Happy 50 th Anniversary!

Another anniversary card, this one is with a stamp from Stampendous and the sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo. The flowers are watercoloured with Tombo's, the rest is pretty basic.
There is sponging with River rock ink around the flowers, which gives it a softer look, I think.
Today we were at the Ilderton fair all day and my men are there again tonight, it was fun, but it rained all day, so cold and damp, good thing that we were in the Agri building most of the time where the boys were showing their sheep. Nice to be home, furnace on, hot cup of tea and some quiet time.....
Have a great night, Anja

Anniversary card

An anniversary card for 50 years of marriage, think about it, that's a long time.... A friend asked me to make a card for her good friends who are celebrating this milestone.
She wanted it to be special....well, the white piece in the middle is a piece of tatting, made by me, my first piece of tatting ever.
I got a surprise in the mail, a book with instructions for needle tatting, so I tried it out. As you may know I got some pieces of tatting from a friend from Holland to use on my cards, now I know for sure, that I should only use them for very special occasions!! It's a bit of fine, detailed work!! Go to this blog and you can see a lot of fine tatting!
There is not enough hours in the day....
Have a good one and thanks for looking, Anja

Missing my craft time....

Today I finally got 20 minutes in my craft room.....time just flies by!
The image is from SU, I got this idea from Kim Teasdale, I am doing her on line course and she showed us how to do this faux watercolouring. It's been a while I did this technique but I think it's beautiful. And after not having any craft time for a couple of days, it was time to make a real
Anja card, pink, green, flowers and bling, LOL!
I am off again to go pick up my son from volleyball, he made the team, yippee!!
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Second post today....whoooooooooooooo wants to play, CIC17

Whoooooooooo wants to play???? That's what they want to know over at Clear Dollar stamps, for the challenge CIC 17, it's all about the owl and/or their habitat.
Check out the details HERE.
I haven't played with my Clear Dollar Stamps for a while, so it's high time I do so!!
Since I don't have any owls from CDS, I looked through my collection and came across this stamp, no brand, no name, it's also a bargain from the garage sale from SGD.
The owl is watercoloured with Tombo's, dp from Basic Grey, branches from a punch from SU,
border from a MS borderpunch, bling and buttons from my own collection, die from Nellie Snellen. The sentiment is from Clear Dollar stamps from a set called Kid's encouragement.
Different colours for me, that's for sure, but I like the card.
Have a great evening and thanks for looking, Anja

Stamp barn flowers

Last night, after we spend the day at the Plowing Match, I was sooooooo tired but I really wanted to colour and make a card, maybe I should have gone to bed....
Anyhow, I have used this stamp from the Stampbarn, I got it at the last garage sale at SGD and by the way there is another one coming up, the out the website for some awesome deals.
The image is coloured with Tombo's and the dp is from Memory Keepers, I look at the card myself, and I think.....it's one of those......do I really like it?
But I made a card and today I am sharing it with you.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Popcorn the bear

For you from Popcorn the bear! She is quite big to be on this size card but that's not her fault,LOL! Coloured with Prisma's and Gamsol, stickled up and paired up with some dp from Basic Grey. When I was finished colouring, I wasn't sure....but I have to say, it starts to grow on me.
The butterfly is a die from Joy craft.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your day, we are off to the Plowing match, Anja

Baby card

A baby card from the Popcorn Bear, coloured with Prisma's and Gamsol.
It's not that I haven't done any work in my stamp room, but a lot of stuff is only half finished.....
I have coloured the image with the colours used on the package, love the look of it.
It can be used for a boy or a girl, always handy.
The sentiment is from Verve, fits perfect on the punches from SU.
Hope to be back soon with more to show, thanks for looking, Anja

Stampavie boy and girl

I picked up this cute stamp when Sheila from SGD had it on sale this week, such a cute image! She shouldn't keep having those great sales, LOL!!!
From one of the ladies, who came to the Make and Take, I have learned a lot of things about colouring with the Prisma's. So I couldn't wait to try it out and this is my result.
The card size is 6x6 and the dp from Basic Grey, sentiment from Hero, ribbon out of my own collection and some bling and stickles.
Since school started, life is back to being busy, like normal, you feel like you have to squeeze in some stamp time, but I am not worried, I'll keep working on it.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Welcome home

A Welcome home card for a friend who went to Holland to see family and friends, I don't think she is looking so I am gonna share this card today.
It's a 6 x 6 card, love all the room you have. The frame is from Cuttlebug, one that cuts and embosses at the same time, lots of detail. The flowers are from Just Rite, watercoloured with Tombo's, stickled up, cut out and Flowersoft in the middle. The text I have also made with Just Rite, a MS border and a bow made with the bowmaker, I used my heatgun very carefully on the ends so now they are nice and curly. The flowers are all poppep up, and some even twice.
I am really happy with this card, I hope it makes her happy too!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Brayered background

It's been a couple of days since I have posted something new...I have been working on some cards which I can't show yet. Today I played with my brayer and this is what I came up with. A simple thank you card, always good to have ready for when you need them.
I have followed the tutorial on Splitcoast, it's not hard at all but you probable knew that already.
I am off to pick up my son from volleyball, he is really hoping he will make the team, that will mean lots of driving for me!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

On a Penny Black roll....

I couldn't wait taking a picture till the stickles were dry, I should have...see the little smudge in the right bottom corner? I was lucky enough that I could still fix it, grrr, hate it when that happens.
It's another Penny Black card, told you, I can't put them away, too much fun.
The sentiment is from SU, borderpunch from EK, Nestabilities, some bling, stickles and flower punches. The present and the little flowers are popped up, the image is again watercoloured with Tombo's.
If you click on the picture, you get a better idea.
Thanks for looking, have a great day, Anja

Mix and match

Penny Black stamps are all over my work table, I keep colouring them, they are so nice. This image is from the set Wonderful and I followed the colours they had used for this stamp on the package. Couldn't decide on a borderpunch... so I have used 3 in total.
Oh, and some new Nestabilities, I had saved a gift certificate from my birthday and I have used it now to buy some of the new ones.
The image is watercoloured with Tombo's and then stickled up. The grass border along the bottom is 2 pieces of border and the 2nd one is popped up.
I am wondering when I will get some quality stamping time, it feels like I have a minute here and there.....you would think with the boys back in school...so I keep my fingers crossed, maybe tomorrow?
Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Flowergirl from Pergamano

When I found this set at Novi I was really excited, I know it doesn't take much, LOL! I haven't seen them anywhere else...yet.
So of course I had to have them! Tonight I got a chance to finish this card, the kids went back to school today so life should be getting a little more organized with maybe some more stamping time. The image is watercoloured with Tombo's and the colour combo is very unusual for me.
The little girl is cut out and popped up, I like this effect. I cut the image out with Labels 11, the biggest one so there was nothing left to mat it with, so I cut out the biggest size again and put the scalloped sides on the top and bottom, now it looks like a circle.
Some stickles had to be added and the sentiment is from my collection, sorry don't remember the name. Ribbon from my ribbon box.
That's all I have to say about the card, I am off to bed, it will take some time to get used to being up so early again.
Have a great night and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Penny Black Challenge

Today I have a Penny Black card to share with you, a different size for once, the card measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. I finally got some bigger envelopes so now I can even send those bigger cards, LOL!
This card is for the challenge over at the Penny Black blog, check it out HERE.
The colours to use are purple, cream and brown.
The stamp I used is from the set called Wonderful and that's what all those stamps are from Penny Black, just wonderful!
The sentiment is from Hero, perfect for this little label punch. The little label and flowers are popped up with some dimensionals. The image is watercoloured with Tombo's.
Some cinnamon stickles and a MS border punch and the scorpal to make the frame around it, hard to see in the picture, if you click on it, you get a better idea.
To finish it off, I put some bling in the corners. I am happy with my card, hope you like it too!
Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Penny Black flowers

A different colour combo this time, no pink and no green, LOL!
I was cleaning up again in my craft room, yes again, and I had this punch in my hand....had to make a card with it. You have to click on the picture to get a better look.
The stamp is from Penny Black, some stickels, sentiment and bling. Voila, love it when it seems to come together so easily.
Have a great day, thanks for stopping by, Anja

December birthday card and one more Dutch card...

It is sooooooooo hot and humid here that being able to stay inside is such a blessing!

Usually this time of the year you want to enjoy every bit of nice and sunny weather because before you know...winter will be here, but not now, too hot and too humid.

I have 2 cards to share today, the first one is a birthday card made with Just Rite stamps, as I worked on it and added the flowers, I think it's perfect for a special friend who has a birthday in December, those flowers remind me of pointsettas. It has to be for someone special because I have added a border of tatting, made by my friend Ingrid. She has send me some of her beautiful work, I am very careful not to waste it!!

The second card is another Dutch card, pretty basic. The border is from Martha Stewart, I coloured it watercolour crayons and stickled it up.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

Cleaning up my work space....

You have already seen this same image, I coloured 3 at the same time, so after I made the first card, the other 2 pieces are just cluttering my desk....so here we go. I finished them, one as a birthday card and the other one as a Get well soon card, but I won't bore you with all the same pictures.
The weather is so beautiful and we are really enjoying the pool and those last days of the summer break....soon it will all be over.
Have a great day, thanks for stopping by, Anja

For the happy birthday boy!

This week our youngest son had a birthday and this is the card I made for him. I am a little bit frustrated with the picture....even with extra lights and the photo tent...it looks way better IRL.
If you click on the picture, you get a better idea. And those 2 little black spots where not there before... I took the picture after he got it.
The robot is a little stamp from Michaels, watercoloured with Tombo's. The rest is pretty basic.
I am working on cleaning up some things I started and they are laying on my desk......you know, the things that make your workspace smaller and smaller,LOL!
Hope your day is going well, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Really Dutch card

Red, white, blue and a windmill.....I don't think I can make it any "Dutcher", LOL!
A couple of years ago when this SU set was about to retire, my rep thought for sure I wanted this set, but I was, like, oh no, people in Holland don't need those cards from me in Canada......
Then my mom got a set of cards made with this set....she loved it.....apparently her Dutch immigrant friends like those cards..............so she asks me, do you have the set? No Mom, long story short, I went on Ebay and paid way tooooooooooooo much for this set but I am glad to have it, LOL! My Mom's birthday is coming up and I am making her a set of cards, I better use this set....
I am gonna clean my windows outside, we got some new ones put in and there are so many fingerprints on them, it will top off my Dutch feeling!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Big flower card

Yesterday I got to use this stamp from a friend, I forgot the name of the company again... It's a huge, flower stamp and I coloured it with....watercolour crayons from SU.
I haven't used those in ages.....it was fun to colour with them, different and first I wasn't sure if it was gonna work. So after I was done colouring, I sprayed glimmer mist all over it and put some stickles on it, cut it out and put it on the embossed background. The sentiment says happy birthday in Dutch.
I think it turned out nice, what do you think?
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Two Just Rite cards

Here are 2 of the cards we made at the class at SGD.
In total we made 4 cards but I am pretty sure that I have showed you the other 2 already, we had a great time and I really like teaching those classes, meeting new and old friends and then stamp together! We even had some dessert! It can't get any better.
The stamps we used were from Just Rite and the little sentiment from CDS, the Just Rite stamps are wonderful and they go so well with all the Nestabilities and punches.
Sheila happened to get some of the new arrivals in last night and you know what that means.........
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Inspired by a friend.....

For this card my inspiration came from my friend Joyce, her link is in the sidebar. She made a card with this stamp and coloured it with yellow and orange, very pretty.
I have to admit , I have had this stamp for over a year and played with it but never made it into a card, I usually kept the flowers..........pink, surprise! It looks way better in yellow, such a smart friend I have, LOL!
I coloured it last night, cut it out, poured some Chrystal effect over it and this morning I finished the card, I should be cleaning up here in our house.....
The weather is so much cooler and with the humidity gone, it's nice to be outside again.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Magnolia girl

Here is a card I made last week and forgot to post. It's a Magnolia stamp, I don't have a lot of Magnolia's but they sure are nice.

She is coloured with Prisma's and Gamsol, I started with a piece of dp, didn't work, nothing worked so I made my own. The dies are from Nellie Snellen and the flowers from Joycraft, I was very excited to find those in Novi.

Don't forget that today between 3-5 pm you can come to SGD for a FREE MAKE AND TAKE!

Hope to see you there, Anja

More flowers

For a while I didn't have any watercolour paper left so my Tombo's got a break and I kept happily colouring with my prisma's and Gamsol. Now I have a new pack, so I used my Tombo's again, I almost forgot how much I like these too......so many choices, so little time. This is really an Anja card, pink, green, flowers and pearls.
The stamp I got at the garage sale from SGD for practically nothing.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Red, black and white...

There is not much stamping going on in my house, this is a card I made last week and it's one of those, mmm, not so sure, too busy on the left side, wrong sentiment?
The white cuttlebugged background is done on glossy paper, it gives the card some extra's.
Even though I go over my paper with the embossing buddy and a dryer sheet, I still get some white speckles, I don't like that, I also have a tiny little brush which I use before I heat set, just not perfect. Maybe a smaller sentiment would have been better, oh well, it is what it is, time to move on.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Heartfelt Creations

First of all, this picture doesn't really show how beautiful the card is!!
I had seen the beautiful dies and stamps from Heartfelt Creations....but didn't buy them......now Sheila from SGD is carrying them, how convenient!!
This company makes stamps and Spellbinders has designed the dies for them, you read that right, exclusive for Heartfelt Creations!! It makes cutting out the flowers so easy and you can do so many beautiful things!!
You can read all about it HERE.
As you can see on the website, there are different stamps and dies, oh, the choices we have to make, LOL!!
On Thursday, August 19 from 3 - 5 PM there is a FREE MAKE AND TAKE at SCRAPPINGREATDEALS and we will use some of those new dies!!! Come on out and see what they are all about! It will be fun! I can't wait to show you all the possibilities!!
Hope to see you all there, have a great day, Anja

Friday, August 13, 2010

The same PB flowers....

This stamp was still laying around on my desk, somewhere between a lot of other stuff. So when I started cleaning up, I had to play with it again. Coloured with prisma's and Gamsol and some sponging afterwards.
This Fiskar punch has been a favourite too the last couple of days, time to clean my space and get something else out.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Teddy bear inchies

I got this set with lots of teddy bears from Rubbernecker, I actually numbered them on the back so it's easier to find them, there is 24 in the set! They fit perfectly on the inch squares!
Since I had my alcohol inks out, I started with a strip of that, some blue and silver in there.
The bears got some sparkle with silver and diamond stickles. I want to make another one in pink, it's an easy card to make and I like how it turned out.
Hope you like it too, have a great day, Anja

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

Praying for you......

It is late afternoon but it feels like morning to me.....I went with my son last night on his summer night job delivering newspapers. Everything looks so different at night and it was very foggy too at some spots. We saw some animals and only a couple of other cars. Quite the experience! Now about my card....
The background of this card is made with alcohol inks on glossy paper, it was hard to get a good picture. The image is stamped with stazon and for the rest it is a pretty basic card. The ribbon needs to be there.....I had a sentiment there first but kind of messed up.
Now I am off to make supper for the family, thanks for looking, Anja

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

Sponged background

So many ideas going through my head.....so many things you can do with paper, ink and stamps....good thing I had some serious cleaning to do so that I could think about a card. An old farm house that we were renting out came empty........ There is a lot of cleaning required so hopefully that will mean lots of card ideas, LOL!
If you need time to think, come on over and bring your gloves.....Just kidding!
I have used a Penny Black flower on glossy paper. The bg is inked sponged on, I did this first before I stamped. After I had stamped the flower, I sprayed some glimmermist over it and then I wiped it off with a tissue , I wasn't sure if I was gonna reck the image but it didn't.
It gave it a softer look, which I like.
Then I had to add some stickles and voila, the card was made.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Just Rite elegant card

The Just Rite stamps are so pretty, I love them!!
I have not posted for a couple of days, but I did finish about 45 Christmas cards so that's why.
Today I had time to play with this set.....I stamped it first with a border....but by accident I cut it off, oh well, you have to be creative. Since I had already coloured this piece, I finished the card.
I really like it myself, love this style, flowers, bling, stickles, pink and green and what about that new CB folder? Like that one too.
Hope you are having a great day, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Fuzzy High Hopes baby

Yesterday I didn't have any inspiration.......sigh, it wasn't a productive day, but I cleaned up my scraparea. A little trip to Sheila at SGD did wonders for my creative juices, LOL! Honestly, I had to drop something off.........
but I also picked something up! This cute baby stamp is from High Hopes, I coloured with Prisma's and Gamsol, and I put some fuzzy, white stuff on the cloud.
One of the little hearts on the bottom is popped up. The big bling is from the Dollarstore.
Hope you can stay cool in this hot and humid weather!!!
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Teen Soccer Boy

Today I am sharing a card with you made with a stamp I got at the garage sale. Perfect for teenage boys, I think. It's a fun and easy stamp to colour, the soccer ball is cut out, popped up and then I added crystal effects.
It's another hot and humid day here, I am so lucky I get to spend time again at the dentist..............it looks like my last appointment and everything should be done!
Oh well, it will be cool there, have a great day, Anja

Playing with some leftovers.....

Happy Holiday Monday, for us Canadians!!
We are gonna enjoy this day by going to friends who have a cottage on the lake!
The Greeting farm girl from 2 days ago and this Sarah Kay girl were coloured at the same time, can you tell. I had the same dp in mind....and the cards are not that different. All the dp is gone, and the leftovers are used. Time to start a new card.....
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

SU Happy Birthday

It's good to have friends...........especially the ones that share the stamping with you!! This stamp isn't mine either, it is from a SU set, sorry, don't know the name.
Coloured with prisma's and Gamsol. I have noticed that the main image isn't exactly in the middle, when I put the bling on the sides I found that out, oh well, it is as it is.
The little butterfly is popped up, the rest of the card is pretty basic.
Hope your day is going well, we are off to church and then a birthday party, take care, Anja

Saturday, July 31, 2010

Isn't she cute?

Isn't she cute? I think she is, this Greeting Farm girl finally made it to a card....I had her coloured a while ago. Again, with prisma's and Gamsol, still didn't get my watercolour paper but I did found some more sheets, so that's good.
I really like this card myself, the little flower is made with my dies from Crealies.
I forgot where the dp is from, I ripped it out one of those little books when I started to colour and it's been a while. The stamp isn't even mine, when I get my hair done, I also get to stamp.......sometimes there is a bonus in turning grey, LOL! Angie, my hairdresser and I use each other stamps while we are waiting for the grey to disappear.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Bright Penny Black

Here is one of my neglected Penny Black stamps, she was just laying in a drawer, didn't get inked up much..................
So I used this stamp and coloured it my Prisma's and Gamsol, did some sponging, put a sentiment on and finished the card. Oh, and don't forget the stickles.
It's not that there is no new stuff or new to me stuff waiting to get some ink on them......
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

More wedding wishes..........

Another wedding card made, I keep selling the ones I have made and we have a wedding ourselves on Saturday so I made another one. The stamps are from Inkadinkadoo, the colours are black, silver and the dp.............I think it's from CM a long time ago, not sure.
I have added another light to take a picture of my cards, but I still think you need to click on the photo to get a better look. I'll keep on trying.
Have a great day, take care, Anja

CC Design, happy birthday.

After taking a picture of this card, experiencing with some extra lights and the photo tent, I do realize that this girl is laying down on......nothing?
I should have given her at least some grass or so to lay on, she must be exhausted, lol!
Oh well, I did do some sponging, something I don't do very often because I don't want to mess up what I just coloured.
The sentiment is from Hanna stamps, dp from Basic Grey, borderpunch from MS, CB embossing border, pearls and flowers from stash.
The image is coloured with prisma's and Gamsol.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Well, you can still go tomorrow. I came back with a bag full of bargains, sooooo much fun!
This is the card I made yesterday with some Just Rite and Inkadinkadoo stamps, I have to say the picture doesn't really show how the card is. I call it an elegant, romantic card, and it's for a special couple. If you click on it, you do get a better view.
Hope your day is going great, I am gonna unpack my bag........take care, Anja

Penny Black birthday!

Love, love this new set from Penny Black!! I had seen it on line when it came out.........couldn't resist, LOL!
I have been trying some different things to improve the quality of the pictures, I do have a photo tent but I think I need more lighting around it, the cards really look nicer IRL!
This image is coloured with Prismacolour pencils and Gamsol, I have hardly any of my favourite watercolour paper left and I can't get it here so my beloved Tombo's have a little break.
The pencils with Gamsol work like a charm too, so easy and the soft look is nice.
The sentiment is from Clear Dollar stamps, paper from DCWV, ribbon from stash, EK heart punch, Nestabilities and some stickles.
Hopefully the sun will come out and dry our wheat fields, so that we can get the wheat off.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Happy Sailing!

Smooth sailes and happy sailing, wow, did I tell you that we had a little sailboat for about 3 weeks? It's sold now, we are not the sailors my dh thought we could be.
It went really well till something went wrong.......the for sale sign was up again, and we have decided we are more the kayakers, nice and safe.
About the card, I have used the boat before in a similar layout, this time it's coloured with prismacolour pencils and Gamsol, this ek punch just need to be used on a card like this. A MS punch was used along the bottom.
Hope your day is going well, thanks for stopping by, Anja

The monthly challenge over at Clear Dollar Stamps is all about Gratitude, you can find the details HERE.
This time I choose to use some other stamps which is okay for the challenge.
THe image is from Inkadinkadoo, coloured with prisma's and Gamsol, the sentiment from CC Amyr designs. The little tag is made with a punch, the border with a Fiskars punch, dp from Basic Grey. Love it that the new CB dots folder is big enough for the whole front of the card! Some Nestabilities and some stickles and a pearl to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

Tomorrow we are going to a wedding, really looking forward to it, especially to the dance in the evening, I love to dance with my husband.
But now about the card, I have kept the layout pretty similar to the Christmas card from 2 days ago, eggplant, white and silver are the colours. Sentiment from Inkadinkadoo and the main image is from Just Rite.
Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Just Rite Christmas

Last year I made a promise to myself that I would start early on my Christmas cards. I didn't like not having time to get them all done. So here I am, posting my second Christmas card and I have already made 10 in total!!!
This stamp is from Just Rite and I have used the image as a snowflake, the sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps. The rest is pretty simple, I love this clean and elegant look.
Hope your day is going well, take care, Anja

Christmas in July

We are back from 2 camping trips, lots of fun, laughter, family time. sleeping in, beach time, reading, kayaking, and way too much junk food.
Slowly we are settling in a new sort of routine, laundry is done, things are back in place, and my fridge is full with healthy stuff.
Today I sat down in my stamp space and made a Christmas card. It feels so good to stamp again!! I guess this picture isn't the best, you probably have to zoom in.
We have a wedding this Saturday so I better get going on making a card for that.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja
