Happy Saturday! Time for another challenge over at the CRAZIES, March is National Umbrella Month......I did not know this, lol. So the challenge is to do something with an umbrella...I did not have much stamping time this week,but yesterday I went to my little card class and we made this card...perfect timing for me! SoI did not design this card myself.

C4C 325, Spring time!

SPRING time over at the CRAZIES, come and join us for celebrating that Spring is really coming!

I have made several cards lately that would go well for this challenge.....Spring time for me, makes me think of pretty pink flowers, some green and bling, lol!

So I used another Penny Black flower, inked up with markers and some sponging around,  a gold thread around the bottom and the sentiment I cut with the Silhouette, after I saw that you can get some pretty dies

from MFT, I think. Since I have the Cameo, I try not to buy any dies...and it worked again!

Passionate sympathy card

Sharing with you today a sympathy card with the Passionate stamp from Penny Black.

Its a quick and easy card, I used tombo markers in the stamp and a gold gel pen for some accents. Sentiment from Just Rite. Matted on black on a silver card base. Hopefully this card will stay in my basket for a while.

Third Saturday of the month, sketch challenge time over at the CRAZIES.

Love a sketch challenge, so easy to start a card when you know what you are doing, lol!
For my card I used the Beautiful Day set from Altenew for the flower, with a couple of different shades of purple, some punches to make the leaves and a sentiment from Just Rite.

Some tape and a strip of paper to make the diagonal line, and an embossing folder on the bottom.

The top purple is a shiny paper, hard to see in the picture.

Happy Family Day! Playing with my Altenew Stamps, I watercoloured the stamped images, the flowers are popped up. Some stickles in the center and some sponging and dots. Sentiment is popped up too. I matted it on black, leaving a bigger space on the right.

C4C323, red and pink monochromatic

Happy Saturday! If you live in my area, you are probably buried under a big blanket of snow right now, it's been snowing hard and still more to come, perfect for some stamping time, lol!

The challenge today over at the CRAZIES is to make a monochromatic card using red and pinks!

Since I am on a watercolour roll....I used my tombo's to make this background on watercolour paper.

Stamps are from Inkadinkadoo, and I heat embossed the images in black. I am keeping this card sentiment free for now...you never know when you need a card and then I can personalize it.

C4C322, heart kite!

It's National Kite day according to our challenge over at the Crazies
Since I was not sure if I had any kite stamps, my cameo helped me out again!
I found this heart kite and this is what I came up with, the background is an embossing folder with some Tim Holtz barn door ink sponged on, sentiment from Just Rite.
At least I got started on some Valentines cards.......it is around the corner.

 I had to think a bit about it.. This is what I came up with, a girl under an umbrella. The background is made with watercolour paints with some pearlescent water, hard to see in the picture. Sentiment from Just Rite, embossed in black, little girl cut with Silhouette. Some twine as a finishing touch. Hope you like it, Anja

I coloured it with Prismacolor pencils and some gamsol, cut it out and popped it up, the background is done with tumbled glass distress ink, sentiment from Altenew. She has some exciting news.....

Challenge day over at the Crazies, it happened to be National Popcorn Day this week so the challenge is to add some POP to our cards or projects.

I popped up my Altenew flower with foam and also by using some bright colours on gray leaves, I think it makes the flower pop.

C4C319, sketch challenge

It's the third Saturday of the month and that means sketch challenge over at the CRAZIES, you can find all the info and cards  from the design team HERE. Sketch challenges are a great help to me, it makes designing a card a whole lot quicker. I used the flower stamp from Altenew, Beautiful Day, and I cut out the leaves instead of stamping them. The 3 squares are embossed with an unknown embossing folder...sorry, no clue who made it and there in no name on the folder itself. I also flipped the sketch, and that is fine, you are welcome to change it up any way you like. The size of this card is 4 x 4.

Trying something different...

It's the perfect day to stay inside while the snow is falling and blowing....I am trying some different colouring techniques, this is with the prismacolour pencils. Far from perfect but practice might make it better, lol.

I don't have the happy die from Altenew, but I cut this one and the background with the Cameo.

It's Saturday, challenge time for the CRAZIES. You can check it out HERE.

Apparently it's BUBBLE BATH day, so the challenge is to use some sort of bubbles on your card.

I decided to cut the bubbles with my Silhouette and put them behind the frame, which is raised with foam tape.

The flower is from Altenew, coloured with Prismacolour pencils and Gamsol, then cut out. Sentiment is also from Altenew, can  you tell I fell in love with those stamps, lol!

Simple sympathy card

The New Year just started and I already need 2 sympathy cards. I like to keep those simple since it is not about the card at all.

For this one, I used the Golden Garden set from Altenew, I simple stamped it with tattered rose and the outine in chocolate brown, sentiment is from Just Rite. The leaves are coloured with tattered rose distress marker. A few scored lines and some dots on a kraft base.

C4C317, Z fold card!

Happy Saturday! The first one in the New Year, are you ready for a brand new challenge from the CRAZIES?

We said goodbye to some design team members and new people joined us, you can check it out!

The challenge is that apparently yesterday was Z Day.

 Let's celebrate by including something starting with the letter Z on our cards. You could make a Z Fold Card, use a zip or zip image, zinnia, zebra, zoo etc. Let's show the letter Z how much we love it!

So I made a Z fold card and I used a variety of Stampscapes stamps, I took a picture of both because both sides are stamped on. For inks I used Tim Holtz distress inks, tumbled glass, broken china, peeled paint and dusty concord.

Bouquet of flowers with Altenew

When the ice pellets were falling down hard, I was in my craft room working on this card. First I stamped all the flowers seperate on watercolor paper and cut them out, then I layed them out on my white cardstock and stamped the stems, arranging the flowers, some are popped up. Then I cut around the top...and then...then I messed it up,grrrr, I had not used my wink of Stella pen in ages and I don't know what happened, but it was not good......so then I put stickles on top to cover it up and I guess it's okay.

The flowers are from Altenew whimsical flowers and the sentiment is from Persian motifs.

Layered lily

Finally inked up the layered lily from Altenew. Started with stamping on watercolour paper, shaded lilac from Tim Holtz, SU eggplant and Versafine black. I blended with water and cut out the lilies. The centre and stamina were added later. For the leaves, I used three inks, shabby shutters, peeled paint and forest moss, again I blended with water and cut them out. For the background, also watercolour paper,   I stamped SU French script with Versafine and heat embossed it in white. Then I added some antique linen and sprayed some water on, after that was dry, I inked up a big SU crosshatch stamp with memento toffee crunch and stamped over it. Walnut stain is sponged around, then I wiped the ink off the embossed areas. A vanilla base with some score lines and I put the card together, some viva pearls as a last final touch........so much fun to make it.

Hello with Altenew

Just playing with my stamps, i started with the pink piece of paper. The images are heat embossed in white, I coloured them with Tim Holtz distress markers, worn lipstick, barn door and peeled paint. After the colouring was done, I spritzed the whole piece with water with some pearlex in it. It's hard to see the shimmer in the picture, sentiment is cut with the Silhouette. Some bling and sponging and the card was done.

Just some play time with a flower stamp.....coloured with Derwents , after colouring I put some glaze over top and when that was dry, I stamped the dots and put on some tumbled glass around.

A foggy day

It was quite foggy here yesterday and it inspired me to make this card with a Penny Black stamp. I added some dots with versafine and silver embossing powder. Inks from Tim Holtz, evergreen bough, peacock feathers and faded jeans.

I have a couple new tree stamps and this is one from Impression Obsession

I saw a real life picture with those colours, grabbed my distress inks barn door, citrus orange and memento london fog to create this scene.

C4C314, square challenge!

Challenge day over at the CRAZIES, today is National square dance day and the challenge is to make a card with squares or a square card. I choose to make a 4x4 little card with the winterhouse stamp from Rosewood, the image is embossed in silver and watercoloured with Derwent pencils. Then I added some stickles, after the stickles were dry, I added the white embossing enamel as snow.

The last thing I did, was adding the score lines. Hope you like this little card!

Happy Saturday! Here is my card for the CRAZIES, this week the challenge is a femine birthday card with buttons on it! So I went with my favourite colour combo for this kind of card, pink and green.

I used some modelling paste with a stencil on the background, after it dried, I sponged on some Tim Holtz bundled sage.

The flowers were cut with the Silhouette and have some picked raspberry sponged on. The greenery is done with various punches.

With so many beautiful Fall colours outside, I had to make a card with leaves. I embossed them in white and then applied different colours of distress inks. The whole panel is sprayed with a gold glimmermist, its really hard to see in this picture. Sentiment from CTMH, embossed in gold and some gold cord.

The Silhouette came to the rescue again....completely forgot to make a wedding card,  had great intentions, lol. So I made this one from the Silhouette store, it took me a while but I love how it turned out.

Sketch time, C4C 308!

It's Saturday and it's snowing here!! The flowers keep blooming in my craft room, those Altenew stamps are way to awesome to play with, I had to use them again for the sketch challenge over at the CRAZIES.

Kept my card pretty simple, used some old SU cardstock and added scored lines. The label  is also a punch from SU. Check out what the other Design team members have created to spark your creativity and join us if you like, we would love to have you!
