to try something outside your "own box", that's what I did here, try something different.
I am not sure how much I like it....it's not really me, I don't even like icecream LOL!
Oh well, I am sure that it will be a good card for somebody, for now it will sit in my box.

CIC4 , The first challenge in the new year!

Happy New Year to all of you!!!
I have spent the morning making some cards, what a perfect way to start a new year!
This one is for CIC4, check it out here www.clearlyistamp.typepad.com, and the challenge is to use your brads. Now we all have lots of those LOL!
I also wanted to submit it for the MOJO challenge, www.mojomonday.blogspot.com but I just couldn't put another embellishment on the right corner, with the way this flower was stamped.
Where we used to live in Holland there were lots of greenhouses full with these flowers, for almost nothing you could buy them so fresh that after 4 weeks, even when they were not all dead, you were happy to throw them out.
