Happy Saturday! Challenge time over at the CRAZIES. Yesterday was National Tea Day.....the challenge is to make something with tea or coffee.....I wanted to play more with my Tim Holtz stamps and the watercolour look with the flowers so I made the challenge work for me, lol.
I did my flowers in the pots, I don't have a stamp that says anything coffee so I put a sketch pen in my Cameo and printed my own sentiment!
Third Saturday of the month!! Love the sketch challenge over at the CRAZIES
When I have a sketch to follow, it always helps me and the card comes together a lot quicker.
For this one, I played with the stamps that were on my desk already, the Tim Holtz flowers.
Created a background with distress paints and stamped the flowers in Versafine black, I added some
wink of Stella for bling. On the big background I used a stencil with distress ink and the sentiment is from MFT. Some Ranger enamel dots and voila.....the card was done!
Happy Friday! Here my cards for the SGD blog today, I will be teaching those 2 cards in a class, May 6 from 12.30 till 1.30 at the Komoka Community Center.
Saturday means it is challenge time over at the CRAZIES. This week it is ZOO LOVER'S DAY.....the great time about being on this design team is, that you can stretch the challenges, lol. That is what I did.....I used chickadees on my card, pretty sure they are in the ZOO too, most likely because they are every where, lol. But I really wanted to play with this set from Local Rubber King, I stamped the birds with distress markers and brushed on a glaze, when that was dry the fun begun....
I stamped, inked, sprayed, splattered, used inkagold, enamel embossing powder.....and so on.
Happy Saturday! The challenge this week over at the CRAZIES it to use a rainbow or a variety of colours on your card, because April 3 is FIND A RAINBOW DAY!
I started out with a white piece of Neenah and made a rainbow with Tim Holtz distress inks, I then splattered some water spetters on it and stamped the Penny Black flower.
The placement of the sentiment is not my favourite, I did go over it with a sparkle black marker so IRL it sparkles, lol.
Hope you check out the challenge! Till next time, Anja
Oops, a day late!!! Completely forgot to post my card yesterday for the CRAZIES.
It is Frances' birthday and she adores owls so the challenge is to use owls.
I have this set from Art Impressions, coloured it with Derwent Intense pencils and cut it out, the eyes have glossy accent on them. The designer paper is out of my stash....
It is the third Saturday of the month already and that means it is sketch challenge over at the CRAZIES. They take the guessing out of cardmaking, love a good sketch!
For this card I have used a Stampendous stamp, star lilies, and coloured it with derwent intense metallic pencils. The picture does not really show the shine but it is there. Sentiment out of my stash, I think it is stampendous too. Come on over and check out what the other design team members have created, get inspired and join us if you like!
Happy Friday! Oh,how I love Altenew stamps...all of them and they keep coming out with more....
This card is made with the Bamboo Roses , coloured with Derwent Inktense pencils. I fussy cut them out and also some extra leaves, used a clear wink of stella pen to add some shine. The background is done with peeled paint distress ink and a stencil, sentiment from a thank you set from Altenew.
This card is already in the mail to Holland, where we spend a lovely week with family and friends.
Happy Saturday! Hope Mr. Blogger do as he says he does, lol, I am away on a trip to Holland to visit family. This week was World Book Day and we are asked to use something from a book on your card over at the CRAZIES. I had coloured the flowers earlier, they are from the Hello Sunshine set from Altenew and decided to use a bible verse. This verse is such a great reminder for me.
Flowers were coloured with Derwent inktense pencils and have a layer of shiny medium over them.
Use your words! Make your sentiment the focal point of your card, that is the challenge today over at the CRAZIES. Recently I bought some YUPO paper, for this card I used some alcohol inks on it, what a game changer! After it dried, the flowers were stamped along the bottom, they are from Altenew, hello sunshine. The sentiment is from the same set, stamped in black, matted on silver, as a final touch, I added different colours of Nuvo drops.
Happy Saturday! Third Saturday of the Month means it is sketch challenge over at the CRAZIES.
I went a little crazy with my Nuvo drops......Flower is from Altenew, coloured with derwent inktense pencils and cut out. designer paper out of my never ending stash, sentiment from MFT.
After I coloured the flowers, I put a layer of medium gloss varnish on, it gives them a nice shine.
Hop on over and check out what the other design team members have created, and join us or get insprired! Thanks for stopping by, Anja
Challenge time over at the CRAZIES today, with Valentine's day around the corner the challenge today is to use food/dining related theme on your card and the colour red.
I had to think hard what to use, since you can not really eat flowers, lol. In one of my drawers I found this cupcake stamp, I think it was from the $1 bin at Michaels , I stamped it, coloured it with Prismacolour pencils, cut it out and glittered it up. Some different shapes of Nestabilities, stars and a sentiment from Penny Black. Come and join us at the challenge or get inspired by the design team members! Hope you like it, Anja
It's Saturday and that means challenge time over at the CRAZIES!
This week we are asked to make a card with squirrels on it....my Cameo helped me out with those cute animals. Treestamp is from Inkadinkadoo stamped with markers and then blended out with some water. Paper out of my BIG stash.
Third week of the month means Sketch challenge over at the CRAZIES. You can find the details HERE. It is hard to see the wave border behind the rectangle panel, the circles are cut with the Silhouette, sentiment from MSE and paper......out of my stash....
I was going for the circle look, lol, Till next time, Anja
Welcome to this challenge of the CRAZIES! Create something for a NEW HOME, anything for in the house or for a new house or with something that makes you think of a new home.
I used an old stamp from Clear Dollar stamsp and watercoloured the house and cut a circle diecut, the trees are from Inkadinkado. I stamped with distress inks and blended it out with a wet brush.
Not sure about the spelling on the card...must be American? Who knows, English is my second language so I could be so wrong.
Happy Saturday! Our first challenge of 2017 over at the CRAZIES. Unofficially today is
"Old Rock Day" so we are asked to create something with a rock!! Anything you can think off!!
I have a good collection of Stampscapes....and I have used some on this card. The cabin on the lake, the rocks on the front, the reeds, clouds and birds. I started making a background with "te gekke krijtjes", wax based crayons from Holland, and then stamped the images and added some white gel pen accents. Sentiment (unknown) on a circle, some added paper and score lines to complete this card.
Pick any sketch from the past year and go with it, I used C4C341, turned it sideways.
Panel on the left has a few score lines, hard to see, stamp in the right bottom corner is Stampscapes and the scene is a stamp from Marianne Design, background done with the Dutch "te gekke krijtjes"
Love those crayons, they are wax based and very easy to use.
STAR – Stars decorate our Christmas Trees and also helped show where Jesus was laying in his Manger
all those many years ago. So for our challenge this week we are using the word ‘STAR’ – incorporate
something starting with each of the letters in the word
So here we go, I used S the silver background and silver embossing powder
T teal bow and colorburst background
A card made by ANJA, lol
R the flower is a rose
Hope you get a change to check out what the other Design team members have created and play along if you can, Happy crafting, Anja
Did you know that today it is NATIONAL CAKE DAY!!! I did not know that there was such a thing but I am for sure liking it!! For the challenge today over at the CRAZIES, we are asked to put cake on our projects.
For my card I cut the cake with the Silhouette and used some designer papers that I saved.....really trying to use what I have. Along the bottom I used the Martha Stewart heart punch, some twine, lots of Viva glitter and Viva pearl pens and a sentiment from Penny Black.
Happy Friday! This card is cased from the Altenew blog!! I love the simple layout and the single flower on the bottom, mine is coloured with prismacolour pencils. The flower is from this set HERE. Sentiment from Penny Black some bling out of my stash. The dots were added with a fine tip black marker....I could not resist, lol. In the new year when our new adventure starts, I ll be teaching a 4 card class with this Altenew set, it will be on the website soon , but I can tell you the date: January 18 at 1 PM, so stay tuned for more details
Since this is the third Saturday in the month, we have a sketch for you to follow along.
A baby card for me this time.....I realized that there is no stamping on it this time, lol. I used the star and a mini star embossing folder. nestabilities and the welcome baby is from the Cameo.
Some silver accents and stars, and voila the card was made.
Hope you'll have a change to play along! Till next time, Anja
Happy Saturday! Challenge time over at the CRAZIES.
We are asked to use stitches/thread on a card, in your stamps, dies, embellishments...anything....
I messed my stitches stamp , along the bottom, up when I was almost done...grr...so I covered it up with golden Viva dots, lol. The wreath is from the Cameo, background with brusho, sentiment from Just Rite. The cut out circle also has stitching around it, dies from Nellie Snellen.
It's Saturday, time for a challenge for the CRAZIES. This time we are asked to make a card with your initials or with something that starts with you initials....I struggled with it, lol.
I think I found something...these flowers are Asters, my initial is an A and if that is not true, because I am really not good with the names of flowers, then the water is Aqua blue!!
It's the third Saturday of the month and that means SKETCH CHALLENGE over at the CRAZIES. Love using sketches! I started by rubbing my versamark pad over a stencil and adding some pan pastels, when I thought I sprayed it with a sealer I actually sprayed it with tacky stuff......
That's when I decided to sprinkle on some gold glitter, since it was sticky anyway, and placed a piece of acetate on top! Really like this! Not sure if this is a technique or not, but I will be doing this more, lol!
Then I cut the piece in 4 pieces to follow along with the sketch. The stamps are from MFT, stamped on Nestabilities.
It's Saturday, time for another challenge over at the CRAZIES. This time we are asked to use opposite colours of the colour wheel.....I had to look it up, lol!
My choice is yellow and purple and flowers.....what a surprise!
Haven't used any border punches forever, this one is Martha Stewart..hope you like it!
