C4C408, sketch challenge!

Challenge time over at the CRAZIES. This week we have a sketch challenge, always love a good sketch, takes a lot of guessing out of your cardmaking. I made a panel of dr. Phil Martins hydrus watercolors and some 91% of alcohol, you put some of the concentrated watercolors on a piece of bristol smooth and then with a syringe add some alcohol, great effect, I think!
After I cut the 4 rectangles , out of the leftovers I used a Marianne die for the butterfly and I put some iridescent medium on it to make it sparkle. Sentiment is from MSE, the oval is a die too.
Hope you like it! Till next time, Anja

C4C407, it is National Dessert Day!!

Did you know that it is National Dessert Day today? We all get to enjoy dessert today, no calories count on this day, ENJOY!!! Over at the CRAZIES we are celebrating this day by using some sort of dessert or anything related to it on our card.
I digged up this cupcake set from Inkadinkadoo, coloured it with pencils, cut them out and put a layer of iridescent medium over it, so now they sparkle! Some dp papers out of another stash were used and some bling. Hope you like this bright and colourful card!

Digital stamps from Dora!!

Today I am posting a card with a digital stamp from Dora, she lives in the Netherlands and she can draw beautifully, some of her images are turned into digital stamps. You can check it out HERE
Dora asked me to be part of her design team....of course I said YES, I love to do that!!
This month the theme is winter and I am using her image for this card. It is called blue chicadee with pine cone.Coloured with derwent colorsoft pencils and a for the background I used a stencil with a clarity brush with some antique linen distress ink from Tim Holtz. I also added some chunky, white enamel powder as snow.
First I coloured the bird and then I put a thin layer of glossy accents on it, when that is dry, I make the background.
Looking forward to play more with Dora's stamps, the best part of digi stamps....they don't take up any room in my packed craft room, lol.
Here is a list of the numbers from the pencils:
670  710  400 580  500  640  510  720  530  520  010  650
Hope you like it, till next time, Anja

Hallo Allemaal,
Groetjes, Anja

C4c406, World Card Making Day!

Today is world Card making Day!! That means I get to play all day, lol. That is not gonna happen but a girl can dream...For the challenge over at the CRAZIES, we are asked to make a card , just have fun!!I am sharing a baby card with you where I used my Silhouette. The background is done with a stencil from Tim Holtz and the clarity brushes, very light blue, it does not show up well in the picture and some stamped dots in the corners with green and gray. The stars and sentiments are all done with the cameo, some nuvo drops to finish it off.
Hope you get to play today! Till next time, Anja
