          A quick card I made with some leftovers. I have once again cleaned up my craft room, organized a bit more and I am really hoping to keep it this way, lol!

Elegant birthday card

  Oops, the colours on this photo are not the best, not sure what happened. The blue is totally off, oh well, I have been making a lot of cards, enjoying myself in my craft room. Spring colours!

    If only Spring was here....if I have to believe the weather man today, some nasty stuff is coming this way....Anyhow, I made a background with Glimmermists and followed the MOJO sketch from last week, forgot to upload the card but that's okay.

Playing with mixed media!

          Mixed media is hot!! I see beautiful pieces of mixed media from other people, looked around in my craft room and pulled out some glimmermists, dylusions, prismacolour pencils, Tim Holtz inks, a stencil, oh and I bought some more stuff, lol.

Anyhow, I started with a piece of watercolour paper, put my stencil on it and with a light coloured prismacolour pencil put on the dots, then I sprayed.....some mists, some inks, I can`t remember, anyhow, after it was dry....I ended up with this. Cut out the die from Memory Box, sentiment from Hero Arts and the card was done. Hope you like it, I sure had fun making it!

Just having fun!

   It's not that I haven't made any cards.....good intentions of sharing them...but it took a while. Here a card with  all the things that I truly love, pink, green, flowers and a butterfly. Sentiment is from Just Rite, the leaf is a new die from Paper Smooches, dp from My Minds Eye.

Derwent Inktense pencils...., MOJO 283

  It's been a while... a lot of unfinished projects are on my desk and my hubby and I went on a wonderful trip to Curacao. At the store we got those pencils, Derwent Inktense and oh yeah, you need them. This is how I look at it, it's like with your kids, you love them all, can't miss one of them but they are all different, lol!!! See, all justified!!! Well, those pencils are different, very intense, real ink, you use water but once it's dry, it's permanent. When I first played with them, I did not let the layers dry, that was a mistake, the next time, I did, used my heat gun when I couldn't wait 2 minutes, lol.

They are so easy to work with and give a beautiful result. Sketch from this card is the new MOJO sketch. Stamp from Paper Smoothes and the little sentiment...no clue, sorry.

Today at Wonderful Wednesday, Sheila and Lori are showing us all about those pencils and you can play with them, come on over at 1 PM and bring a donation for the foodbank if you can.

MOJO279, thinking of you!

  Finally I got a change to post my card for the MOJO challenge this week, you can find it HERE. With an hour left....pfff. I had in my mind what I wanted to make and I worked on it different times, but every time I got interrupted, not fair, LOL!

Anyhow, I did it, love playing with the MOJO sketches!

Cleaning up.....

   Since a friend is coming over to come and stamp some time this week, I have to clean up my stamp room or at least the floor and make some sort of space, lol! The good thing is, you find lots of things you forgot you had....scraps and leftovers and some new things!!

So this card is created with some leftovers from a Wonderful Wednesday a long time ago, I used a sentiment from Paper smooches and the new violet die from Memory Box and of course some Viva pearls.

Thinking of you

      You should see the mess in my craft room, my workspace is getting smaller and smaller, I am even working on top of other things, lol. No wonder I can't find anything, so I just used the same designer paper as before, and made a similar card. The blue of the flower and the ribbon look so different in the picture, in real life it a way better match. The sentiment is from Just Rite.

Clean and Simple

MOJO 277, you are too kind!

  A while ago, I got a set of sentiment from SU at the garage sale...I needed them, that's what I thought, well they haven't been used once but today was the day,LOL!

The designer paper is from Authentic, rolled rose from MFT, border cut with a die from MFT and some pearls, stickles, ribbon and no clue who made the stamp with the little flowers, I have had it forever.

A card and a little box

    Today is our 24th anniversary! And I am sharing the card I made for my husband with you. Not really a guy card but it says it all! No stamping on it, as you can see, I used my cricut , embossing folder, MS borderpunch  and the snowflake strip die from Tim Holtz, designer paper is form Crate. I also cut out a little box with the cricut and put some heart shaped chocolates in it.  I haven't done much for 3 D projects but I am thinking that might change.   I have tried to post this card before and for one or another reason the post did not show. MOJO 276, masculine birthday!

  A new MOJO sketch this Monday, and since I need a masculine birthday card, I followed the sketch and made this card, also using some Verve stamps, older ones but a lovely set. You can check out the challenge HERE. Designer paper is from a 6x6 Authentique paper  pad (Loyal), I have so many of those and I love that when you grab one, all the papers go together, and the size is perfect for cards. For the borders I have used a MS and EK borderpunch, the rectangle is a Spellbinders die and some copper Viva pearls to finish it off. MOJO 275, happy anniversary!

  Two cards in one day, wow, that hasn't happened in a long time! Every week I look up the Mojo Monday blog and I wanna play.....and then life happens. But this week I did make a card for the challenge, right before the deadline. I used paper from a 6x6 Kaiser Craft paper paperpad, sentiment from Just Rite, MFT rolled flower die, Martha Stewart borderpunch, MS fern punch, some gold Viva pear and I was gonna use a bow but decided not too. I was also thinking about inking the edges but choose to go for the clean look. Have a great evening, Anja

Clean and simple Valentine's card

    I had some crafty time this weekend so I played a few challenges, this card is for the Clean and Simple blog, you can find it HERE. Just playing.....

   Two similar cards today, I have been playing with the new cartridge. The flowers and the blue pieces are from the cricut. Not sure if the style of the sentiment on the right card is the best fit. I couldn't find what I was looking for and then came across this one. I am working to fill my box with cards so that I am ready instead of struggling to make a card last minute, great plan, I think lol! My other plan is to use what I have and believe me, I won't be short of anything anytime soon.Have a great day, Anja

Trying out something new................

  I got the CTMH cartridge Artiste, so many cool things to cut out....o la la, just playing with it and cutting some things out of scrap paper...this one sample made it into a card. Always good to have a baby card in your stash! Have a great day, Anja

Happy New Year!

It's been a while since I have posted anything here, I did make a few cards but I didn't get around posting them. Real life got in the way of my crafting.

This afternoon I am gonna make "oliebollen" a very Dutch New Years Eve treat, like a dougnut.

They are yummy and hopefully delicious, and not healthy at all!

We don't have big plans for tonight, we are staying home and enjoy ourselves.

The other thing I did this month is organizing all my dies in a Martha Stewart binder, it is sad how many I haven't used yet but I hope to do so soon, for the 2 cards here I used the Memory Box deer and window die, and I tried the technique about making the snowy hills with stick it notes.

For a friend

  This card is made with a new small die from Spellbinders, background with distress inks and butterfly from Cheery Lynn. Goosebumps were sprayed on the butterfly, really like that effect. The card is already sent to a friend going through a rough time.

Masculine Birthday!

 My calendar says December.....oh my, I haven't posted in ages....but I did make some cards, just didn't get around to posting them. I have also been on a trip to Holland to see my family, lots of fun! Of course I had to buy some Marianne dies, and while I was going through my dies, I came across this one which I haven't used much, Ankie made a great card with it too so I started playing, and here is the result. Romantique with Couture Creations

 Happy Friday! Today I am sharing a romantic, elegant, femine card with you, I just had to make one of those after seeing the new collections for embossing folders from Couture Creations. I simply embossed it on white, put a bit of pink on with twinkling H2O, sparkled the rest up with stickles (diamond), added a strip of embossed dots to hide a line that wasn't supposed to be there.  added a bow, a sentiment from Just Rite and this is the result.

Elegant birthday card!

 Finally I had some time to sit and play with some new goodies, love the Just Rite stamps, combined with some rolled mini MFT roses, MS branch , Marianne leave, pearls, ribbon, different borderpunches and beautiful Indie dp. With the 6 x 6 paperpacks it is so easy to make a card, all those coordinating papers all picked out for you.

Fall card for Toonie Tuesday!

   Happy Friday! I haven't posted here forever, because I still have problems with the new blogger, I really should spend some time and figure it out, it is probably easy, lol. 

The leaves are falling fast here in my part of the world and the colours are amazing, it inspired me to do another Fall card for Toonie Tuesday, October 23 at 2 PM. Come and join us if you can, please bring a basic tool kit and a toonie. The little card in front is to cover up a smudge a made....see, I am such a messy crafter, my workspace get smaller and smaller and then things like this happen, lol!

Inspired by Judy

The first thing I did this morning was go to my craft room and make a card, forget about the mess in the house , the laundry and what not.....I had to make card, lol! The picture doesn't do this card justice, in real life the two pinks are a good match. My inspiration came from Judy Kennedy, she doesn't have a blog but her cards are on display at SGD, she is also a designer and every time her works blows me away! A sizzix embossing folder, sentiment from Just Rite, IO die, Memory Box die, Cheery Lynn leave, MS leaves, pearls and goosebumps, a long list of supplies and so much fun.

Craft a Scene.....Trees!

Good morning! A new month is here, so it's time for a new challenge over at CRAFT A SCENE! This month our challenge is trees, please come and play with us and show us some trees! Before you know it, the beautiful fall colours will come.

For my card I started with a sponged background. First I made the hills at the bottom, using Memento black and london fog. The sun is sponged on with Tim Holtz squeezed lemonade and I have tried to put some of that colour around it. The sky is done with Tim Holtz weathered wood, going lighter towards the hills. In the right bottom corner I have added some scrubs, it is done with the top of a Stampscapes stamp, maple trio small, with pine needles and some black ink. The big tree is also a Stampscapes stamp, SC 226 E twisting oak and the bird is SC 162 A, solo duck. Borderpunch from Martha Stewart and a sentiment from Hero arts.
