Purrfect day!

After a couple of "purrfect" days, scrapbooking that is, I am back in to cardmaking!
Last week was a busy week, getting ready for a weekend of scrapbooking, teaching a class at SGD, a date with my husband........lots of fun and laughter!
Today I made this card for a special young lady who has a birthday coming up.
I have used a stampset from Penny Black and coloured it with my Prismacolour pencils, and I have to say, I like my colouring. It's most likely not perfect but those pencils are so nice to work with.
Hope she likes it too, have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

My other pink card

This was the first card I made for CDSWCC think pink, but after it was done I realized that I didn't really follow the "instructions" so...........
The flowers are coloured with Prisma colour pencils, they work really nice, I had tried a few before and last week I bought the whole set, yes, all 120 of them! I feel like a little girl back in Kindergarden with a new box of pencils LOL!
Hope this card will brighten your day since it is a rainy, dark day here where we live!
Take care and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Baby boy card

Hope you like my baby boy card! I really like it myself, so you know!
Again, it's a pretty basic card. The cute little bear is from the Dollar Store and the sentiment, welcome little one, is from Verve stamps.
Some ribbon, silver stickles, silver dots, voila, another card.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

CDSWCC40. think pink!

Blogger isn't doing as I want to!! Grrr, very frustrating, I have tried many times to get this picture right but it's not gonna happen. Sorry! Anyway, this card is for another weekly challenge from Clear Dollar Stamps, you can check it out here:
http://www.papercraftplanet.com:80/group/cleardollarstampsllcweekendcolorchallenge/forum/topic/show?id=2076575%3ATopic%3A705261 Visit and make a card too, if you like.
This is actually my third card, I will show the other ones later, the first 2 had green in them, and since that wasn't a colour for the challenge, I made another card.
It's pink and lots of pink in honour of Cancer Awareness Month!! What a great cause!!
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Babies and a quick thank you card!

A quick thank you card made with the rest of the dp I had used in the card from yesterday. The little gemstones were the finishing touch, I thought.

Hope you all got to enjoy some of the sunshine today, I just came home from a nice walk. You should be reading, a walk on a gravel road with lots of gravel...not so nice to walk on but the view was amazing, we have 3 baby lama's now and they were playing along the creek. And then the amazing fall colours, beautiful. Enjoy your day, Anja

A quick card!

This morning I made this quick card from some scraps on my table.
I always come back to this layout, it seems to work for me.
I have decorated the inside too but forget to take a picture, it has a verse an a strip of the dp along the border.
Have a great day, Anja

High Hopes sheep

A birthday card for my neighbour who loves her sheep and blue is her favourite colour.
So when I saw this cute sheep from High Hopes I thought about her. The flower is not exactly the colour I wanted it to be but I had to make it work. The rest is pretty basic.
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Finally another post.....

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!!!
I can't believe it's been a week with no stamping for me....
so I am very happy that today I had a chance to stamp. It's almost time to turn the oven on and start preparing our Thanksgiving meal, we do it today because tomorrow the beans might come of and boys have to go back to college....too busy. I have to admit that I don't really do a turkey, those things scare me, really they do, so thankfully M&M is there to help me out.
Now about my card, it's for another challenge from Clear Dollar Stamps, this week's host is Lisa and you can check it out here: http://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/cleardollarstampsllcweekendcolorchallenge/forum/topics/clear-dollar-stamps-weekend-22

I haven't used a lot of more mustard but it's there and for the silver you have to look at the embossing and the brads. The set used is called: Thankful for you, very fitting for this weekend.
The flowers are coloured with twinkling H2O's so they sparkle nice but it's hard to see in the picture.
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

CDSWCC39, what a pane.....

That's how I feel tonight, that it is for sure a pane to get older.....
I just wish I had a little more time to play in another Clear Dollar Stamps
Weekend Colour Challenge, you can check it out here:
http://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/cleardollarstampsllcweekendcolorchallenge/forum/topic/show?id=2076575%3ATopic%3A689499

This weekend we have our annual Fair and between the boys' involvement in 4H, my DH a director for the fair and the cold and rainy weather.....there is no stamping time and that on National Card Making Day! So tonight was my only chance to stamp, and since I am so tired my eyes are in need of a pair of reading glasses and they were upstairs.....
Enough complaining, we did have lots of fun today, and my card.... does look better IRL with all the stickles and that's all I have to say about it, LOL!
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Play time....

Today is a perfect day to stamp, don't worry I did clean up my room a little bit, but with the wind and the rain, it's just perfect stamping time.
I looked up some sketches I have collected and had a good time stamping with a friend who was visiting.
Not that I got a whole lot done but well, it was a fun time, and I have 2 cards to show for it. Have a great day, Anja

More simple flower cards......

My craft space is a mess, no really a huge mess and I should be cleaning it up since I can't find anything. But instead I have made these 2 cards, just simple flower cards, I can never get enough of those and now it's really time to stop and clean up.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

CDSWCC38, thank you card.

Another fun challenge from Clear Dollar Stamps, Cassie is hosting it this time, you can find all the info here: http://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/cleardollarstampsllcweekendcolorchallenge/forum/topics/clear-dollar-stamps-weekend-20
Yesterday when I looked up the challenge, I put some pieces of cardstock with those colours together and thought, wow, that's a nice combo. Sage shadow, apricot , close to cocoa, really rust and neutral. Making the card was a lot harder, but I did it. The flowers have crystal effects on them, hard to see in the picture.
I can't remember the last time I have used apricot and sage shadow is also a colour that I don't use a lot, so it's nice that those challenges let you do something out of your own box.
Check the challenge yourself and play along, it's fun!
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Easy cards

Two cards to share with you today, they are just simple layouts made from paper I had lying around and some images I had coloured before and were waiting to be put on a card.
It's nice to clean up some of those loose ends and use what you have collected in the past couple of months...
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

MOJO105, welcome baby

Mojo Monday 105, wow, an interesting sketch, I think.
It's nice to be in the cool basement and stamp, it's just ....really hot here.
After some time this is what I came up with, the patchwork elephant is from Clear Dollar Stamps, can you tell I got my order in? The sentiment from Stamping Up. The elephant is watercoloured with Tombo's, it took me so long to learn to do so but I am happy that I kept trying, it's a lot easier now.
Of course I also had to add some bling and stickles.
I kind of cheated because I did turn the image, hope that's okay.
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Sunday, September 20, 2009

Hello!

Hello, it's me again, my second card for today.
When I saw this set I A-door You from Clear Dollar Stamps, I knew that I wanted it (surprise LOL) and what I was gonna do with it.
Check out their website for more www.cleardollarstamp.com
So this is what I came up with, I have used my Art Impressions stamps with it. All done on watercolour paper and Tombo's and Stickles for the finishing touch.
Thanks for looking, Anja

Casing myself!

I was playing with the left overs on my desk and kind off cased myself,
the peony flower is watercoloured like the one on the other card and then I put glossy accents on it. After it was dry, I cut it out and put the card together. There is no sentiment on this one and it will go in my box.
The picture for the first card was made using my photo tent and the picture for this one I took in front of the window.....wow, I can't believe how much difference there is in colour since I know for sure the pieces of paper came from the same sheet.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

CDSWCC37, peony flower

Here is my card for the Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Colour Challenge, check it out here: http://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/cleardollarstampsllcweekendcolorchallenge/forum/topics/clear-dollar-stamps-weekend-19

I don't think I have ever put those colours together but it's starting to grow on me.

The flower is watercoloured with Tombo's and some stickles were added later. The rest is pretty basic.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

MOJO104

My second card for today is for MOJO104, you can check it out here, www.mojomonday.blogspot.com
There is lots of bling on it, but after all it's for a happy occasion.
Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Catching up!

It's been a busy couple of days here, lots of fun stuff but I was on the go all the time!
Today I had some time to catch up on stamping and my new
stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps arrived!! Yippee!
This is for sketch challenge 246 from Splitcoast.
It's a card for my nephew, and those cars are very nice for boys card, I think.
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

CDSWCC36 and MOJO103

Two challenges, one card. This card is for the Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge, you had to use red, yellow and black and the sketch I have used is for MOJO 103, http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com/.
You can find the CDS weekend color challenge on
This card is for my son, the one in college, yes, the one I really miss,
anybody wanna take the other 3?? LOL!
I talked to my son this week and he said he would love to jump on his four wheeler and go for a ride, there are a lot of nice trails up there, nothing about missing us but that's okay, so I thought I will sent him this card.
His four wheeler is actually yellow so perfect for the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your evening, Anja

Splitcoasts Sketch Challenge 245

It's been a while that I did a sketch challenge from Splitcoast but yesterday was the day. My pc didn't want to upload yesterday, I'll tell you that thing has a mind of his own sometimes.
I have used one of my favourite SU stamps, both way blossoms and some Heidi Grace paper.
The ribbon is folded twice, hard to see in the picture.
I had my card finished and then I was gonna put some Chrystal effects on the flowers............well, sometimes nothing comes out of the bottle and you have to use your special tricks to get it out....
not this time.........my card was ruined! Grrr! So I started again and I only used stickles this time.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

A red tractor on the farm....

No, not on our farm, our tractors are green and that's not gonna change anytime soon, men are about tractors as we are about stamps...they know what they want LOL!
But this cute tractor is from Clear Dollar Stamps, I own this set for a while already but I had never inked it up.
The grass is just a piece of green paper and I used sciccors to cut it like this. The little bird and chicken are stamped, cut out and put on dimensionals. Of course I had to add two punched flowers and some bling with the rhinostones and gel pens.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

Matching the ribbon

Before I could sit down and make a card I had to clean up my craft area, the mess was unbelievable.
I picked this ribbon from my fairly big ribbon collection, hmm, and I matched the colours. The rest is pretty simple and the bow is made with the very helpful bow easy.
Now I am gonna try to get the kids to bed early....enjoy your evening, Anja

They choose my card!

Today I found out that Shawne from http://www.shawneindiangirl.blogspot.com/ is featuring my card from CDSWCC35! Go over there and check out this talented lady!!
Her cards are beautiful!
The stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps can be found here: www.cleardollarstamps.com , so many nice things to choose from.......
We are enjoying this last day before it's back to school, hope you are too.
I am hoping to be back later to post a card, anything to keep myself busy as we brought our second son to college far away yesterday, I am happy for him but I already miss him here at home.
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

CDSWCC35

This card is made for the Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge, CDSWCC35.

The colours for this challenge are:

so saffron, rose red and a shade of green. I have a couple of stampsets from them and today I used the flowers, no surprise if you know me.

You can find the challenge here: http://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/cleardollarstampsllcweekendcolorchallenge/forum/topics/clear-dollar-stamps-weekend-18

The yellow crocheted flower is made by me, sitting on the deck between our beautiful flowers making a couple of those crocheted ones. The weather here is beautiful so it's so nice to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

The yellow gift bag/envelope is for a gift for my Mom's birthday this weekend, it's little but it fits.

Can't tell you what it is, it's a surprise!

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Two simple sympathy cards

Two simple sympathy cards is all I can share with you today. I am working on some fun stuff but I can't show it yet!
I like to keep sympathy cards simple and that's what they are.
Have a great day, Anja

Wednesday, September 2, 2009

This picture doesn't show the colours really well, the red looks like pink and it's definetely not pink and the background is IRL like a mustard colour. But I have no time to make another picture. I have to make an appointment nowadays (let's say I have to yell it's my turn now!) to go on this slow, slow pc with all the boys home. Don't worry, I am enjoying this last week......... Have a great day, Anja

Colour core cardstock

This card has a CB background and I have used colour core cardstock for that, after I put it through the CB I ran a piece of sandpaper over it.
It's another card for my box, since I have sold a lot of cards I need to fill the box up again, so much fun!
Have a great day, Anja

Clear Dollar Stamps Guest Designer Challenge, CDSGDC0909

I have made a card for the Clear Dollar Stamps Guest Designer Challenge, you can check it out here:
I have some stamps from this lovely company and I really like them, so I thought I give the challenge a try.
The sets I have used are Birthday Wishes and Charlie Daisy.
Charlie is watercoloured with Tombo markers, the flowers and the butterfly have some yellow stickles on them, the ribbon is from my stash, and I have used Labels 5 and 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders, the dots and the branches.
Hope you like it, have a great day and don't forget to check the website out, Anja

Happy Anniversary!

My day started early today, I went to the dentist already, laundry is on the line, bathrooms are clean and it's only 10 o'clock. Maybe I get some stamping time today.
This is an anniversary card to go into my box. I have used rose red, vanilla, chocolate chip brown, kraft and some pink ribbon, oh and bravo burgundy and kraft ink.
It's a simple card but I am happy with the colour combo, have a great day, Anja

Baby card to go with the dress

The picture on the right is from a cute baby dress I got at Gap baby for a gift, what a fun place to shop!
The colours inspired me to make the card, the picture isn't the greatest, it looks way better IRL.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Happy birthday, Laurens!

Yesterday our youngest son turned 12. Wow, I can't believe how time flies...........it seems like yesterday.
We have a dirtbike, almost just like this one, and the boys love riding it on our farm. They have been trying to get us to trade it in for a bigger one but since we had a few emergency visits this summer I think I am winning this time and things are not gonna change.
So he got the WII sport resort game for his birthday, hopefully nobody gets hurt playing this, but they are boys and you never know........
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

A cased card

Photobucket
This card is completely cased, a friend of mine made the original and I just copied it.
I like the colour combo and the way the sailboats are stamped.
Hope you like it too, thanks for looking, Anja

Country look

Photobucket

Another card with a country look. I got this stamp at Novi for only $2!!! Just the rubber but still......
I tried to use my markers but that didn't work out, so back to alcohol ink.
Have a great day, Anja

John Deere card...

Photobucket
I checked my blog and saw that the picture I first posted of this card was way to big so I had to remove it and try again.... If you didn't already know that I am not good at the pc LOL!
Anyway, this card was intended for my youngest son, who has a birthday coming up but he saw the card already so now I have made something else for him what I will show later.
The stamp is from Clear Dollar Stamps, watercoloured with Tombo's, simple and easy!
Have a great day, Anja

Penny Black's cute bear card

Photobucket
This cute image from Penny Black is watercoloured with Tombo's after I embossed it with black embossing powder. I think I have this computer thing figured out, with the help of my youngest son, now I feel really old.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Did it work?

Photobucket
Another alcohol ink background turned into a masculine card.
Easy and fun to do, have a great day, Anja

Very frustrating....

I have made a couple of cards and I took pictures already now I am trying them to upload the way they are in my file...............it's not happening. So I am trying something else...........
it's not going so well. I might need some help!!
They are just turned wrong and I don't want that. Grrrrrrrrr!
Maybe you all have to turn your heads...........Anja

Fun with alcohol..........ink

No, I didn't pick up drinking. Although, after this second computer crash in the past 2 months you would almost think about it.
Anyway, we are back in business.
This card has another alcohol ink background and a stamped image on acetate. So simple to do and what a great effect.
I am trying to upload more pictures but for one or another reason they are turned the wrong way, have to figure it out first.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

50th birthday card

This card was for a couple who both had their 50 th birthday recently.
It's an alcohol background again with a stamped piece of acetate on top. I made a similar one for another lady who turned 50 but it doesn't upload properly.
Have a great day and stay cool, Anja

Friday, August 14, 2009

Alcohol ink background

Just playing with my alcohol inks for a bit and turned it into a card.
I am doing something very boring...I am listing all my stamps.....stamping them set by set and label them, so that I can look through a binder a see what I have...hmmm...........one binder?
I have started this a while ago but now I am convinced that I need to finish. After that I would like to list them alphabetically......
but that may be too much. We'll see.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Bright mail

Bright colours for this card. This is the first time I am using my new
lighthouse stamp and watercoloured it with Tombo's.
It's for a teenage boy..........boy, what do you make for them?
Anyway, this is the card. I am not sure about all the bright colours but I am happy with my watercolouring. After trying many different papers, I think I have found the one that works for me.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Stair case card

Have you read about stair case cards on Splitcoast?
So much fun to make and the complete tutorial is right there.
It's easy, very easy!
I needed a card for a friend's 40 th birthday, can't believe I have friends that old LOL, and since I don't really make "funny" cards this is something in between. It has flowers, bling and ribbon and the sentiment gives it the "funny" thing. It says on the first scalloped circle : another birthday? and then on the smaller one:
I hope you have enough oxygen to blow out the candles.
My mojo seems to be gone after I made this card, yesterday I stayed in the cool basement because it was so hot and humid but nothing really came out of my hands.
I should have made another stair case card.
Have a nice day and stay cool if you can and need to, Anja
