Big butterfly thank you

This afternoon I had some stamping time.......and I really enjoyed it!

I have been working on some cards, but I can't show them yet, they are for a class, tba!

This card is not for the class so I can show you. I have had this butterfly for a while and I had made some sketches from other people's cards, so this idea is not originally from me.

I like how the card turned out, the picture is taken in my new photo tent, it's so nice that I am able to take a picture any time of the day.

Vanmiddag heb ik tijd gehad om te stampen, en ik heb er echt van genoten.

Ik heb een aantal kaarten gemaakt die ik nog niet kan laten zien, ze zijn voor een workshop.

Deze kaart is niet voor de workshop, ik had deze grote vlinder al een tijdje maar nooit wat mee gedaan. Ik had een aantal schetsen gemaakt van anderen en daar heb ik dit van gemaakt.

Nu vind ik die vlinder helemaal leuk, ik heb de foto van deze kaart gemaakt in mijn nieuwe fototent, nu kan ik op ieder tijdstip een goede foto maken. Lekker makkelijk.

A friend is turning 50 today and I made her this card, a funny one, not really my style but I had this ribbon and I like the colours together.

I am so happy with this card, the bib stamp is from the dollar store and has some stickles on it.

The "welcome baby" stamp is from Verve stamps, the rest is pretty basic.

Ik vind hem zelf erg leuk geworden, de slabbetje stempel is van de dollarstore, er zitten stickles op. The "welcome baby" stempel is van Verve stamps, de rest is simpel.

Two cards to share

I have 2 cards to share today, another one is ready but I cann't get a good picture. I am waiting for a photo tent, finally I gave in and ordered one.

It promises good results any time, so.......

The Happy card is very similar to the one in the previous post but I like this one way better.

And the card with the bow.........that's my favourite. If you know me, I usually don't do bows because I cann't make them. This one was just perfect to me after the first try.

Voor deze kaart heb ik een clear stamp setje gebruikt, zou niet weten wat de naam ervan is.

I don't think this card is my style....it has flowers, but I am not sure I like it.

The set is from Inkadinkadoo, and you build a scene.........

that's what I did anyway. On the flowers and the vellum butterfly are little rhinestones, they make the card sparkle.

I have also used a borderpunch from Martha Stewart.

Ik weet niet wat ik van deze kaart moet denken, niet helemaal mijn stijl, bloemen maar voor de rest...........

Het is een setje van Inkadinkadoo, allemaal losse stempeltjes en dan maak je je eigen plaatje, dat heb ik geprobeerd. In het midden van de bloemetjes en de vlinder zitten rhinestones, en ze glitteren leuk. De rand is een punch van Martha Stewart.

Ik denk dat ik nu genoeg paars heb gebruikt, ik ga maar weer eens wat anders proberen.

This is a super simple card. It's a flower from Inkadinkadoo and I bought this a while ago for $2, but had never used it.

So today is the day, the card is for Sharon's challenge,

I have scored some lines, hard to see in the picture, it really adds something to the card. The sentiment is from CTMH, some stickles in the center of the embossed flower and 3 mini brads.

The flower is embossed with white embossing powder and I have cut it out.

Een hele simpele kaart met een stamp van Inkadinkadoo, had ik een tijdje geleden voor $2 gekocht en nog niet gebruikt. Tot vandaag, de kaart is voor de challenge van Sharon,

Op het wit heb ik wat lijnen gescoord, beetje moeilijk te zien maar het geeft de kaart net dat beetje wat het nodig had. De thank you stamp is van Close to my Heart, 3 mini brads en een beetje stickles in het midden van de bloem.

De bloem is embossed met wit embossing poeder en toen heb ik het uitgeknipt.

Heel simpel, en snel klaar, ik ben blij met het resultaat.

Purple Magenta flowers

This card didn't turn out the way I planned it.

Not at all, but I did finish it. After I had watercoloured the image

with Tombo markers, I put some twinkling H2O's on top, then the silver beads with some Stickles.

I like it but it's not my favourite, oh well, they cann't be all masterpieces,LOL!!!

I haven't used sage shadow in ages so maybe that's why, I don't know, it's done and I'll move on to the next card.

A card for my sister

Today my sister and her husband went home.

We had such a nice time together and I am sad now that it's over.

But I guess, that's life.

Yesterday I made this card to thank them for coming.

I had to take a picture outside because the light was no good.

It's a simple card and it sparkles IRL because I put some stickles on the white embossed leaves.

Vandaag zijn mijn zus en haar man naar huis gegaan.
We hebben het ontzettend leuk gehad en ik vind afscheid nemen nooit leuk, maar ja het hoort erbij.

Gisteren heb ik dit bedankkaartje voor ze gemaakt. Het is heel simpel en het glittert in het echt leuk, de blaadjes zijn geembossed in het wit en daar heb ik wat glitter lijm overheen gedaan.

Mijn zus en haar man vieren Kerstmis bij ons dit jaar, daar zijn we erg blij mee.

A nasty cold....

So sorry, I have nothing new to share with you.
I got this nasty cold and I don't have extra energy to go to my stamp room.
I didn't share many Christmas cards either, not because I don't want to show them, it's way worse..............I didn't make them............

Anniversary card

I seem to be sticking to the same colours these days. But I did a bow, and I do like it, usually when I try to make a bow, I never like it so I just make a double knot. And even that can be hard sometimes.

The black piece had the dots from the CB embossing folder, I was thinking of putting some stickles on the flowers but I didn't do it.

I put the little dots on the bottom instead.

Those new Nestabilities are really nice if you can get your hands on them.

De laatste tijd gebruik ik steeds dezelfde kleuren. Maar deze kaart heeft wel een strikje, eentje die goed gelukt is, meestal lukken ze niet en doe ik maar gewoon een dubbele knoop en zelfs dat lukt niet altijd.

Het zwarte stukje papier heb ik door de CB gedaan met de dots embossing folder.

Eerst wilde ik stickles op de bloemen doen maar dat heb ik niet gedaan. In plaats daarvan heb ik de 3 zilveren dots gedaan.

De nieuwe Nestabilities zijn erg leuk alleen moeilijk te vinden, ze zijn overal uitverkocht.

Almost the same card.......

This is a card I made Tuesday morning, I didn't have a lot of time so I used the same layout and colours as the previous card and I dried the stickles with the heater in our car. Don't worry, my husband was driving.

Not a good picture

The picture for this card didn't turn out good, it is too late in the afternoon ,

I think. It's a card for an engagement and IRL it really sparkles, and the black ribbon is nice but if I look at this picture I don't like it.

There are stickles on the flowers.

Oh well, good thing it's not the other way around.

De foto van deze kaart is niet zo goed, ik denk dat het al te laat in de middag is. Het is een kaart voor een verloving en "in het echt" glittert tie en is het zwarte lintje gewoon goed , als ik naar deze foto kijk vind ik de kaart helemaal niet mooi.

Nou ja, gelukkig is het niet andersom. Misschien probeer ik het morgen nog een keer.

Soft, cool colours for SC 204

This is the card I have made for Sketch challenge 204 from Splitcoast.
Soft colours, makes me think of spring but we are far away from that.
I really like the card, hope you do too.

Embossed trees

Here it's a regular day.
I need a masculine birthday card and this is all I can think of.

Sharon, www.notimetostamp.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com,

has some nice embossed trees in some of her cards with 2 colours and I thought I was gonna try that.......it is easy to do and it really turns out nice......you just have to keep the 2 colours apart and not use the same tray if you haven't emptied it yet.

I didn't do that so I ended up with 2 colours mixed, copper and brown, so when I finally decided I wanted my trees embossed on the kiwi kiss paper I used this mix. It took me a while to make the card, and I still think there is something missing or maybe there is too much green on the card. Anyway it is as it is and this card will be in the mail tomorrow.

Two similar cards

Two very similar cards today,
same colours, same idea.
I have used my CB borders along the side with some liquid pearls on top.
Both of those cards need to go in the mail today......
since I made them in time I better get at it.
My friend and I are making a hot lunch today for
3 "old" Dutch ladies, I don't think they visit my blog, they probably don't like it when we call them old. Anyway we did this last year and had a great time, so I am taking a turn today.
It's amazing what you can learn from those ladies who went through so much and came to Canada when immigrating meant, you were probably never gonna see your family again, no email and such things.

Another old favourite

I needed a baby girl card and didn't have one in my stash so I quickly made this card. The picture isn't the greatest, sorry, it's getting dark so early, hard to take good pictures.

This card is cased, but I don't remember who to give credit, it's been a while I made this sketch, and I probably have used it , but never taken a picture.

So it was quick and easy and pink!! Perfect for a baby girl.

Two challenges....ssnotime62 and WSC67.

Today I have two cards to share with you, the one is from yesterday but it was too late to take a picture.

The baby card is done for the challenge from Sharon, you had to stamp on ribbon, check it out at

I had never stamped on ribbon other than the twill ribbon, so I have learned something new,

it goes really well if you use Stazon.

Since I didn't want to use black in a baby card, I used this blue and worked with it.

I even tried a little bit of paper piercing with the little shirt.

The birthday card is done for Beate's weekend challenge, http://www.beatesblog.splitcoaststampers.com/, I just love this SU stampset Upsy Daisy. The colours are old olive, riding red hood and so saffron. I had to add something sparkling and it had to be the right colour.....all I had was those green little Hero flowers, I think the stamp is made to put

the sentiment in the right top corner but that was not the sketch. I also put a little bit of Chrystal stickles on the flowers, just enough to make it sparkle.

It is snowing here again so I am not going anywhere other than my kitchen and hopefully my stamproom and I am quite content that way, have a nice day and thanks for looking, Anja

A week without stamping.......

No stamping for a week, wow, I am a bad blogger!!

But I did get 32 pages of scrapbooking done and I am very happy about that.

So after cleaning up from the scrapbook weekend, I finally made a card today.

I have combined CC 192 and Beate's sketch from last week.

The flower stamp is from Hero and the sentiment from SU.

I am pleased with this card, hope that I didn't lose all of you!

Baja breeze and old olive

Here is my card for today, I was playing with some colour combo's and came up with baja breeze and olive, I am sure I am not the first one to do this but I like the colours together.

French script is stamped on the background, the flowers in olive and I have coloured the centre with a silver stardust pen.

A MS butterfly and some bling under the sentiment, a ribbon and all done.

I will not be posting till Monday as I am leaving tomorrow morning for our scrapbook weekend, I am so excited!!

Tonight we are going to see Allan Jackson and our corn is off, believe me,

those 2 things make my DH really happy.

Nothing new to share

Just a simple card

The card I am sharing with you today is a simple sympathy card with the new kiwi kiss and black.

You will not believe how long it took to make it.........one of those cards, you start with one thing and then try something else, you end up with a mess in your space and if you're lucky your card will be done, now I should make a few more of those to make up for the lost time. I think it will be nice in a different colour combo too.

For this card I have used the new in colours from SU, the new pink, kiwi and riding red hood. I made 2 cards like this and the other one had fake stitching around the flowers but I have sent it away already and the computer wouldn't take the memory card from my one camera.............grrrr,

so I made another picture with my Rebel and the computer was being nice to me. Anyway, enough complaining, when I looked for a colour combo at SCS I never thought I would put those colours together but I love it.

The bird is a Martha Stewart punch and the saying is from VERVE stamps!!

Now I am off to my kitchen and start dinner preparations, we are having company tonight, then some cleaning and while I am doing that I can think about sketch number 5.

There are some crystal Stickles on the flowers, the picture doesn't do the card justice but I cann't seem to get a better one.

VSHR1, another challenge!!

Another Christmas card, this is the first year I have made so many different designs, usually I pick one or two and work with them.

This one is done with a really old SU set, I think it is called Holiday Peace, but I am not sure, for the challenge from Julee, VSHR1, check it out

The dp is from Basic Grey, artichoke and bravo burgundy from SU.

It's a quick and simple card, I like it, around the scalloped circle I have used liquid pearls.

I am convinced now that there is not enough time in a day!!

For this card I used some flowers I bought a while ago, the pink came from my stash and the celery piece is done with the CB dots, sentiment from SU, some black ribbon, silver brads and stickles, easy pie.

The funky circles/flowers are from a really cheap set I found at Walmart.

I love this colour combo and the sketch is for one you want to save.

I am hoping for some time to stamp today.

The snowflake is a CB cut and emboss die, really easy to do.

Sentiment from SU and the rest is pretty basic and probably done before.

It is a fairly simple card to make so I might make a couple more.

Is it just me, that I always think that there will be enough time??
Oh well, the good thing is that there is never a boring moment!

The weather is beautiful again, so while I go for a walk I can think about the next card.

A fall card with buttons, ssnotime59

This is my take on it.

I also did a sympathy card like this one, without the buttons and gold stickles on the leaves.

You cann't really see the stickles in the picture but they blend in

nicely with the gold cord through the buttons.

The weather is so nice now, after all that rain we had last night and today.

Quick baby card

Last night I did realize that I needed a baby boy card for church this morning, so I quickly made this one.

I am sure something like this is been done before, but I do like how it turned out and I am planning to make another one with celery and barely banana so that it can be for boy or girl.

The fall card is still in pieces......it just isn't working for me, oh well,

we are going for a walk to enjoy the nice weather.

An old favourite

Today I am sharing this card with you, I have made it a long time ago but since I wasn't a blogger then I have never shared it.
I still like it and I actually made another one today.
My "new" card for today is still in pieces on my desk........

Sketch challenge 200

My second card for today, this is for SC 200.

I love this set Pocket silhouettes, and I am happy with the card.

It's simple and I had it done in no time, mind you, I did think about what colours I was gonna use and stuff like that while I was cleaning.

Now it's time to open the boxes with Halloween candy and make some bags, as long as they are closed I can leave them alone but once they are open........

Last time..........

I gave this card one more try and that will be it, I just wasn't happy with the result and the previous picture was awful so I did remove it.

I have added a white layer to make it more pop and put red and silver stickles on the tree. The picture is a lot better.

Now I am gonna try to make a flower card with the sketch challenge from Splitcoast, so I hope to be back later.

The fall card

Fall card

This morning I have a nice fall card to share but my computer won't read my memory card.
How frustrating!!
Maybe because it doesn't look like fall at all outside, there is snow on the ground and still more to come.
Some trees still have their leaves and the sun is just coming out, I better take some pictures.

Lily and Milo card

When I was in Holland I bought a couple of the images from

Rachelle Anne Miller, something completely different for me.

This is my first card with them, I coloured the image with regular pencils and Gamsol. I have added some bling, ribbon, a CB border with buttons, the scalloped border and a Nestabilitie diecut.

What can I say? The card is done and I probably have to learn a lot to make these stamps work for me.

I need to make a thank you card so I better give that a try.

Cuttlebug card

This card has no stamping on it, there is a verse on the inside but nothing stamped on the outside.

It is all cuttlebug, my friend has this CB set.

Some yellow stickles on the candles , 2 silver brads, some ribbon and that's it.

I think this is a cute card for my nephew.
