I stamped this Penny Black flower after inking it up with distress inks, I splattered on some dots and used a shiny background. The shiny stuff is hard to photograph.
I switched the circle to the other side....Hope you like it, till next time, Anja

Happy Anniversary!

Today is Saturday and I completely forgot to make a card for the CRAZIES.......but I did make one for my sisters anniversary..... I got me some bister and colourbursts! A girl can never have enough supplies, lol, the products are slightly different and I love it all!!This background is done with the new colour bursts from Ken Oliver. The red leaves are sponged on with barn door distress ink. At first I could not decide what colour I should use for the butterfly...I cut a red one but then decided on the  black one with a red background.

The same stamp....

Sorry, ladies, you would think I owe only one stamp, lol. But I can't get enough of this Magenta stamp and I needed another thank you card. The background is different...I used some acrylic paints, put them on my craft sheet and added a bit of water, I then pulled my watercolour paper through it and dabbed it with a paper towel. I went back in with a wet papertowel and some yellow paint. So simple and I love the effect.

Hello Ladies! The challenge this week at the CRAZIES is to put eyes on your card......I had to really think about it....My silhouette came to the rescue, I cut the glasses and the letters, the flower is a memory box die and for the dot on the i, I used googlie eyes ( not sure if thats the correct name).

Playing with watercolours!

A bright birthday card for a friend! I have been trying different things with some Koi Watercolours...for this card I started out with a piece of watercolour paper, spritzed it wet and started to apply 3 different colours, while still wet, I used a sponge to get some texture.

The stamp is from Magenta, I have used it a lot lately, it's just so pretty,  I think. Sentiment from Just Rite.

C4C 280, a daisy card!

Hello Friends! Saturday means a new challenge over at the CRAZIES. The flower of the month April is a Daisy, so that's the challenge, use a daisy on your card/project.

I couldn't  find my daisy dies......my craft room is a bit of a disaster, lol. The Silhouette helped me out, I made the background with watercolours and then I sprayed pearl glimmermist over it, once it was dry, I added a few dots, the sentiment and the cut out daisy. Love the Spring colours!

C4C 274, it's sketch time!

It's sketch time at the Crazies, who doesn't love a good sketch? For me, sketches are very helpful!

This time, I used a Magenta stamp and put my markers on them, sprayed with water and stamped onto watercolour paper. Let it dry!Then I put more marker on the stamp and gave it a little spritz of water and stamped again. I added some light blue around the flowers. Sentiment is from Clear Dollar stamps.

C4c 273, a "royal" Valentine's card......

Happy Valentine's Day! This week at the Crazies we have another fun challenge for you. You can check it out HERE. Amethyst is the colour this week, a royal colour.  I dived into my overflowing bucket with small designer paper packs....and came up with those papers. I cut the hearts from Nestabilities and a Joy craft die, the little hearts are from a punch. Sentiment from Just Rite, and a EK borderpunch. Some ribbon and bling to finish it off.

A quick little card...

Playing with my Silhouette! I see so many beautiful new word dies coming by......since I have the Silhouette, I made my own....The frame is also from the Silhouette, butterfly from Martha Stewart, and paper from Memory Box. I did pop up the whole panel. And the good thing is, the card is already delivered to a friend.

It is opposite day....so make a card with opposites on it. I choose big and small flowers....the sentiment is from Paper Smooches. The flowers are cut with the Silhouette and the label too. I added some silver stickles to the center of the flowers and a strip of shiny silver paper.

I went to my huge pile of paper pads, this one is from My mind's eye and turned this into a Valentine card.

The sequins are dark blue, hard to tell in the picture and they are a pain to put on, lol.

The challenge is, if you had to start with a new stamp room and you had you paper and stamps in there...what would be the next "must have" of favourite thing you would put in there....whatever this is for  you, use it on a card. 

Oh my, I don't wanna pick just one...this is too hard, lol, it's like when you have more than one child, you love them all to pieces, not one more than the other, lol.

Just kidding, but I could not pick one. So if I had to pick right now, it would be my Silhouette Cameo, so the background and leaves are cut with the Cameo, and my next choice is dies and punches, so I used an oval Nestabilitie and a butterfly punch from Martha Stewart.

Sentiment is from Just Rite.

Clean and Simple, C4C 267

We are starting the New Year over at the CRAZIES with a clean and simple challenge. You can find all the info HERE.

I started out with a piece of watercolour paper and made a background with some shimmering watercolours, really, so easy by wetting your paper and let the water do the work. Then I took this stamp from Penny Black and embossed it with an emerald green embossing powder. Matted it with a piece of green and put it on the card. I did not put a sentiment on.....I find it handy to keep some cards sentiment free till when I need them, so I can add whatever it is if I am about to use the card.

This is to prevent that I am stressing to make a card last minute,lol, doesn't always work.....

C4C 265, a colour challenge!

A colour challenge today, over at the CRAZIES. And an interesting one, I think, hot pink, coral, turquoise and gold.....I had to think about it for a while.....

This is what I came up with, I used my Tim Holtz spritzer to spritz on some coral, hot pink  and turquoise and I stamped the flower from Unity in turquoise, sentiment from Paper Smooches. I added a gold layer and a ribbon. Check out what the other design team members came up with and join us,if you like!

C4C264, Square dance day!

Saturday was here before I knew it.....almost forgot to make a card.....The challenge today over at the Crazies is , it's world Square Dance day....you can find the details HERE.

The Silhouette came to my rescue, I know, this couple is not square dancing but actually ballroom dancing.

The card is square and the frame is cut with Nestabilities Fleur des Lis with black, shiny cardstock, the couple is also cut with the shiny, black paper. The sentiment is done with a sketch pen in the Silhouette, love that feature. A light blue bow and some sparkles and the card was done. I am gonna give it to my hubby, he is quite a good dancer and I love to dance with him!

World HELLO day, C4C263!

Did you know it's World HELLO day! Well, it is , so a Happy Hello to you all!

I have used an autumn stamp from Penny Black. The background is one of  my mixed media backgrounds.

Let me see if I remember what I did....first I ironed a wrinkled piece of waxpaper onto a  glossy piece of cardstock, I then sprayed it with a yellow Dylusions spray. When this piece was dry, I used glossy embossing paste on a stencil and let it dry again, the stamps is stamped with saddle brown Stazon ink, sentiment from Flourishes. Hope you like it, Anja

C4C256, orange, purple and green!

It's National Cardmaking Day TODAY!!! Hope you all have time to spend some time crafting!!

The challenge this week over at the CRAZIES is a color challenge, orange-green-purplpe, halloween colors.

To be honest.....I don't do Halloween very well....my excuse is, I did not grow up with it and I just don't get it. When the boys where younger we would go around the block (in the country) and hit all the houses (about 14) the boys would each have a big bag full with candy and we got to see all the neighbours!! 

Anyhow, enough babbling...on to my card....the purple background is shiny paper so its hard to take a good picture, flower is a rose die from Spellbinders, frame and fleur des lis from Silhouette and I used a variety of punches to make the greenery and butterfly. Sentiment from Just Rite.

Fall is here...C4C255!

Fall is here and for us it came with beautiful, sunny weather! Love this time of the year!

So for the challenge over at the CRAZIES, they ask you to use leaves on your card.

For my card, I made a background with Gelatos and then I added some alcohol ink....just to see what would happen...did I discover a new technique? I don't know, I was just playing lol. The leaves are done with a gold paper and some Impression Obsession dies, the sentiment is embossed in gold. Some simple score lines and my card was done. Hope you like  it. Have a great day, Anja

Sketch Challenge, C4C254!

It's the third Saturday of the month and that means there is a sketch challenge over at the CRAZIES.

I love sketches, they are so helpful when you wanna make a card and you don't know exactly what you are making...for me it really works, to have a sketch in front of me.

For this card I used a retired CTMH set and a sentiment from Just Rite, the stamp was inked up with markers and stamped on a script background stamp.

Flower cards!

Recently I made a few flower cards with the Rubbernecker/Art impressions stamps...it was my Mom's birthday and I gave them to her. They are fun to make and not too hard, I have used distress inks, my spritzer, embossing powder and markers.....pretty basic. Hope you like them, Anja
