C4C350, sketch challenge!

Happy Saturday! It's the third Saturday of the month and that means it's SKETCH challenge over at the CRAZIES.

I love a SKETCH challenge, it takes the guess work out of your card making. For my card I used one of  my many embossing folders....I really found some nice ones in my box, lol. And I went through some of my designer paper....and I used some ribbon!!

The flower pot is drawn by ME.... I am pretty happy how it  turned out! The idea of this card came from the Art Impressions website, I watched a you tube and tried to copy this card. Sentiment from Just Rite.

Watercolouring with the Art Impression stamps is very easy and relaxing, on their website you can find a ton of tutorials!!

C4C349, Back to school!

It is Saturday! Challenge time over at the CRAZIES!! This week the theme is back to school......

I don't really make back to school cards, lol, so I went to my CAMEO and cut out this frame.

The background is done with acrylic paints and an old gift card, some stars and dots were added. The circles are stamped on with acrylic paint as well. No clue who made the sentiment.....it was the only one is my big stash that was fitting!

C4C348, Olympic colours!

Happy Saturday! I missed the CRAZY challenge last Saturday, time got away on me, but today I am in!

The challenge is to use olympic colours or a sports theme, you can find it all HERE.

Normally I don't go for these colours so a challenge it was, lol, I have used a stamp set from Scrappy Cat, which I have had forever and never used before. I stamped the flowers on coloured cardstock and cut them out. The background is a dot stamp from Altenew, heat embossed in black. Sentiment is also from Altenew and popped up, silver Viva pearls in the hearts of the flowers.The leaves are done with a Martha Stewart punch, some green sequins to finish it off.

C4C 345, sketch challenge!

Sketch challenge over at the CRAZIES. It makes it easier to design a card, just follow the sketch.

One of my many crafting plans is to use my designer paper, lol, I have a whole bunch of the mini pads.....such nice papers....but hardly use them. I don't think I ever have enough time to use it all up...

But I did for the sketch, the flower is Penny black,  coloured with pencils and I put some crystal effect on top, sentiment from Just Rite.

Day 10....I am falling a bit behind on the colouring challenge, no big deal, good thing there are no rules, lol. You can find the challenge HERE

Day 8, I did colour this Rosewood rose again with my Derwent colorsoft pencils, no time to make it into a card, hopefully soon....You can find the challenge HERE

The mess in my craft room is so big, I might have to clean up first before I can even find anything....

Day 7, a little bit of colouring....

Day 7 of the 30 day color challenge, you can find it HERE.

I missed yesterday...and had plans to post early today, well, that did not happen but I did colour a little bit. The flower is part of a Magnolia stamp, coloured with pencils, and cut out. The background is watercolour paper with some yellow brusho's. When it was still a bit wet, I stamped the Altenew leaves with forest moss distress ink, and because the paper was still wet, you get a bit of the watercolour look. The sentiment was cut with the Silhouette.

Day 5, pencils on black cardstock....

Happy Saturday! Some simple colouring today for the COLOR CHALLENGE, I have used pencils on black cardstock with some crystal effects on top. The derwent coloursoft pencils go on very easy on the black but the picture is not showing that all so well....

If you are looking for the CRAZIES card.....I posted that here on my blog a couple days ago as I used it for this challenge... I am trying to stay on top on all the things I want to do, lol, but sometimes Real Life messes that up, you can all probably relate to that! Oh well, such is life!

Day 3, For you!

I used my Derwent colour soft pencils again to colour this rose from Rosewood, such a beautiful stampstamp, embossing folder from Anna Griffith, sentiment from Just Rite, die from Nellie Snellen.

I added some stickles to the rose, have to  have some sparkle, lol.

Color burst and brusho background for Day 2!

Day 2 of the colour challenge, you can find it HERE, I had fun playing with color burst and brusho powders. The flower is a Impression Obsession stamp and the sentiment from Stampendous, and see I messed up my black Viva dots....

I used the Misti to stamp the flower and versafine black, so nice that you can ink up different times till you like it and always in the same spot!!

The frame is from Nellie Snellen. Hope you like it!

Off to a good start...

Day 1 of the colouring challenge and I even finished the card, so I am off to a good start. I have a whole pile of stamped images ready to be coloured so that I can stay on track!

This stamp is from Penny Black, I coloured it with Derwent coloursoft pencils in the colours as they show on the package, sentiment from My Favorite Things, die from Nellie Snellen. I added some stickles and Viva pearl dots.

Joining the colouring fun!

 

On July 5th there is a new challenge starting, all about taking some time to colour every day.....no stress, nothing that needs to be done, just taking some time for yourself ,  even if it's only 5 minutes a day. Sounds good, right? I think it's a great idea and I am planning to do this!

There really are no rules, all about enjoying to colour with whatever medium you like!

Happy Saturday! It's challlenge time over at the CRAZIES, this time you are asked to use a light house, you can find all the details HERE

It took me a while to colour this card, with derwent colorsoft pencils, the stamp is from Flourishes, but I made the scenery bigger by adding some hills and the rocks (stampscape) on the front, I also added some lines to make more water. At last I added the reeds and the seagull on the pole.

Sentiment is from Impression . A friend retired this week, so I gave the card to him.

Since I have been looking for some lost things in my craft room( still can't find what I am looking for) I came across some stencils I cut with the Silhouette...

My colour bursts were on my desk too so I started to play with them together and this is the result.

Time to make a card for the men in your life, the challenge over at the CRAZIES is masculine!

With Father's Day around the corner, it is perfect timing. I found this cut out at the Silhouette, coloured the sun and the boat with markers and made a background with distress inks. Sentiment from Just Rite.

I love flowers, and I got this beautiful peony from Altenew, coloured with watercolours. Fussy cut and paired up with some blue and purple. Sentiment from my stash.

The leaves are done with a variety of punches and dies (Marianne Design).

Thank you card for C4C338.

It's Saturday,  a very hot day here in Ontario!! Today the challenge over at the CRAZIES is to make a (teacher) thank you card. Our kids are now all adults, I can't believe it myself while I am writing this, so I made a "normal" thank you card. For the background I used the Kuretake watercolours and I cut out the oval with a nestabilitie. The poppy is from Impression Obsession, heat embossed in this red colour.

Part of the flowers are cut out to fit over the oval. Love those watercolours, they are sooo rich in colour!

C4C337, sketch challenge!

Sketch challenge time over at the CRAZIES. You can find all the info HERE. My computer is acting up...having trouble getting this post up and going.

Anyhow, about the card...I got the idea at a card class and used it in a different way here. You stamp the poppies (IO) on the vellum and heat emboss them, they are coloured from the back with tombos and a blender pen. Sentiment from Just Rite, some more vellum and shiny cardstock.

It is challenge time over at the CRAZIES, this time we are asked to use a white flower on your card, you can find the details HERE.

I used a Penny Black stamp. heat embossed it in white on watercolour paper, then I added some liquid metal purple colour burst and some regular purple colour burst. Added more water, dabbed it up, sprayed a little more....till I liked it, or actually till I could still see the flower lol. I then stamped a script stamp lightly over it and added the sentiment. It was fun play time!

C4C335, emerald green

Good Morning! Seeing lots of emerald green today in our challenge over at the CRAZIES.

You can find it HERE.

I made a panel with Brusho emerald green and let it dry overnight, the next day I stamped this Magenta flower on it and embossed it with a pearl deep blue embossing powder. 

Sentiment is from Just Rite. There is a thin strip of mirri board in green along the panel, and the cream left side is popped up over the green side.

C4C333, Spring Flowers!

Happy Saturday! April showers bring May flowers, but at the CRAZIES we would like us to us some flowers here in April. You can find the challenge HERE.

I got this cute stencil with the flowers and I taped it to a piece of watercolour paper.

With a sponge I put on some distress inks, peeled paint, dusty concord and faded jeans, spritzed with water, dabbed some up, sprinkled some brusho powder through the flower part, more pearalized water, more dabbing. The perfect pearls in the water will give you a nice shine.

After it was dry, I took the stencil away, added the script and  some sponging. I also went around the flowers with a fine tip black pen to get back some of the detail. Sentiment from Altenew.
