Flower cards!

Recently I made a few flower cards with the Rubbernecker/Art impressions stamps...it was my Mom's birthday and I gave them to her. They are fun to make and not too hard, I have used distress inks, my spritzer, embossing powder and markers.....pretty basic. Hope you like them, Anja

Playing with oil pastels......

I got a box of oil pastels, it looked so good, all the colours in a shiny new box and they were really cheap....I could not resist. Had to figure out how to use them but that's where You tube and Pinterest are for. And let me tell you, they are fun! I added a stencil with distress ink and some gold glimmermist, some dies and sentiment. Love the rich colours, hope you like it too! Have a great day, Anja

IThe challenge this week over at the Crazies is an animal on your card, but not a bunny or a bear. I made this card with the help of my Silhouette, sentiment from CTMH, clouds from memory box, border from Martha Stewart. A son of friends is starting up to millk goats so I made him a card!

C4C248, a 3D card!

Sharing a 3D card with you today for the challenge over at the CRAZIES. The inside from my card is from Sizzix and I used some punches from Martha Stewart and Marvy to make the flowers, the butterflies and some greenery. Sentiment is unknown, I have had for such a long time. For the front of the card I cut a stencil with the Silhouette and sponged on Tim Holtz peeled paint ink. This sentiment if from Close to my Heart.

It's the third week of the month and that means we are having a sketch challenge over at the CRAZIES.

C4C243, red, white and blue

This card should have been posted on Saturday and I apologize for the delay, the card was done in time but I was not around to post it. Our oldest son had an accident Friday night...long story, he is gonna be okay, still in the hospital and in need of more surgery....

Anyhow, on to the card. A colour challenge this time over at the CRAZIES. Love the colours, for me it reminds me of the Dutch flag so I am gonna send this card to my Dutch girlfriend who is in Holland right now visiting family so I know she wont be around to look here. The die is from Memory Box, sentiment from IO ( I think) and I used a variety of embossing folders to do make the sunburst. Hope you like it! Till next time, Anja

C4C242, Summer time!

It is Saturday, time for another challenge over at the Crazies, and I am late, not a little late, very very late! 

Yesterday I went down to my craft room to make a card....long story or should I say long time cleaning up....

I ended up with a clean craft room and no card, by then I was too tired and went to bed.

So this morning I made this card, I saw a similar card this week ( dont know who made it) and I used that for my inspiration.

C4C240, stencil it!

Stencil it! Stencils are super in and the challenge this week at the Crazies is to use a stencil in any way you like.

I like to cut my own stencils with the silhouette and freezer paper. This one I sprayed with a colorbloom mist , then i cut out the circle and put my stamped image behind it. The flower is from Penny Black, butterfly from Cheery Lynn, sentiment from Paoersmooches.

C4C 238, school is out! Not yet for us!

School is out! But not for us yet, lol, the boys still have 2 weeks of school and then exams....

So for the challenge over at the CRAZIES today, the theme is school is out what are you gonna enjoy?

I gave it my own twist, crazy, isn't it? I am gonna enjoy the flowers this summer, after a long winter, it is so nice to finally have the warm weather! My farmer is happily working the fields, flowers and trees are blooming!

This flower is from Inkadinkadoo, an oldie but favourite. Coloured with Prisma's. Hope you like it!

C4C237, a colour challenge!

Orange, turqoise and kraft, those are the colours for the challenge this week over at the CRAZIES,

I had to think a little before I came up with this card, I started by cutting out the orange flowers and the rest followed. As you can tell, I love my flowers!

Sentiment is from Stampendous and a new embossing folder, used on the blue.

It is sketch time this week over at the Crazies! This flower was lying around so I decided to use it for today. Stamp is from Just Rite, coloured with inktense pencils. I did not put a sentiment on , this way I can do that at the time I need to send it.

C4C235, let's play BINGO!

Bingo time over at the CRAZIES!! Come over and play with us! I choose the bottom row, embossing-bling-sentiment. 

If I could only have one embossing folder....it would be the dots, it's the one I like to use most of the time.

The label is a new Spellbinders, reflective moments, and the flower is Impression Obsession, sentiment from Just Rite. Some bling out of my stash and so is the ribbon.

The flower is cut out with Bristol Smooth paper and then I coloured it with Derwent Inktense pencils.

C4C234, April showers bring May flowers!

Flowers on your card......love this challenge! It's Saturday and that means the Crazies have another challenge for you, flowers on your card this time. I used a stencil with some distress ink and then I sprayed over it with Pearl glimmermist, hard to see in the picture. Sentiment from Just Rite, flower is done with a Marvy punch and I used some gelatos and glimmermist on it. Love this effect.

Masculine Birthday card!

I have played with my Derwent inktense pencils a bit, it took me a while but I am getting comfortable with them now. This image is from Art Impressions, I cut it down quite a bit, and I cut around the lighthouse.

Then I put it on piece of watercolour paper on which I had made a sky with Tim Holtz distress inks and a brush. The two birds are done with a permanent marker. I was tempted to add some glitter....but I didn't, I don't think men really care about glitter, lol!

C4C 232, sketch challenge!

My card is bright!! I pulled out some Gelatos and made a background on the oval, the flowers are made with punches and I put some Gelatos on it, I smeared it out with my finger. When it was all done, I sprayed on some Pearl glimmermist. A very different card for me, I really like the Gelatos, aren't you surprised....it is not hard to get me to like any product, lol!

A simple card for a girl from church. The stamp is inked up with 2 markers, I spritzed some Tim Holtz dusty concord marker on the background, butterfly from Cheery Lynn and sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps.

When cleaning up in my craft room I came across this flower stamp, it might be from Unity but I could be wrong, I forgot all about this stamp, might be a new favourite, lol!

Get your "egg" on, C4C 231!

Get your "egg" on, that's the theme over at the CRAZIES today! Well, I put a big egg on, can't miss it, lol!

It is cut with the Silhouette, sorry I did not have any egg stamps or dies, paired up with the Martha Stewart grass border and the sky is done with a piece of ripped paper towel and Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink. Sentiment from Clear Dollar stamps, twine from my stash.

A "crazy" challenge today.....veggies on your card, lol! That's it for the CRAZIES this week, a hard one for me, since I don't have any stamps with veggies on it...the Silhouette helped me out again!!! While searching for images, and buying a few along the way, I came across this journaling card, and then I knewwhat I wanted to do...I added the grass borders and some bunnies, some twine and voila!!! C4C 229, an easel card!

A card with a trick, that's the challenge this week over at the CRAZIES.  To my Silhouette I went, how I enjoy that machine! An easel card is what I made and the flower is also from the Silhouette, sentiment from Just Rite, butterfly from Martha Stewart. I kept the card pretty simple for the rest, I embossed the background with the dots embossing folder and sponged on a little bit of blue and of course I added some Viva pearls, silver this time. The 2 little pearls on the front make sure the card stands up.

A sketch and add some green, that's the challenge this week over at the CRAZIES. Since I was playing with the Gelli plate this week, I made a background with a stencil and some green paint, and used this on my card.

Time for another CRAZY challenge, this time we want to see cards/projects with the sentiment as the focal point. Somewhere in my craftroom I found my Mojo back, pfff. it took me a while and some serious shopping, lol! For my card I have used a sentiment from Just Rite, Grand birthday, background from Bo Bunny , wall to wall texture,stars unknown and the frilly stuff and labels are from the Silhouette.

Vintage photo ink to distress and some twine. Of course I had to put some random Viva black dots on...

C4C225, a colour challenge!

Good morning, another challenge over at the Crazies!!!! I think I missed "the point" this week about the colour orchid.....You can read about the challenge HERE.

I have a list somewhere in my craftroom where I quickly write down the challenges ahead of time, for this one its Orchid with grey and white.......well, what I think is orchid might be too purple and that for a girl who loves pink...oh well, thankfully, there is no challenge police, lol!!

This is a Memory box die done with some metallic paper, a Martha Stewart borderpunch and sentiment from Paper Smooches. Hope you still like it!

Big bird with the Silhouette

O la la, this picture turned out very dark....or at least the bird did, it honestly looks better IRL. The bird with frame is from the silhouette...love that machine, sentiment from Tim Holtz, some distress inks and a leafy stamp out of my stash. 

This card made it's way to Holland for my dad who had a knee replacement, hopefully he will recover quickly.

With sympathy

It's been a while.....what can I say, life is just getting in the way and now I lost my mojo....the good thing is that I have cleaned and organized in my craft room, will see how long it lasts, lol!
It's not a lack of supplies, so many cool things I could do but not much happens, here is a sympathy card I made, the frame is from the Silhouette, stamps from Just Rite.

C4C 223, it's sketch time!

Welcome to another challenge from the Crazies. It's the third Saturday of the month which means it is sketch time. I choose to make a masculine card. Designer paper from Teresa Collins, world traveler.

Working on a new computer and I seem to delete stuff that I am not supposed to delete......Let's hope all goes well with this post.

Spring colours on a cold, snowy day!

Happy Friday! Long time, no see.....but I am back. My husband and I just came home from a trip to warm and sunny Mexico.......back to the cold and snow. Let's get sketchy, C4C219

Welcome to another challenge over at the CRAZIES .

This week it is sketch time, I changed it up a little bit, putting my circle on top of the strip, I hope that's okay, lol! I had a lot of fun with this card, can you believe it all started with white paper? I got my alcohol inks out to make the strip on the left and the butterfly. I put some embossing paste over top with a stencil, the paste is white but it picked up the silver from the alcohol inks, pretty cool! Embossing folder out of my stash , inked with some Tim Holtz tumbled glass and sprayed with silver glimmer mist, nice and sparkly!! I also sprayed the circle, it is a Nestabilitie. The sentiment is from Just Rite, a cut a strip of white, used a corner punch on the end, inked and sprayed and voila, all done.

I wish you could see this card IRL, the picture doesn't show the sparkle and the details.......

C4C218, a skinny card!

 

A skinny card!! I wish I could post a picture of a skinny me....if it was only as easy and fun as making a card, it could happen, lol! This week the challenge from the Crazies is to make skinny card, size 3.5 x 5.5

I made a special envelope for it with my envelope board but it fits in a standard size. I started out with a white base and cut the front panel slighty smaller, embossed that with an embossing folder from Cuttlebug, Anna Griffins foulard folder, and then sponged on some Tim Holtz antique linen distress ink. The white oval is a die from Crafts too, the kraft oval underneath is not exactly in the middle...bummer..... The flowers are a die from Memory Box, bow from my stash and sentiment on a nestabilitie and from Stampin Up. Lastly I added some Ice white Viva pearls. The card is in the mail already for my sister, who I really miss!!!

A new challenge for the "Crazies", C4C217!

Welcome to the first challenge for 2014 with the Crazies!!! This time we have a photo for your inspiration, you can check it out HERE. I went with the colours, black, white and silver. I combined it with some hearts ( the embossed background) and flowers (Poppy die from Memory Box), great way to send some wishes for the New Year, did not wanna do snowflakes since we got a lot of snow already, lol! You see the reflection of my hand from taking the picture in the silver paper, don't know how to fix that.
