Greeting farm girl

It took me a while to finish this card, so many times I sat down at my table and the phone would ring or somebody else needed me......So I got lots of time to think about it, LOL!
The girl is from Greeting Farm and the sentiment from Close to my Heart, the dp from DCWV.
Of course I had to use my Nestabilities, MS borderpunch and a label punch, the flowers, bling and ribbon are from my collection. The girl is watercoloured with Tombo's and she has some stickles on her dress.
The card matches the weather here, sunny and bright, I am happy with it.
Hope your day is going great, thanks for stopping by, Anja

More for CIC 13

Another card for CIC 13, you can still play too, it's an awesome challenge, go check it out HERE.
Flowers are my favourite so I had to play again. I see other people use the fancy tags from Spellbinders this way and I wanted to try it too. The flower stamp is from Clear Dollar Stamps from the set Charlie Daisy and the sentiment from Cool ride. It really helps if you have an iventory of your stamps.....to see what you have, sometimes you don't get to use the other fun stamps that come with a set, like this flower that comes with a Charlie set.
The white little dots are made with liquid pearl and the butterflies have a dot of light blue stickles in the center.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

Soft, cool colours for CIC 13

It was so nice to sit and play in the cool basement after a day of being outside for track and field. We had an awesome day, lots of personal bests and cheering for each other, but warm it was.
This card is for CIC 13, check out the details here you'll have till June 3!!!
I am planning to submit some more flower cards, you know I love them.
I went through my collection from Clear Dollar Stamps and came up with this, the leaves and sentiment are from the set Silhouette Wishes and the flower is from Charlie Daisy. For the colours I have picked celery with cameo, the background is made with an embossing folder with flowers ( now I can't think of the company, isn't it Craft...), a MS punch for the borders, a brad, bling and ribbon from my collection and Nestabilities for the shape. The little flower in the center is made with a little punch.
I am happy how the card turned out! Hope you like it too!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Another anniversary card!

Teenage boy

A card for a teenage boy....I better get used to it, LOL!
I need one for tonight so I spent some time downstairs, it's not my best card but I hope it will do.
The guy is from Greeting Farm and I have coloured him with Prismacolour pencils and gamsol, dp from my leftover bin, no clue who made it.
The rest is pretty basic.
I am hoping to finish my big book of stamps this week......I am still working on that, and also that this week will be a better week. Maybe we can have a plain normal week, even a boring one would be great, LOL!
Thanks for stopping by, take care, Anja

Happy Anniversary!

This week a lot happened, it was busy to begin with but other things happened too. Without going into too much detail....let's talk about the card.
This card is for a friend, who is leaving this weekend to go on a nice trip, I know, I am too late to give her the card before she goes, but she understands.........
The stamp is from CC design, and the sentiment from Inkadinkadoo. The dp is from DCWV, the corner die from CB, the flower and border made with MS punches, some stickles and Nestabilities and the lace is from Fabricland.
And you probably know by now that the cute couple is watercoloured with Tombo's.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

CDBC#5, Sarah Kay girl

On this Monday morning I am looking at our calendar is this week and it's pretty full, with appointments to go to, stone picking, dentist check ups, track and field day, getting new chickens, my dh is a model in a fashion show for a fundraiser and I am his dresser, lots of fun things not the stone picking but that's the time of the year, sigh.
So I am not sure how much stamping time there will be left, but today I have a card to share.
It's for the challenge over at Laurie's blog, and you are to use blue and green on your main image and you can use other colours in your card. I think I stretched the challenge a bit....you can read the details here.
The girl from Sarah Kay is watercoloured with Tombo's, the dp is from DCWV and the sentiment from Hero Arts. I have added a tiny bit of stickles on the bows in her hair and the flowers in her hand.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

Here comes the bride...

Over at SGD they have some really great deals going on, go on over and check it out! This cute stamp is just one of them. How can you resist that!!
This card is for a wedding shower and I have stamped Emma with versafine on regular white paper, carefully used my brush with twinkling H2O's to give her some colour and shine. Her dress is done with some pearly white, hard to see in the picture. You can't use too much water, but it will work. After she dried, I cut her out and put the card together. With the help of some punches from MS and EK,Nestabilities, the label punches from SU, and to top it off some stickles and ribbon from my box.
The card is already sold, that's the part I love, when people buy my cards!
Hope you are having a great day, thanks for looking, Anja

Same flower...

This flower was still laying around my desk, so I decided to use it again.
Artichoke and almost amythyst this time. The flower is watercoloured with Tombo's and stickled up after it was dry.
The sentiment is from Close to my Heart. Borderpunch from MS and the fancy tag is from Nestabilities.
I am also working on some challenges....I need a little bit more time before I can post them.
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Happy Father's day

Lucky for me, I found this new set from Just Rite in Novi, it's called by the Sea and I got the last one. It was one of the things I wanted to look for.
It's a great set for masculine cards, you know the hard ones, LOL!
I have stamped this image on watercolour paper and watercoloured it with Tombo's.
The one borderpunch is from MS and the chain one is a new one from EK. It cuts it out like this,
great for this card. The seagulls (spelled right?) are from CDS, I had a lot of space still to fill so I found them easily in my very organized stamp book, LOL!
I was tempted to add some stickles but decided not to do it.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Baby card

After spending the day in Novi and surroundings, I got so many new ideas..... and some new stuff! ( The organizing is going great, I am working on my clear stamps and that's the biggest pain to do but the rest is mostly done.)
Yesterday I made this baby card, the paper is from DCVW and the cute, little stamp from Basic Grey. The borderpunch is from Fiskars, sentiment from SU.
Simple layout, I didn't want to cover up the dp too much. I am happy with this card, hope you like it too.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Just letting you know.....

Just letting you know why I am not stamping...........I am organizing, and I mean big time organizing.
Weeks ago I did my ribbon, love the way it is now and I also started stamping all my stamps in a binder...............then I quit because I was I bit overwelmed................but now I am finishing it.
Can you believe it, ALLLLLLLLLLLLL my stamps stamped in one binder???
And tomorrow a bus full of ladies is going to Novi and I am one of them.
Perfect way to start Mother's day weekend.
Wishing you all a great Mother's day weekend, take care, Anja

Happy Anniversary!

I found this cute little stamp right here in my own craft room, how fun! I have coloured it with
glitter pens and Tombo's, stayed away from anything pink and finished the card,LOL!
I am happy with this one and very relieved that I don't have to give up stamping!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Where did my mojo go?

I sit at my table surrounded by lots of nice stamps, paper, embellishments, punches, different colours..................and all I can come up with is pink again and flowers, grrrr.
Maybe my creativity is taking some time off.....I know it happens to all of us some times.
So I guess I'll hang in there and see what happens.
Hope your day is going well, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Gloria's blogcandy

Go over to Gloria's blog and check out how you can win this awesome blogcandy! She is a great artist, have fun checking out her blog!
Take care, Anja

Hope you like pink..........

Hopefully you like pink as much as I do.......I had so many ideas flowing through my head but it didn't really come out.........all I came up with was pink and flowers again, sigh, sigh.
A long time ago I had made a similar card, though it was in purple and green , so not even the design is anything new. Oh well, I searched through my own old blog posts and at least I made a card.
The laundry is calling my name, loud and clear, so I guess I better go.........
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Pink, flowers and a new punch...

Yesterday we had a lot of fun celebrating National Scrapbook Day at SGD!!
I even had some time to shop myself.....I got one of the new EK punches, the flower one.
So pretty, love it! I can't show you a picture of the make and take I did, they are all gone and I even gave the sample away at the end of the day. It was a Mother's day card in pretty colours. pink, purple and olive green. I do have some scraps of paper left, maybe I'll make a card with those.
Today is a much needed quiet day and I took some time to make a card. The flower is from Clear Dollar stamps, coloured with prismacolours and Gamsol.
I can't remember from whom the sentiment is.
Hope you are having a great day too, thanks for stopping by, Anja

CIC12, wedding wishes......again.....

This card is for CIC 12, it's all about ribbon and you can find details HERE
This was not really what I had in my mind for this challenge but time is running out.
Most of my cards have ribbon on them so I guess they could all "qualify". I promise I am done making wedding cards for now....
The stamp is from MSE, borderpunch from MS, Nestabilities, little heart punch, some pearls and ribbon from my stash and the dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug.
Hope your day is going well, thanks for stopping by, Anja

More wedding wishes.............

Another wedding card, here I have used the set from Inkadinkadoo. The bg paper is made with the wheel. The flower from Holland, a bow from the ribbon box.........
Hope you like it, no time to write any more, company is coming...........take care, Anja

Tuesday, April 27, 2010

Wedding Wishes

There are no wedding cards left in my box and since "wedding season" is here, I better make some. This is a stamp I have never used, been in my collection for a while, I know, shame on me, LOL!
The pink flower are buttons and I cut off the back to stick them on the card.
I hope I get better at making wedding cards.....I am gonna try, maybe I should go back to flowers.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Soccer Boy

When I go fo a haircut to my wonderful hairdresser Angie, I bring some of my stamps and I get to use hers...............so we sit and stamp and talk and smile.............it can't get any better than that!! So this is one of her collection, a cute soccer boy from Stampavie.
I have watercoloured him with Tombo's and the soccer ball is popped up. I love this one!
There is a whole bunch of cute and fun images ready to be coloured, I have lots now so I put them all in a file....now all I need is time, just like most of us, LOL!
Hope your day is going well, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Friday, April 23, 2010

Having fun in my craft room....

Yesterday evening I went through my container with some leftovers and pre cut pieces, I have lots of those and came up with this card. The stamp set is from Clear Dollar Stamps, it's called Bitty Botanicals and one of my favourites. The sentiment is from Hanna stamps, the border punch from MS. I had actually never used this one but I really like how you can put the glitter dots along the line.
Today is a busy day here at the farm so I better get going. The good news is that the corn is in!!!
That makes my farmer really happy!
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Happy Mother's day

Mother's day is just around the corner so here is a Mother's day card! This PB image is very easy to colour, again I did it with prismacolours and Gamsol. I like it that the new images are a bit bigger that makes it easier. The rest of the card/layout is pretty basic and of course I had to add some stickles and flowers.
This was the only sentiment I could find in my room for this day but I know I have more........
Happy Earth Day today! I am cleaning with my eco friendly, no chemical cleaning stuff!
No, it doesn't make the cleaning fun but let's say I could use the exercise, LOL!
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Keeping it in the brown tones.....

Last week I got this cute image from Stampavie and my plan was to keep it in the brown tones and I pulled out this dp from Basic Grey to go with it.....I am not sure if my plan worked..... I kept working on it, adding the punched border, the bling and the flowers.
The flowers are made with the dies from Crealies. Some sponging was added.
And now it's done!! I have coloured with prismacolour pencils and Gamsol, since I made my pencil holder/thing it's so easy to take it to the kitchen table and colour away...ha, ha, my boys make fun of me but that's okay.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

3D sympathy card

On Splitcoast there is a tutorial about 3D stamping by Beate, I had to try it out and I almost copied her card. It's easy and a it gives a really nice effect!
I have used Close to Cocoa, white and some blue out of my scrap bin, for inks I have used baja breeze and white craft , usually I keep the sympathy cards more clean and simple but not this one. If you change the sentiment it would also be nice for a birthday card............I am gonna try that today if a get a change.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

Sunday, April 18, 2010

One more shower card....

I got carried away with those colours and making shower cards......they were made for someone else and I am glad she liked them. The colours are very unusual for me so it took me a while and now I can't seem to stop, LOL!
But I promise this is the last one....I have used an old favourite flower from SU and I also added silver paper to the mix. From all the shower cards in those colours , this one is my favourite, I still love the
flowers/bling/ribbon cards.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Penny Black baby card

Don't you love those Penny Black images, they are so cute!!
It was so much fun to make this card, I have coloured the image with Prismacolour pencils and Gamsol and I wanted to make the card for either a boy or a girl so I choose yellow and lilac together. I haven't used buttons on my card in a long, long time, never really got the hang of it but I like it this way. I have a pair of yellow, knitted babysocks to go with this card. And of course some stickles and bling were added, what would a girl do without her bling, LOL!
The sentiment is from SU, I guess that's all what there is to say about this card.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Friday, April 16, 2010

Shower card

A shower card in burgundy and royal blue.... I have added silver and white to make it pop. I think it turned out okay, those are not my favourite colours but it's not all about me, LOL!!
This are the colours for the wedding so I went with them.
Today is another beautiful here in South Western Ontario, shorts and t shirts, enjoy it it if you have a change, and for the people in Southern Alberta, hang in there, the snow should be gone soon.
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

CAS, sending smiles to all of you!

Some old favourite stamps and a clean and simple look, that's what this card is all about. It's strange to make a card and not having to colour anything. I keep looking at this one, I think it's okay, just different.
So I am sending smiles to all of you today, have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

CIC11, bold colours

Slowly working my way through a pile of pre stamped, cute images.
This one I have used to participate in CIC 11, check it out here.
Clear Dollar stamps has a new line with coordinating cardstock and ribbon and the Copic and Tombo markers to go with it. The challenge was to use cherry go round, lime juice and bee pollen, I don't have their cardstock (yet) but I do have the Tombo's to go with those colours so I have used those to colour the cute girl. I then build my card around it. Of course I had to use some stickles. I don't use those bold colours very often but I am happy with the card.
Go check it out and play too, it's fun!
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Just Rite Congratulations!

This picture is not the greatest, sorry! The card looks way better IRL.
It's for a wedding shower and those are the colours I was asked to use, it's an ordered card, love those!
The image is from Just Rite, sentiment from CTMH, I have used my prismacolour pencils and gamsol, some beads and in the centre a rhine stone, some silver stickles to give the final touch.
I am happy with this card hope the lady likes it too.
Have a great day, Anja

Monday, April 12, 2010

What shall I call this one?

I am not very creative in thinking of a catching title for a blog post every time.......and life has been very busy here the last couple of days....I missed a post yesterday, oh well, I have one today. This is another cute image I got from a friend, I also got the idea from her to put the sentiment in the balloon. Watercoloured with Tombo's and stickled up as usual, I would say.
It's almost bedtime for my boys, at least that's what I think, I am fighting to keep my eyes open and will go to bed when they go.....I really need to catch up on some sleep, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Playing with some leftovers

Last week I took care of the Make and Take at SGD and we made an easel card, stamping some images like this. There were some leftovers and I made this card with it.
I do like those two colours together!
The stamps are from Amy R and the sentiment from Close to my Heart, MS butterfly punch and the silver little butterflies are actually beads.
And of course some diamond stickles were added...............
Thanks for looking, take care, Anja

CDBC 4, Penny Black baby card

Penny Black keeps coming out with those cute images! I can't resist them!
This card is for the challenge over at Lauri's blog, CDBC 4, the challenge is to use dry embossing and the colour yellow on your card. I coloured the image with prismacolour pencils and Gamsol, stickled it up , cut it out and then put it on the Nestabilitie square.
The sentiment is from Verve stamps, and some bling from....
MS punch was used for the borders on the bottom and the top.
Go on over and check out the challenge yourself, while you can see all Lauri's beautiful creations!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

To post or not to post....

So you make a card, using unusual colours for you, it looks way better in real life than in this horrible picture, what do you do , do you post it or not???
The image is cute, a Penny Black one, coloured with prismacolours and Gamsol, stickled up a lot, waaaaaaaaay too much.............
The purple stickles look awful in the picture...............see, I posted it. That's all I have to say about this one..............
Have a great day, Anja

P.S. I did finish the cover for my Tombo's! All my good creativity must have gone into the sewing, LOL!

Sewing, and no card......again

Today I am showing you the reason for not having a card to share...I have been sewing. I have made this cover/holder for my prismacolour pencils and tools.
I also made a colour chart and they are all in chronological order. Today I am sewing one for my Tombo's...........so nice to be organized. Yesterday I also learned how to drive the four wheeler, no pictures about that but you have probably heard me screaming, LOL! It's hard to keep up with the boys!
Hopefully tomorrow I will have a card to share, thanks for stopping by, I am back to my sewing machine, Anja

Wish big!

Happy Easter to all of you! Hope your day is gonna be great.
We are off to church and then spending the day with friends at our house. We will have a big meal together, it smells pretty good in my kitchen.
I do have a card to share with you today. The image from CC design is watercoloured with Tombo's, sentiment from Penny Black. The flowers are made with a Nestabilitie die.
I have kept it pretty simple. The border is another MS punch.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Dutch sentiment card

I found some Dutch sentiments stamps online and decided to order them,
they come in handy when I wanna sent a card to Holland. Most people can understand the English sentiments but it's nice to be able to use the Dutch language. So this one says Greetings in Dutch. The flower is from Inkadinkadoo, coloured with Prismacolour pencils and gamsol.
I have combined different Nestabilities as you can see. Some stickles were added, some pearls from the Dollarstore and I did some sponging. A MS punch along the top and the bottom , the swiss dot CB folder and the scorpal to make the lines above the punch.
If you are interested in some Dutch sentiment stamps, I got them here: www.hobbystempels.nl
The service is super friendly, and super quick within a week I had them here.
I would like to wish everybody a Happy Easter and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Onesie card with pink booties

I have tried my hand on a onesie card and this is the result.
Kind of cute, I think. After I finished the card I pulled out my knitting needles and made a pair of pink booties ( is that the right word) to go with the card. It all did fit together in the envelope.
It's another beautiful day here and we just came back from church, my men are going to the Good Friday Sale in town, bear with me what they bring home this time, LOL.
My MP3 player is charging and I am going for a long walk, a good time to think up some new card ideas.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Elegant Easter Blessings

Today I am cheating on you, this is actually an old design from me, my Easter card from 2 years ago.....I am gonna sent it to somebody who hasn't seen this and anything new didn't really happen today, sigh, one of those days.
The sentiment is stamped on vellum and hold in place with the brads. Underneath is a piece stamped with Penny Black flowers. Simple and easy, I like the elegant look.
I am off picking up the boys from school, enjoy the sunshine or whatever weather you are having, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Missing you

Did anybody miss me? I had a great time scrapbooking, 37 layouts done!!
I am missing our oldest son, who is in Alberta for a couple of months, so I made him a card.
The owl is coloured with prismacolour pencils and gamsol. Sentiment, ribbon and punch from SU, I don't know the name of the owl set, I got it at the garage sale. Borderpunch from MS, CB and scorpal background. Red pearls from the Dollarstore and Nestabilities of course.
How did we make cards before Nestabilities and Cuttlebug??
The sentiment is popped up, I guess that's all there is to tell about this card.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day, Anja

Simple sympathy card

Inkadinkadoo flowers watercoloured with Tombo's and a sentiment from SU. I haven't used the colour apricot in a long time, it goes very nicely with the green.
I kept the card pretty simple, I have to say that I am pleased how the colouring of the flowers turned out and no stickles this time, LOL!
Nothing more to say about this one, better get back to getting ready for my scrapbook weekend starting tomorrow morning, yippee!
Have a great day, thanks for looking, Anja

Did I mess up?

My scrapbooking stuff is almost all packed for the weekend coming up, I am looking forward to work on my albums, they have been somewhat neglected.......This girl is from Greeting Farm, watercoloured with Tombo's and paper from Basic Grey. I am not sure what I was thinking when I did what I did with the sentiment....it looks....interesting? Or maybe I shouldn't have done it this way.....but then it was already glued on.....didn't wanna rip the dp.....oh, decisions, decisions.... And I really liked the rest of the card. Did I mess it up?
Let's say it was a nice try, LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for looking, don't hesitate to tell me how you think this card turned out, take care, Anja

Happy birthday with C.C. design rubber stamps

This morning I got a couple of images coloured and this is one of them. The set is from C.C. design rubber stamps, I bought it at the garage sale. The flowers are punched out of glitter cardstock, the image is watercoloured with Tombo's. It was fun and it turned out as a good card, I think.
The red ribbon was easily found in my all organized ribbon box, LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

An old favourite!

I don't have a lot of inspiration today, probably because I am getting ready for a scrapbookweekend. So I picked out an old favourite stampset and used some spring colours to make this easy Easter card. Stamps from SU, sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps.
The weather has certainly changed here, it's a lot cooler and very windy and raining.
It would have been nice to have winter done and over with! But it's perfect to be in the basement and sort through paper and pictures.
Hope you have some time to stamp today, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Sunday, March 21, 2010

Back to my flowers for now.....

Back to a flower card for now... this stamp was also one of the treasures I found last week at all the stamping garage sales. It's really nice for colouring, prismacolour pencils and gamsol were used. So there is a lot of variety in my assortment of stamps, LOL!
This is for a lady from church, she is going to chemotherapy and she loves flowers.
Hopefully this card will bring a smile to her face.
I am sitting at the computer with my coffee enjoying the peace and quiet in my house, soon the boys will be up, they better be , we are going to church and then we are off visiting friends.
Have a great day, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Casing myself!

Since I really liked the layout of the other Greeting Farm girl card I decided to use it again, switched things a little bit. Those stamps are so much fun to colour, I have used prismacolour pencils with Gamsol. I am really falling in love with all those cutesie images!!! Might be dangerous, LOL! So many things to try and not enough time.
Hope you are having a great day, thanks for looking, Anja
