Friday post on a Monday!

Oops, I forgot to post this card on Friday here at my own blog, you can read all about this card HERE.

I have been crafty even when I don't post anything, sometimes there is just not enough time in a day. On my scrapbook weekend I did 35 layouts!! O yeah, I am bragging!

And I do have more cards made, I can't show them yet since I have to send them to people who read my blog.

Happy Halloween and till later, Anja

A quick card

Life is getting in the way of my crafting and that's okay. Harvest time is always a busy time here and the weather doesn't really help but it will be okay just like always.
I did make this card, with the beautiful dp from Stella Rose and butterfly dies from Cheery Lynn, another MS borderpunch and sentiment from Hero Arts.
Love those colour together, the butterflies have goosebumps on them.
I am off to watch another volleyball game, thanks for stopping by, Anja

The flower is made with the Rose Creations from Spellbinders, sentiment from Inkadinkadoo,
SU label punches, dots embossing folder and the greenery around the flower is done with a variery of punches and some Marianne dies.
A big shiny brad from my stash and a bow to top it off.

Wedding card and a new website

Did you get to make a card on National Cardmaking Day?
I did, between going to the local Fair and picking up kids here and there.
A wedding card this time, with the set from Flourishes, stamped with Versafine black for a crisp image. A MS borderpunch and a embossing folder from Sizzix and a doily from Cheery Lynn......
cut out with my new.............drumroll please, vagabond from Tim Holtz.
No, I didn't win it at SGD, but maybe you did.
You should go over to the new website and check it out, you can find it HERE.
Anyhow, I bought myself the vagabond machine, and I have to say, it is a great machine, it does exactly as it says and for those detailed dies....perfect cuts and no more picking out little pieces of paper or missing some parts of it. Tim does it all, LOL!
Today would be another great cardmaking day but I will be a good girl and go clean up the mess here at home, maybe tonight...
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

I love visiting her blog and the tutorials are awesome! She is such an inspiration!
I did use some different dies and flowers, my flowers are from Crealies and the greenery, it is a mix of dies and punches, Martha Stewart, Marianne dies, Cheery Lynn dies and I probably forgot some.

New to me

A baby card with a "new to me" stamp from Outlines rubber stamps.

Saturday it was garage sale at SGD, and I picked up this cute stamp. I don't know this company but that doesn't mean anything...there are so many beautiful and cute stamps out there it wouldn't be good if I did know them all, LOL!

So yesteday I sat down with my Prismacolour pencils and coloured it up, later on adding a lot of different stickles. The sentiment is from Verve stamps, I always seem to grab that one when I need a baby card. After taking this picture, I did fix the little pink dots on the right, they are on straight now, oops.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

Penny Black baby card

Instead of sharing a card with you, I should be cleaning up my craft space....the mess is huge!

But I dsy down and made a card....way more fun and the mess will wait.

Sharing with you today a baby card done with a Penny Black stamp and the sentiment is from Verve.

I have coloured the image with Prisma's and I used a Sankura pen on top to highlight some areas, hard to see in the picture, then I used Nellie dies to cut it out. Love how those dies go so well with the Martha Stewart border punch.

Some bling and the dots embossing folder to top it off.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Have fun checking out the store's blog, lots of good stuff going on there.
Have a great day, Anja

Just Rite birthday wishes

It is no secret....I love Just Rite stamps! This stamp is from the set Birthday Celebrations.
I had fun making this card, I stamped it in Versafine black and coloured with Prisma's and Gamsol, then I cut it out with some different Nesties. The little circle in the middle is popped up.
I picked some dp from my stash, this one is from Cosmo Cricket, Pixie Licious. Borderpunch from Martha Stewart and the flowers are made from different little punches, shaped with my flower tool kit. I added some score lines and made pearls for the centre of the flowers with the Viva pearl pen, ice white.
I didn't add any more bling, for one or another reason I have a hard time using bling and pearls on the same card, isn't that crazy, LOL??
Wondering what you think about it.
Thanks for stopping by, happy crafting, Anja

EK success dimensional flower punch

There are some new punches from EK out, to make dimensional flowers, I got the carnation one.

At first I wasn't so sure about the punch, to be honest, I had to play with them a little bit. I am not doing it as the instructions say...I tried but didn't like that as much so I watched different You tubes and I decided that I like to use a single strip and roll it around a small paint brush, making sure that the petals don't line up.

I put adhesive on the whole strip on the bottom and I cut the bottom in half, length wise, this way the flower doesn't get as high, which is nice if you want to use it on a card.

This doesn't change the outcome of the flower. I also added some seperate petals with glue at places where I thought it needed it.

I have also played with it in some different ways.......... I actually cut a few strips, then cut out all the petals seperate and applied them with glue around a little punched out circle, that was a lot of work, but the result is a nice flat flower.

Hoping to make some sort of tutorial about it but that is a whole new adventure for me!

For the rest of the card supplies: embossing folder Jo's circles from Craft Concepts, dp from

Pitter Patter Making Memories, swirls from a Marianne die, sentiment from Hero arts, Martha Stewart border punch and pearls made with a Viva magenta pearl pen.

All in all a long post, sorry, I hope it wasn't too boring!

Have a great day, Anja

Sympathy card

Last week I addded wild honey distress ink from Tim Holtz to my collection, what a rich colour, love it. I made this background with wild honey, broken china and tumbled glass distress inks with the blending tool, also from Tim H.

The leaves are a stamp from Rubbernecker and the sentiment is from AmyR.

Butterflies are a die from Cheery Lynn design, so much detail, and they are sprayed with Goosebumps. Soon I am going to need a 3rd bottle!

The dp is from Stella Rose, borderpunch from Martha Stewart and on the top I have used a label from Fancy Labels 3.

This was an easy and quick card, I really like how it turned out, hope you do too!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

For the men in your life!

Happy Friday to all of you!!!

The first week of school is almost over and we are getting used to the routine, the boys love to be back and see all their friends every day.

With 4 boys and a husband, I need to make masculine cards at least a couple of times a year.

I don't know about you, but they are not the easiest, I mean that kind of cards, LOL!

So when I find a set that works....like the set Guiding Light from Flourishes, the set gets good use. For this card I stamped the lighthouse image and coloured it with Prisma's and Gamsol, then I cut it out along the top and kept the bottom straight.

The clouds are made with the stamp from Impression Obsession, clouds, stamped with the mega rock block on a white piece of paper with light blue ink. Then I glued the lighthouse image on the clouds and cut it to size, I have matted it with the second largest die from the large deckled rectangles from Nestabilities.

The seagulls are done with a black Sharpie, there are 2 red mini brads from my stash in the right top corner. The twine is from West Trim Crafts, the sentiment from Just Rite, the set is called

Just Because and has a lot of nice little sentiments.

The white background is done with an embossing folder from Crafts Too, and I also used 2 dies from Sprightly Sprockets of Spellbinders, a must have for masculine cards!!

As always, Sheila carries all those supplies in the best store ever, SGD!!

Have a great weekend, and happy crafting, Anja

Another boat card....

I have made this card at the beginning of the summer and I don't think I posted it.
Hopefully you like boats....there are a couple of "boat" cards the last while and more coming, LOL! No clue from which company this one is, the sentiment is from Close to my Heart and border punches from MS and Making Memories. I don't remember which dp, sorry, not a lot of info, it's been a while.
Have a great day, Anja

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Tomorrow it is my Mom's 70th birthday! So today, after everybody was out of the door, I sat down to make her a card. It felt so good to sit in a quiet house, don't get me wrong, I love my kids dearly but to have some quiet time....wonderful!
I have used the Sunflower set 2 from Spellbinders, an older set but new to me. I cut the flower 6 times, inked up the edges with some orange and started "forming" them with my flower tool kit from Punch a bunch, you can get it at SGD.

It makes your flowers look a lot more real. For the center I wanted to use Flowersoft, but I did not have the right colour......what now, so I used the colour autumn and sprinkled some chocolate re inker on it, let it dry and voila, the right colour.

The big leaves came with the set and the smaller leaves are dies from Marianne.

The border along the bottom is done with a Martha Stewart punch, dp from Kaiser Craft, embossing folders from Cuttlebug, sentiment from Clear Dollar stamps, the tag is made with a punch, ribbon and brads from my stash. And the circles are made with Nestabilities.

I hope my Mom will like it, have a great evening, Anja

Quick elegant card, my post as a DT

Happy Friday to all of you!!! I can't believe it is Labour Day weekend and school is about to start soon..........no more sleeping in or lazy days, oh no, back to routine and schedules.

For me it means a little more time to myself during the day, so I guess I am pretty lucky.

On to my project, I would like to share with you a quick card, you know, for those occasions when you need a card and you just didn't have time to make

I love it, when it doesn't take forever and you end up with an elegant card. The sentiment can be used for so many different occasions, just a little tip, keep the inside blanc till you need it, so you can "customize" it any way.

It was hard to get a good picture because of the glimmer.

Of course all the products used are from SGD and can be found on the website.

The cardstock is all from Bazzil, the base of the card is made with metallic luster.

The front is from Bazzil, wedding pin stripe and I have used a Crafts Concept embossing folder, called butterfly kisses. The big butterfly is made with Martha Stewart's monarch butterfly punch and the sentiment is from Just Rite, just because mini sentiments.

The pearls are made with a Viva pearl pen, ice white. The sentiment is stamped with Versafine ink, olympic green.

So there you have it, simple, quick and elegant. Have a great weekend!

Till next time, Anja

News and a card!!

Good morning, the calendar says September 1 st! Time to start some things up!
Please, go over to the blog from SGD!
They have cooked up something this summer!! I am not gonna say what, take a look yourself, leave a comment, and have a chance to win something!

I am sharing a masculine card with you today, I used my neglected Tombo's and spend some time watercolouring, so relaxing and I love how this image from a Flourishes' set, Guiding Light, turned out.
The green background is done with a embossing folder from Tim Holtz, and I also used the CB dots embossing folder on that little strip of blue, designer paper from October Afternoon, seaside, borderpunch from Fiskar, sentiment from Kaiser craft stamps, silver brads from my stash and the die cuts along the bottom are made with the dies from Spellbinder, Sprightly Sprockets, I must have for masculine cards.

Hope you are enjoying these last days of the summer, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Baby card

I can't believe it's been over a week since I have stamped. Life got in the way, thankfully our son doesn't need surgery at this point, he is doing a lot better. It seems like my mojo is slowly getting back too, I stamped this image from Crafter's companion and watercoloured with my Tombo's.

Hadn't done that in ages and it felt good to play with them again.

The size of this card is 6x6, those bigger images just need a bit more room.

The dp is from My Mind's eye, two borderpunches from Making Memories were used, a small heart one on the bottom and the bigger one across. The little hearts are punched with a little punch that I have had for ages and with the Punch a bunch it is finally a pleasure to use.

The sentiment is from AmyR.

I guess that's all there is to say about this card.

Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Thinking of you

The other day at the all day crop I made this thinking of you card, the stamp is from Just Rite.

The border punches from MS, some Nestabilities and flower punches. It is hard to see in the picture but there is a piece of acetate under the purple layer and things are raised up.

I was hoping that I had more to show but my mojo seems to have left me. I did organize some things in my craft space, I keep running out of room , I wonder how come, LOL!

On a good note , our son seems to be doing a little better every day, we are hoping that no surgery is needed.

Hope your day is going great, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Thank you

This past week has been quite difficult, our oldest son was in an accident and broke his skull in 4 places, his brain is okay and it looks like he is gonna be okay, we are waiting for the next scan next week and we are hoping that no surgery is required. He is home now and needs lots of rest.
Lots of you have been praying and been with us through this so far. Thanks so much!!
Last night I had some time and played with my flowers and made this card for all of you!
Honestly, the picture doesn't do it justice.
All the little flowers are punched out, inked up, shaped, goosebumped and put together.
The embossed background is a folder from Crafts too, theb bigger purple behind the sentiment is a Nestabilitie, Fleur de lis.
Little dots of the pearl pen were put on to finish the flowers.
So again, thank you all for your concerns, it is greatly appreciated!!
I am hoping that the rest of the summer will be soooooooo boring, and I am about to wrap all of my men in bubblewrap, LOL!
Have a great day, Anja

Clean and simple

Yesterday I spend the day at the rubberconvention Heirloom show in NOVI!!!

What a fun we had!! Lots of new stuff, inspiration, shopping, fun, such a wonderful day.

Of course I had to get some new stuff, you can't go all the way to Novi and then come home with nothing, right? But I did "behave", and even the border guys thought we girls all "behaved".

I got my flower tool kit, that was my first purchase for the day and it was on my list, I also learned some new things about making flowers.

So today I had a little time to play, and I made this sympathy card. It took me a while to make it, so I am not sure if the title is correct.

The cream background is embossed with a Quickcutz embossing folder, the sentiment is from

Clear Dollar stamps, flowers from punches and Crealies dies, the greenery is made with some

Marianne dies and a die from CheeryLynn. After I punched the flowers, I inked the edges, used my new shaping tools and put some Pearl mist on it. The middle pearl is done with the Pearl pen.

You will probably see more flower cards soon, you never know.

Thanks for stopping by, Anja

An elegant card today, Just Rite and Martha Stewart pair up nicely, I would say.

The stamps are from Just Rite, Spellbinders, Marianne Dies, MS border and butterfly punch, and some dp from Holland, a little bit of everything and everybody on this card.

Hope you are having a great day, here in Ontario it's a dreary day, some rain, no sun and very humid, so perfect to stay inside and do some crafting.

Thanks for stopping by!

Doily die

Time flies when you are having fun or been busy.... summer is just flying by, I can't believe it is almost August! I don't want to think about snow and cold temperatures but a little cooler or less humidity would be okay...
I always really like the all white cards and I wanted to make one.....I had to add a little colour and this is what I came up with. Love my new die from Cheery Lynn Designs, it cuts a perfect, delicate doily. On top is a tag from Spellbinders and the butterflies are from MS. The sentiment is an old SU favourite, and some bling from my stash, background done with a folder from
Couture Creations.
Have a great day and stay cool, Anja

A bright card with dp from a 6x6 paper pad, Lime twist Happy go Lucky. Lovely papers, all working well together. The sentiment is from Clear Dollar stamps, flowers are from Stampendous, I believe. The flowers are coloured with Prisma's and Gamsol, cut out, goosebumped and popped up, can you still follow me, LOL?

I love how this card turned out, hope you like it too.

It's been sooooooo hot the last days, today it was 36 Celsius and it felt like 44!

Tomorrow is supposed to be another hot day and I am hoping to get some crafting done.

Inkadinkadoo and Stella Rose

A while ago I had to have this set from Inkadinkadoo....might have used it once....

It stamps beautifully with Versafine ink, crisp and clear. For those 2 cards I have used some of Stella Rose's dp, love this colour combo. The sentiments are from Clear Dollar Stamps and Just Rite, punches from EK.

Slowly but steady I am working to fill up my box of cards, so much fun!

Have a great day and thanks for looking!

Sympathy and sweet birthday

Two cards today, I had good intentions to post a card on Saturday but I forgot, so 2 today!

The first card is using some leftover papers from a class and before putting the scraps in my scrap basket.....I made another card. The stamps is from Hero arts, flowers made with punches and sprayed with Goosebumps.

The second card is a sympathy card, I usually make those a bit more simple and so is this one.

Stamps from Clear Dollar stamps and AmyR, the greenery on the top right corner is from a Marianne die. Borderpunch from Fiskars, some pearls and dp out of my stash.

Today is gonna be a hot day so after some cleaning I will go to the basement to stamp, then spend some time at the pool.....life is good!

Have a great day, and thanks for looking, Anja

Elegant masculine card

The picture is pretty crooked, I guess I should learn how to edit this. But it does show off the nice Sizzix embossing folder on a piece of dp from a stack of DCWV, naturel matstock.
Love the elegant look, it didn't take long at all to make this card. The image is from Heartfelt Creations, sentiment from Clear Dollar stamps, some dots from my basket.
At first I wasn't sure where to put the little sentiment but I am happy at where it is.
Thanks for all the nice comments on my previous card! Love to hear from you!
I had to change some of my settings because I couldn't leave comments on other blogs, it kept directing me back to the log in place, but with the help of a friend, I am good to go now.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

Back to stamping!

It's been a while but it feels good to be stamping!! Our camping trip is over, it was a great time now we are slowly getting in some sort of a summer routine, or that is what I like to think, it means no routine at all. But I am back in my stamp room!!

Today I am sharing an elegant card with you done with Heartfelt Creations stamps, the border punch is from Martha Stewart. The flowers are coloured with Prisma's, cut out and popped up.

I cut out a window and put a second layer underneath (purple). Some bling and liquid pearls to finish it off.

Hope your summer is going well and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Old favourite

Petal prints is a set from SU, this one will always be a favourite. So today I did ink it up again, and made this card, sentiment is from Just Rite, border punch from Martha Stewart, pretty simple and quick card to make, but I like it, hope you do too.
Have a great day, we are going camping so it will be quiet for a little bit unless I get some pre posting done...you never know, have a great day, Anja

Get well soon, Ingrid!

As you may know, Canada Post is on strike so I can't send this card to my friend in Holland who had surgery but I know she is visiting my blog so......this card is for you, Ingrid!!!
Not very personal but well meant! Good thing that the phone company is not on strike, LOL!
The stamps are from Heartfelt Creations and Just Rite, dp from Basic Grey, some punches and a tag from Grommet Tags. The border punch is from Martha Stewart. The idea with the greenery around the flower is not from myself, saw that at other peoples blogs, fun effect and easy to do.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

Much better.....

Today I sat down to make a Father's day card for my dh and it went so much better. A center step card, I think that's how you call it, easy to do and such a nice effect. I have no clue from which company the boat stamp is, it is one of those single stamps, I bought it at the show in Novi a couple of years ago. The birds are from Clear Dollar Stamps, the sentiment from Stampendous, Labels 5 from Nestabilities and some of the new twine, oh and the punches for the sentiment are from Stamping Up. Paper from a 6x6 pack of Kaisercraft, Jungle Bug.

So I am ready for tomorrow now I have to work on a graduation card for our youngest, that's on Monday, lotsssssss of time, LOL!

Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by, Anja

What a struggle!

I have made a card today and I am posting it, LOL! No matter what.....it was a struggle to make this card, deep sigh, 3 times I had to make the main panel, I managed to get orange ink on the first try, second try I messed up the birds, yes, that tiny little stamp!
I can't say I am happy with this card but I wanted to post something, so I did, LOL!
My mojo seems to have left me, hopefully it comes back soon, I sit in my craft room, surrounded by a lot of nice stuff and I can't come up with a card, grrr. Oh well, tomorrow is another day and after all, it is just a card. Have a great evening, Anja

Wedding card

I am ready to go to a wedding, all dressed up and high heels on....only thing missing is my dear farmer....finishing up planting the last beans. It has been a difficult planting season, too wet.
So thankfully it is a late wedding so we still have time to make it. We can have fun at the wedding and be glad that everything is planted.
On to the card...this picture doesn't do this card justice, it gets a little better if you click on it.
I have used paper with a pearl finish and embossed it, I wanted to keep the card elegant and in the colours of the wedding. Sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo. Nestabilities and some Marianne design dies.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Penny Black birthday

After I had finished this card last night, I wasn't sure if I was gonna post it....this morning it looked a lot better, LOL! It looks like I didn't do any stamping this week but I did, just things I can't show yet. This image is from Penny Black, watercoloured with Tombo's, a long time ago.... I am honestly trying to use what is in my room....but I also went on a shopping trip and yes, I added more, so I guess, I can't win, LOL!
The dp is from Stella Rose, My Mind's eye, sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps, Nestabilities, grass border punch from MS, SU label punch, ribbon and bling from stash. The little flower is a silk one, I put a few layers together and added the brad. The colour was just perfect.
My middle sister with her youngest son are gonna be visiting from Holland for a week, looking forward to spend time with them, I am hoping to get some posts pre set.
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Something old, something new...

Another card out of my box with leftovers, this was a card from a class a while ago and I changed it up a little bit. The cupcake is from Just Rite and the sentiment from SU.
The icing is glittered up and to top it off, some pink bling.
I still can't see the bottom of the box....it makes you think....will I ever use all the paper??
Oh well, you never know, LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Joy Craft butterflies and more...

I am working on some thank you cards, since the end of the school year is coming up, I am gonna try to be organized this year,LOL!
The background is done with Tim Holtz distressing inks, love how easy they are to play with.
The stamps are from Technique Tuesday, the sentiment from Hannah stamps, the flowers are made with some punches and some Joy craft dies. The butterflies are from Joy Craft too, I cut them out and sprayed Goosebumps over them, it makes them nice and crisp. Well, the rest of the card is pretty basic, a CB embossing folder for the background and some Nestabilities.
And let's not forget the bling in the middle from the Dollar store.
Thanks for stopping by today, Anja

Purple flowers

I am still playing with some leftovers, so for now I think my new pink is purple, LOL!
Here I have used an old SU favourite, In full bloom, stamped the flowers twice, coloured them with Prisma's and Gamsol, I then cut them out and popped them up. The little thank you is a stamp I got years ago, no clue who made it but I like the size. For the centre of the flowers I used some Flowersoft, I do have a couple of jars, but I really don't use it a lot, don't know why....
The border punch along the side is from Martha Stewart and I used some different Nestabilities.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Happy Father's Day!

Father's day is coming up and since I have heard rumours that Canada Post might go on strike...my card is ready to go in the mail, well, after the long weekend.
So this card is for my Dad, and he lives in Holland, so hopefully the mail will get there.
I have used kraft paper and chocolate chip, I stamped the background with Weathered from SU and then on top of that I stamped some images from the set It's about time, also from SU.
The sentiment is from Kaiser Craft and the dies are from Spellbinders, Sprightly Sprockets.
After I had this all done, I got my little bottle with Goosebumps, from Tsukineko, and I sprayed some of this on top of the whole card. I love the look of it, it almost looks like leather.
Hope you like my card too, have a great weekend, Anja

Thinking of you

A thinking of you card with leftovers again, and it doesn't even make a dent in that big box.....
So there is not much to tell, a MS borderpunch for the top and bottom, the green piece is a die from Cuttlebug, stamp from Just Rite and flowers....the green leaves are dies from Holland, love those.
I call this a purple/green card, but I think it is pretty close to pink...
Thanks for looking, take care, Anja

Going purple with a CAS card

A very purple card today, and a pretty quick and simple one.
The middle piece and the corners are die cuts, they were in my leftover box too, no clue where they came from.
And I can not seem to stop playing with my flower punches...soon I will have a leftover box with paper flowers, LOL!
Have a great day, Anja
